Emptiness and darkness through the colors

The world seemed bright with the combination of the colors that seemed to spread through the whole scenery. The sky was covered with a perfectly light blue color with the white clouds that paints through the light blue color.The brightness of the sun that gave a light color to all the place.A light that reflected on Daniel's perfectly silky blonde hair.The soft green grass compliments the light blue color that the sky was giving off. It all seems regenerating for all the people.Regeneration that gives hope to each and everyone who had their problems.

Daniel's green eyes seemed to like staring at the people who were walking chatting or plainly relaxing. He envied all of them for his heart's desires were all covered with darkness,loneliness and emptiness.No hope could give brightness to his long and lonely mind.His path seems lost after all the things that he'd been through. He envied those people who could freely open up everything that they are going through.He could never speak of anything about his life to anyone anymore.He envied those people who could show that certain peace of mind without anything in the world to bother them.

Looking at the perfect scenery, Daniel decided to lie down on the soft grass.He missed how everything worked before the tragedy. He missed the faces that seemed to always smile at him.He missed the laughter that he used to share with his friends but now its all gone and nothing can ever turn back time again. He stared at the clouds wond'ring how they came up to be.He looked at it and just imagined himself free flowing with the floating clouds above his face.

Sapphire loved her house. She loved her new friends who didn't seem to mind that she couldn't talk and most of all she loved life at Hogwarts already. It was still cold so Sapphire could still cover her self up with a scarf so no one would see her marking but she knew that as the weather got warmer that people would ask why she always wore turtle neckes or her favoret blue jacket. Sapphire made her way out to the lawn hoping to find something to do while she waited for classes to start when she saw Silence (Daniel) lying on the grass.

Sapphire had wanted to see him since she found him uncontiuse in Brightstone. That and she wanted him to see her new wand. Sapphire kneeled and tapped Slilence on the forehead then smiled. Are you still there? Her smile seemed to ask. Sapphire could understand the sorrow that always seemed to follow Silence because it had once lived in her heart too. When it seemed like she was never going to be able to get out of Bella-Donna manor. She hadn't been sure that she was going to survive. She had and Sapphire was happy to be here for however long her freedom was going to last.

The clouds just looked so calm and peaceful.Just like Daniel's world before the dreadful darkness covered Daniel's heart. The clouds used to calm him even before the accident.He wished that he'd see his friends on the clouds and see them smile even for the last glimpse of time.

While Daniel was reliving those memories of laughter and smiles, a familiar girl showed up.Daniel sat up straight to face the girl. It was her, the girl that he hanged out with.The girl that filled up the silence.After he became unconscious during their walk in the filthy Bleak street, he never saw her again after she drew somethings on his arm.

Daniel's green eyes stared at the girl.A stare that says "You look happy,good to see you again." He gave the girl a friendly hug that says "How have you been?"

It was unusual for Daniel to act this way after the accident.But there was just something that the girl possesses that Daniel can't really determine.

Sapphire had seen him again in Brightstone but he had been away from his mind at the moment so it was no wonder that Silence didn't remember being there. Sapphire wrapped her arms back around Silence feeling the warmth of a friendly hug. She was always happy to see Silence well even though he seemed like he would never be totally all her.

Sapphire hoped that at least in her Silence could find the same peace that she found in him and a good chunck of her friends. She could never open up to them because of her condition but she could take comfort in the fact that they would never ask her questions. She could tell that Danial too would never ask her questions. Sapphire let Silence go and pointed at her chest. She had taken to waring her Hufflepuff badge one whatever clothes she wore so people would see that she was a very proud Puff, no matter what the reputation of the house was.

Sapphire looked down then back up. She rolled up she sleeve and showed Silence a bruse that had been made by her brother. She knew he wouldn't tell anyone. Sapphire had no way of telling him what happened but she could show him what came from it. I got in the way. her body language seemed to say.

After the accident, Daniel had never dared to feel anything again. His emotions were drained that was why he always seemed to have that void face present in him.But when this girl hugged him back, he felt the presence of a friend. A friend who will not have the guts to hurt him.A friend who seemed to understand what he was going through.

