Ivori Smith had not planned to attend a traditional Wizarding school, and yet here she was in all her Ivori skinned, pure blooded glory, sitting in a garden with a frown on her face studying from a text book for a pointless class. Everything about this situation was ridiculous, but it wasn't as if the twelve year old had a choice to be independent. The newest head of the Smith legacy had decided that the children would not be home schooled as their siblings before them. no they'd be forced to go to a school, surrounded by muggles, and veelas, and other asinine know-it-alls whom had no place in magic. The obsidian haired girl looked past the words on her book to the ground in front of her. It was speckled with flower petals and stones. The slytherin picked up one of the stones and gave it a small toss into the garden, watching a few birds flutter off. Ivori watched them, blue eyes focusing on the movement of their wings as they flew away. Freedom. She sighed and tossed another stone, the idea of smacking another student not crossing her mind as she continued to try and stir the flowers and the birds.

Cassander was not one to spend much time in the garden but after browsing through the greenhouses (the ones he wasn't locked out of at least) he couldn't find the plant he needed to try and brew a potion his parents had taught him. So he thought of checking to see if it was hidden somewhere in the vast garden they had in the school grounds. He figured it would be a long shot, but maybe it was one of those things that was hidden in plain sight, a plant that wasn't dangerous until brewed in a potion was harmless in a garden. As the Slytherin walked through with his hands in his pockets, he looked around carefully so he wouldn't miss it as he searched.

He could hear sounds of disturbance up ahead, like birds squawking as they fled, but he knew he probably wasn't the only one here and as long as they kept to themselves and didn't bother him, Cassander didn't mind. Except the next thing he knew a small stone was hitting him right on the shin. "Ouch!" he said, annoyed, as he rubbed the area where he'd been hit. The pain was small but annoyingly sharp and persistent, and he looked around for the source, glaring at the girl he'd spotted who seemed to be the culprit. "Watch it, yeah?" he spat.

Ivori had just tossed another rocked when a voice released a noise of pain and displeasure. Was Ivori amused, of course she was. She had no intentions to hurt anyone, but she couldn't help but think it was a little comical that her harmless actions had harmed someone whom was not paying attention to their surroundings. After all, shouldn't the birds scattering have been a hint that something was going on.

The pale skinned slytherin raised an ebony brow. "Maybe don't be such a wuss, ye?" She asked, thick Scottish accent fairly evident. She recognized the boy from classes, but knew very little about him. "Besides, pretty sure aye was here first!" She insisted, her voice flat, no upward or downward inflection to give any emotion to her. She crossed her arms over her chest, not bothering to stand up and ruin how comfortable her spot was.
