Kelsey was back in New Zealand after a long absence and she was now planning to stay. She'd gone on a pub tour for a while with her sister and she hadn't heard anything from her brother in ages. She worried about him for a long time, but she figured he was just on his own journey, a journey she knew she needed to let him continue on. Still, with Venn out on his own now and Ronnie on the circuit, Kelsey had time to herself again. It was strange for her, her parents had always been so protective and after she'd travelled learning all sorts of healing techniques from others, it was like they didn't even matter anymore. She felt harsh just thinking it, but it was the truth. She wasn't even sure she'd spoken to her mother since she'd left. The last thing she'd heard was that Spooch had died, which wasn't unexpected. She'd had him for most of her childhood and he'd been old even before that. She'd never really expected him to live past ten, it had been a miracle really when he had.

The day had come though, when she would have to buy another animal, she needed a companion, someone to be with her. She liked to always have a pet and though he owl was great, he wasn't great company, as he was so bitey she preferred to leave him in his cage, but what to get? There were many animals through out New Zealand, some magical, others muggle and she just didn't know what would be best at this rate. She ducked her head and looked through the shop window, just wondering what she should be buying. A dog perhaps? Or maybe a cat this time around? Did she want something small like a fish? Or something exotic like a chicken? Not exotic but nature certainly, but exotic by classification as pet. It would be nice to see how she would go choosing an animal on her own. She'd never done it before. Her parents always told her she was bad at decisions. She couldn't tell if she'd yet to prove them right or wrong.

Max still wasn't sure why there was a sudden mass exodus of the Blackfyre family to New Zealand but after fighting it for months he had finally decided to pack up and relocate with his family. For the meantime he was still commuting back to London for his Ministry work but he knew at some point he would need to find a local job. If he was lucky he would be able to get in with the NZ ministry but he would look into that at a later time. For now he wanted to get used to his new surroundings. Knowing people in the area already had been helpful when it came to looking for a place and he managed to find one without taking up Lancelot's offer of crashing on his sofa.

With everything unpacked he decided to take a walk to the local high street. He wasn't as discerning as some of his relatives when it came to shopping in areas heavily populated by muggles. Not everything he owned had to be bought from a crazy wizard in a dusty shop. The high street was busy as he expected but that didn't bother him too much as he hadn't come out in search of anything in particular. He did however find himself drawn to a pet shop window where he was mesmerized by the display of puppies in the window. Perhaps that was something he needed for his new apartment. He'd never had his own pet since he moved out of the family home. Maybe it was time. "You looking for a new pet too?" He asked the blonde next to him, unsure why he made it seem like he was out shopping for a pet. Max hadn't made any such decisions yet.