After she let go of Daniel, the girl pointed something on her chest.It was a Hufflepuff badge. She seemed really excited to show the badge.Daniel just gave a nod.After showing him a face of excitement, her face of nature changed.She rolled up her sleeve and showed him a bruise on her arm.It seemed really bad.Her body language says that she have done something that did not please the person who did that to her. Daniel felt a sudden pity when she showed the bruise.It was the first time that Daniel felt something towards another person again. He followed the shape of the bruise and for some reason he just gave the girl a pat on the shoulder

There where people that would expect more from someone but Sapphire was just happy to have someone who knew some of what she went through. She didn't want him to be sad because of her so she smiled wide and shook her head. Don't be sorry for me. She seemed to be saying. It was odd realy. Neather one of them talked to each other and they understood each other clearly. It was something that Sapphire found very special so she did what she hadn't ever done at all. She hadn't had anyone to do this with. She hugged Daniel like a brother and burried her head in his shouler as if he where he father she had never set eyes on.

Sapphire knew that he didn't do this with most people because like her Silence could be afraid that people would hurt her. Sapphire had not met anyone who was cruel to her yet but she knew that there would be people that where. She would face them now. They wouldn't be able to hurt her like she was hurt at home because they where not as poweful as the people in her home. Sapphire felt that as long as there where people that liked her she could face anything.

While following the shape of the bruise,the girl brightened up her face and shook her head.She must be saying that he should not be sad for her but because of Daniel's tragic past, Daniel can't help but to feel the slightest pain of the people who are close to him.Before Daniel could think of anything else, the girl hugged him.Daniel felt that the girl longed for a family to hug her like that.He knows the feeling of longing for little things that can become a very big deal for others so Daniel hugged her back.He himself longs for things that may seem little to people but it means a lot to him just like the smiles and the laughter of his friends when they were alive or the way his parents showed how much they used to care.

After that hug, they both let go.Daniel sat on the ground again and offered the girl an empty spot beside him.This was just like what happened on Bleak street.

It was becoming a ritual for them. Sitting by each other and enjoying each others silence. This was why she had ended up calling him Silence in the first place. He cared for her. She didn't know why but Silence cared for her. In return she would do her best to care for Silence the way Sapphire thought that he should have been cared for. She sat by him and took out a pad of paper. She took out a set of markers and a pencil, which seemed very muggle around here but still it was the only thing she could draw with, and started to draw.

Sapphire looked up at the clouds for a second then looked back down at her pad of paper. It took her all of a couple of minutes to make a replica of the sky. She took a marker and instead of making he sky blue she made the clouds blue. She showed it to Silence to see what he would think of it. This was normally her point of view. Not really what anyone would think of doing but really what everything saw.

Since the accident, Daniel had never thought that he would have a connection with anyone ever again since he had lost the two people who seemed to understand him fully.The two people who knew who he really was and the two people whom he shared everything with who were now gone.When they died he felt that they have taken Daniel away with them.But this girl who suddenly shows up in his life..She just popped from nowhere and now it felt like the two of them connected in some sort of way.

The girl started to draw something on a piece of paper.She showed it to Daniel.It was the sky but the clouds were blue. Daniel gave a smile that no one had ever seen him do for a while.

Sapphire stared at him for a bit then placed a hand on his cheek. Smile more Her eyes said. She meant it. Danial was most beautiful when he smiled. This was coming from a child's perspective because Sapphire had never felt what it was like to love as others in the school seemed to know how to love each other. Boyfriends and girlfriends where an unknown concept to Sapphire Clow. A dark tendril fell from her neatly done up pigtails and Sapphire tucked it automatically behind her ear as she looked back down at her drawing.

The pencil started to work again as she drew what she saw in Silence's smile. She drew how she saw his face and body then started to draw a pair of wings. She drew one wing whole then she drew the other wing as if it had seen better days. It was crumpled and there where feathers flying out but it was still whole. You are still whole. She seemed to be saying when she looked back up at Silence. A little damaged perhaps but still whole. Sapphire smiled then bit her lip hoping that Silence would not get mad at her.

The girl's hand felt cold to his skin but it felt comfortable.Is it possible that this girl had a little thing for him? Daniel knows how it felt to love someone and the feeling of being loved because just before the accident he realized that the other person who understood him was someone he considered special.But then she died.Daniel closed his eyes knowing that his heart was not yet ready to move on.Besides, they still do not know the deepest secrets that they need to tell. For an eleven year old boy, he seemed to have gone through a lot. And he could tell that the girl had been through a lot too for her young age.

Daniel opened his eyes and saw that the pencil started to draw something again. The girl might have noticed him smile because it was what her art portrayed. Then, she drew a pair of wings and Daniel noticed the difference between the two wings.Daniel had his head dumbfounded for a while but after a second, he understood what the drawing meant. He nooded. He refused to smile but the girl may see that his eyes brightened up.

