End of Y32!
What a IC year it has been! The time has just flown on past us and we are now ready to close Y32! There are a few things that I need to go over, which will be happening in the next few days. So, read on!
Graduation
As always this time of year is filled with a whole bunch of fun events, that is including of course the graduation ceremony. If you have a seventh year student and haven’t posted yet be sure to do that soon! If you’ve been invited to the ceremony, are a professor, hogwarts staff or a prefect, have not yet posted but wish to, then don’t wait around. The area won’t be around forever, so be sure to post before it could be too late. It is always very nice to see the graduating class and their guests in the ceremony. The ceremony itself can be found here, and the guests can post in here. Do this before it’s too late!
End of year feast
As most will be able to tell, with the final points accounted for, the house cup winner is HUFFLEPUFF.
This is clearly the year of the hufflepuff, so be sure to react to this with hufflepuff!
Congratulations to hufflepuff and to all of the students who helped get them to that goal. A round of applause for the house. It was quite a victory, with double the amount of points that Slytherin received. If you wish to join in with celebrations for hufflepuff house or be bitter in your loss then head on over to the End Of Year Feast! And HERE it is! There you can post with your students who can either be happy or sad about the house points and find out which of the students got the top points.
Group Promotion
At some point tomorrow, students will be promoted to their new grade/year levels. The seventh years will be placed into the graduating class, which will give them time to finish off any topics that are still on going in the school, though you would be wise to wrap those up soon. Just before the beginning of the next “year” they will be placed into the magical group, but you can request to be moved into another group via this application here, which will remain open during the sorting period. All other applications are now closed, and will not reopen until the new IC year has properly begun, so any specific jobs will need to wait until them. Otherwise, folk will be able to enjoy their new groups tomorrow. However, of course new prefects and the head people position will of course be awarded at a later date, close to when the school year is due to begin. Students and professor will receive their galleons at some point over the next few days too!
Professor positions
We have a number of professor positions that will become available soon, be on the lookout for those and consider if you could apply for them. Being a professor can be a lot of work and we expect a lot from our professors, but the admin are here to support you in it and here to help you if need be. It is a team effort of course, so long as you communicate with us, we can help you. Look at what’s available, poke us if you have any questions and have a go at applying if you think you can spare the time for it, especially if you currently don’t hold any professor positions. A few of the positions will be upper years, which if you are looking to try out being a professor, have fewer and smaller classes, meaning that the workload is just that little bit easier. Be on the lookout, and apply away! It is a rewarding position and helps towards the overall running of HNZ.
Holiday forums
The holiday forums will also be opened shortly, these will remain open for the duration of the holiday. There is still no shopping system, so you do not need to worry about having to buy things for classes. The system will be coming back soon. You can start topics, shopping or otherwise to your heart's content. If you run into any problems being unable to post in certain area that you should be able to, then be sure to reach out to both myself and Cyndi to get the issue resolved.
Sorting
Now, for the information you have all been waiting on SORTING!
Sorting will be opening very soon, so I hope you have everything ready to jump right in. As ever the first person to post once it’s open wins the pride of being first! Be on the look out for a post from the admin to indicate that sorting has been opened! Then you will be able to sort away until the area closes. If you are itching to get started on the sorting madness you can hop on over to the sorting reaction topic found here! Give your predictions about where your sortees may end up!
