(Red for Emilia Manning, open after Daphne)

Emilia Manning was another person Nixon wasn't very familiar with. Though he did recognize the surname he knew little else about the girl he was looking for, which made delivering the red rose that he was sure was important to her a more difficult task. Assuming the most efficient thing to do would be to stay in the great hall and call the girl's name like he did with his previous delivery, Nixon did just that hoping Emilia would be nearby. "Is Emilia Manning here?" He called out, looking around the hall to see if there was some kind of response.

Emilia was in a bit of a daze after receiving more than one pink rose from Derek, and was trying to find him. She hadn't seen him around yet, and worried they wouldn't meet up until the dance tonight. She also hoped to see Jacob, so maybe she could tell him about the developments that had happened. As she walked around, she suddenly heard her name. She turned to the boy who had called it with wide eyes. Another? She hesitantly stepped forward. "I'm Emilia..."

"Oh, hey." Nixon said when a girl stepped forward, telling him she was Emilia. He searched for the red rose in his basket. "This rose is for you, but it doesn't have a note. Guess you have a person that secretly loves you." He mused as he offered the rose to her. Not adding a note to a rose would have been something Nixon thought of as weird if he hadn't sent a note-less rose himself. He figured the person that did send it must have been too scared to mention their name, and that was understandable.

Emilia stared at the older boy as he told her the rose she was being given was red and without a note. She swallowed, feeling a storm of butterflies dancing in her stomach. "A..are you sure?" She asked him softly. "It's not for... Evelyn Manning instead, is it?" This didn't feel like a rose she should be getting. Had Derek sent her a red one too? Or was it someone else? Maybe it really was a mistake.

Nixon shook his head when Emilia asked if the rose was for someone else. He was sure the name on his list was Emilia and not Evelyn, and knew that he had delivered the rose to the right person even if she didn't believe it was for her. If the same thing happened to him and he had been delivered a red rose without a note he would be just as confused, so he understood the confusion, but that didn't mean he knew how to respond to it other than to shrug. "It's definitely for Emilia, that's what my list says." He confirmed.

Emilia held her breath after her question, as she had already half convinced herself she had been right in guessing it was meant for Evelyn instead. Their names were similar, after all. But then the boy shook her head, and she felt relieved as well as nervous. It was... thrilling, knowing that someone, maybe Derek, had sent her a red rose. "Oh." She said softly. "Thank you..." She added hesitantly. She finally took the rose from him, then felt unsure of what to say next.