Sapphire had little idea what love was so she didn't know that she was growing feelings for him. If anything she thought that what se was feeling for a certan Ravenclaw had something to do with what everyone in the school seemed to be involved in. She wondered if maybe she was growing up a little bit emotionally and not just phisicly. She had to admit that she had looked a lot different when she had first popped up in Bleak Street but she also knew that it was not by much. Sapphire looked at Silence with a bright smile on her face but saw that his was gone.

Sapphire could see that there was joy in his eyes though so pocked him in the side gently with her finger. Smile. She seemed to say as she put her finger to her lips and pushed up one corner so he could see what she meant. Sapphire was feeling a bit playful which was something that she rarely felt. Mainly because playfulness was quickly met with fear as her youngest brother showed everyone exsactly how he liked to play. Thinking of Phobos made Sapphire shiver then look at Silence with wide eyes. What would he do now?

One minute the girl was smiling and giving the message that Daniel should smile but after the next few seconds, everything changed.The girl looked at Daniel.She seemed to be really terrified.Daniel did not notice the change at a quick pace of time but when he looked again, the girl was shivering.Now that worried Daniel.

Daniel was not the type of guy who gets worried easily especially after the accident.The accident had made him numb.He never thought that anything could ever make him worried but why was he so worried?Maybe he got to know the girl a little better and she got close to him.Daniel did not know what to do.

Daniel gave his leather jacket to the girl just like on the bleak street..He knew how it felt to have the shivers.And most of the times, shivers made even his innermost self feel cold.Maybe the girl feels the same with the shivers.It was not dejavu but it seemed to have repeated. After putting the jacket around her back, Daniel put his hand on the girl's shoulder.He wondered what made this girl feel a sudden fear.

Sapphire was drawn into her own memories now. Black laughter echoed through her head as she was looked at her brother do the most horrible things. Things that Sapphire knew where not meant for a child to do. Phobos meaning Fear. Her little brother was named after fear itself. Sapphire breathed and reminded herself that Phobos was not anywhere near her. It was this that allowed Sapphire to calm down a little bit. Sapphire gulped then clung to the jacket that was around her now. She clung to the warmth that Silence provided for her.

Sapphire realized that he was still here and he wasn't hurting her. He wasn't messing with her mind so much that she wanted to scream. Then again with in Bella-Donna Manor Sapphire could scream all she wanted, no one was ever going to hear her. The fear that that Sapphire felt seeped away as she sat there looking at Silence. He would never hurt her, she realized that now. Thank you for staying Sapphire signed with a soft smile on her face.

Daniel knew that the girl appreciated him staying beside her.Daniel nodded at her.His green eyes looked at her saying "Anything for a friend". He had been using his eyes a lot to tell everything now.Maybe stares can speak louder than words. Daniel gave another subtle smile.

Daniel got kind of tired of sitting so he stood up.Maybe they could go somewhere together again.Just like before. He made a gesture asking if she wants to go somewhere with her. Now the smile was not so subtle and Daniel was sure that the girl have seen his smile. Daniel remembered that the girl that he had been hanging out with still does not know his name. He decided to re introduce himself.He took a piece of paper and wrote something.

"Hi.I have been hanging out with you for a long time but I have not told you my name yet.I am Daniel.Daniel Grigori" Daniel wrote. He handed the piece of paper to the girl and looked at her expression.

Sapphire smiled wide when she got Daniel's meaning. He called her his friend. Sapphire had gotten a few friends while she had been waiting for Hogwarts but she knew that for someone like Silence to call her a friend was something all the more special. Sapphire's smile grew all the more when Silence offered her a subtle smile.

Sapphire could almost just out of her skin in happiness. They didn't even seem to need sign language it seemed like they spoke a language all their own. Sapphire nodded when Silence offered her to go walk with him. The grounds where not dangerous as far as she knew. Well not the places that they had been allowed to go into. Sapphire looked as Silence wrote something on his own piece of paper.

When she read it she wrapped her arms around his neck. He had told her his name. Daniel. That's a nice name. I've been calling you Silence all this time. She wrote under what he had written and laughed. Sapphire added to it by writing And you remember my name right?

Daniel had never seen the girl smile like that.In fact it was the first time he saw a real smile that was not a simper after the accident.After the accident, most girls who did not know but suddenly knew about his past made their self-conscious smile thinking that they would not hurt his feelings.Other than those simpers,mocking smiles kept on looking at him.Especially in the reform school.

In some ways, smiling was contagious.Daniel had his heart covered with vengeance and darkness for sometime that he already forgot how to smile. And he was pretty sure that this girl in front of him was the first one to see him make a smile again.Even though it was subtle in some way.

