Matthew found it strange to think he was in his final year, as it felt like the time was flying by. He had transferred to Hogwarts two years ago now, and while he missed some things from Ilvermorny, he felt more at home here in New Zealand than he had there. He had more friends, and was doing well in his classes. He even felt like the quidditch team had really accepted him, though he wasn't entirely pleased with his performance during matches so far.

He hadn't really had the chance to fly during the holidays, so in order to prepare for the upcoming season of quidditch he decided to practice a little. His position as keeper was impossible to really practice on his own, but he could at least get used to flying again. It was also a bit of an excuse to get out of the castle and into the sky, as he had many things on his mind. Flying was one of the best ways to clear your thoughts, in Matthew's opinion, and he had a lot of things to contemplate.

He flew laps silently as he let his thoughts run free, only paying enough attention to make sure he wasn't running into anything. There was the matter of his sisters, both of which were angry with him and with each other. He hated how the situation had gone, but in the end he figured it was mostly on him. He could have talked to them both and cleared things up. It felt like every step of the way he was messing up, and he didn't know how to make it better. Another issue on his mind was Leah, he missed his best friend a lot and while they kept in contact, they hadn't actually seen each other in a while. Even with the distance and time between them, he still had feelings for her. Unrequited feelings, which he knew he had to try to get over. Maybe he should ask a girl to the yule ball? But he had no idea who. Besides, it could be unfair to them. He sighed, slowing down on his broom. Perhaps it was time to go back to the castle, flying didn't seem to be working to clear his mind today.

Charlotte hadn't spoken to Matthew in a long time. She was angry at him for lying to her. Everyone lied to her and she was done with it. Charlotte had decided to make Odette her life a hell and nothing would stop her. The plan to let Beaubelle fall for her succeeded and she had the girl wrapped around her finger. Now the other part has to succeed where Beaubelle see's what kind of person Odette really is. It wasn't like Odette screamed it from the rooftops that she and her were half sisters and that Matthew was her half brother. Charlotte was glad that her father would never accept the girl. And she would rub that in the girls face soon. The blonde went out to search for her brother. She figured they had to talk and if he wasn't the responsable one she would be. Matthew was already in his last year and so that ment that he would leave her. Matthew would choose his own path and Charlotte was not sure if she would see him much more. He and dad weren't on good terms and she just wanted him to come home and be a family again. The blonde noticed some blonde hair on the Quidditch pitch where some student had told she could find her brother. Ofcourse he would be there. The blonde came a bit closer and sighted. '' Matt?'' the blonde asked just to be sure. She came closer and was curious how he would react.

Matthew's mind was many miles away, so it took him a while to realize there was someone else on the Quidditch pitch. As soon as he was aware of their presence, he looked down. It was a surprise to see who it was. His youngest sister called his name, and he flew down without much thought. If she wanted to talk to him, he was happy and grateful for it. As he had been scared things would be ruined between them forever, though he also didn't think a single conversation was going to fix everything. This was a strange place to find Charlotte. Unlike Odette, she didn't seem to have any interest in Quidditch as a sport, even though she was very competitive in everything else. He landed and got off his broom, running a hand through his hair as he looked at his youngest sister. She had grown, he noticed, and it made him sad that enough time had passed between the last time he saw her that he could notice it. "Lot, what are you doing here?" He asked her cautiously.