The girl seemed to be replying to what Daniel had written to his piece of paper.Oh is it a ice name?I understand why you have that nickname for me. Daniel drew a smiling face on the paper.It's nice to see you so happy after all this time that we have been together.Yes I remember your name.I have never forgotten it since you brought out that sapphire gem. Daniel wrote.

Sapphire smiled the way she smiled because every bit of kindness was a gift to her. She had lived in a house where kindness had be to payed off. Where you constantly owed someone something for their kindness. Sapphire had been wry of people when she first got here but when started to see that people where being nice to her and not expecting anything of her she smiled more.

Sapphire could see that that Daniel was starting to see that Sapphire was not going to hurt him. She was starting to love him like the family she had never known. She was happy that she could make his smile even if they where just little smiles. Yes it's a nice name. It's better than my brother's name Phobos. She wrote back. Sapphire hated that name. She hated everything about her little brother. There where times she wished he would just go away forever.

Sapphire looked at her reply and added. Why wouldn't I be happy? Your one of the best friends I have here.

Daniel'e eyes shimmered just like of a girl.He had forgotten every emotion of friendship and everything good since that accident. Every emotion that he had was changed to anger,despise,suffering and sadness.That may be the reason why he would never want to bring out his story to anyone.

The way that the girl called her a 'bestfriend' made a little change in his heart. Little by little he felt that being with this girl might just change the new him.The person that was formed after the accident was the new him.Daniel took the piece of paper and wrote something. Thank you Daniel wrote.There was still a void expression on his face but his green eyes could tell it all.

That moment made him forget that they were standing already and they were ready to walk. Daniel wrote another thing on the paper.
I guess if we would like to go somewhere we should walk now before the bell rings.We wouldn't want to miss our class now won't we?

Sapphire hooked herself onto Daniel's arm and leaned her head against it. She knew nothing of what she was doing because her mind didn't work like that. In her mind she was just showing him how much she wanted to be his friend. She knew about suffering and she knew about pain but she didn't want Daniel to think about that. She wanted him to know that at least with her around no one would ever hurt him. She would never hurt him. She had been telling the truth when she wrote that Danial was one of her best friends.

Sapphire looked at what he wrote and nodded. You are very welcome. She said with a bright smile on her face. she nodded at Danial's next statement too. They did need to get to class even though she didn't feel right in them. She felt as if all eyes where on her because she could not answer the teacher's questions they the other students could. Sapphire tightened her grip on Danial's arm and looked up as if to say Don't let me walk in there alone.

Daniel slowly shook his head when the girl tightened her grip to Daniel's arms. He knew that this girl did not want to walk on every step way alone.Daniel knows how awkward it feels to walk alone when you don't feel like it.Eyes would seem to be staring for no reason at all.Daniel suddenly remembered how he acted with his friends. He would never let anything harm them nor destroy them without a fight. He knew that this girl considered Daniel as a friend.Even though his ways might have changed his gentleman gesture cannot go away.Daniel did not know the reason why but he felt that he was obliged to protect his friends from harm.

Daniel started making his steps away from where he sat.Both of his hands were on the girl's shoulders. He felt like he was with his friends once again.He used to go behind his friends and walk with his hands on one of their shoulders.They used to have a lot of fun when they do that. Daniel cannot understand it but he felt brighter and he felt some light shine within his heart when this girl drew a bright smile on her face.

Sapphire laughed and felt like she would have shreaked if she could. She had rarely played before. She had always been afaid to do because if she did bad things happened. A lot of bad things happened to the Children of Bella-Donna. This was a good thing though. Danial along with her other friends where very good things. She felt confident again. It was a matter of thinking. If Danial was in the same class with her then they could be silent together. They couldn't put both of them in trouble because they couldn't speack. Sapphire started to struggle against Daniel playfuly with a bright smile on her face.

After that time of playing,Daniel suddenly came to a realization that made him stop playing.His smile slowly disappeared.He remembered his friends.He missed them during that moment.During that time he decided to let the world hear his voice once again but something just stopped him. He knows that the girl observed the sudden change in his mood but he thought that he would not explain anything when the girl asks.He just stood there thinking, but there are expressions on his face.He decided to start the walk so that they would not miss any of there class already.He nooded his head as a symbol that says that they should be heading to some place.

But Sapphire didn't ask. She knew what it was like to suddenly remember something that bothered you to the very core. Instead she ran her hand down his back in a comforting gestrue and nodded. They had to be in class. They could sit in the back and observe the other people in the class answer questions and be active in class. Sapphire couldn't be active in class. Not with her current condition still active.
