Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.​

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.

Veronica followed Professor Styx up onto the stage and nodded at Isaiah. She knew him from classes but had never really spoken to him before. She knew he was a Ravenclaw, but didn't know how good at duelling he would be. She wasn't very good at this herself, but for her all of this was really just a bit of fun. "Ready when you are!"

Isaiah liked being a part of just about everything, he loved being able to be a part of the brotherhood, quidditch and duelling, to him there was so much fun and he had no idea what he really wanted to do when he left school. The teen didn't know his opponent that well but he gave her a warm expression, thinking it a little weird that she was going to let him go first essentially but he didn't care, he raised his wand to her and gave almost a small smile, "Furnunculus,"

Veronica squeaked when Isaiah threw Fernunculus at her. Was he trying to ruin her skin? Veronica quickly deflected the spell before glaring at him. "Rude!" If he ruined her skin she was going to be most displeased. "Petrificus Totalus!"

Isaiah grinned at her, at her words, "This isn't supposed to be nice," he said to her as he threw up the shield to protect himself from the duel ending spell, "Reducto," he shot back quickly, a strong spell emitted from his wand and shot at the girl

"Maybe not, but you don't have to try and - Ah! Protego!" It was clear that Isaiah was actually trying to explode her. What a horribly inconvenient end to an otherwise thrilling duel. "Confundo!"

Isaiah focused on her words as soon as the spell erupted from his wand, and focused on them too much meaning that he was hit with the confundus charm, he stared at the wand in his hand trying to figure out what he was supposed to do, "Lumos," he muttered thinking that was the right thing, and then looked up at the girl in front of him and concentrated harder, "Finite," he muttered and instantly his head felt lighter

Veronica could have danced when her spell hit and was about to take advantage of it when it was too late. Though he'd been hit by the confundus charm, it apparently wasn't very good as he'd been able to undo it fairly quickly. Sighing she thought about her next spell. "Stupefy!"

Isaiah's mind seemed to return to him just as the spell approached and he was just able to get the shield up in time. The boy felt pretty annoyed she'd managed to get the one up on him, and he sighed heavily, shooting back quickly, all new determination on his mind, "Incendio," it wasn't the best spell, but Isaiah liked winning and none of the spells were off limits.

Veronica watched as her spell was reflected and got ready to protect herself when he threw a flame charm at her. First he tries to ruin her skin, then he tries to blow her up and now he was trying to burn her alive?! Who was this boy, a firebug? "Protego! Alright, that's it!" She steeled herself and aimed at him. "Stupefy!"

Isaiah had been curious to see what might happen if the spell had hit her, and was a little disheartened when it didn't and she was able to protect herself, the girl seemed annoyed by his move and he just smirked at her, throwing up a shield to stop the spell from hitting him, "Diffindo," he barely hesitate in throwing the spell at her.

Veronica barely got herself composed again that by the time another spell was thrown at her, she didn't have time to cast a spell and so turned away from it instead, but was hit in the shoulder, giving her a sizeable cut that started to bleed. She hissed in pain and spun to look at Isaiah, anger now welling to the front of her mind. "Petrificus Totalus!"

Isaiah couldn't help the smile that reached his lips as the spell landed, causing blood to appear and he easily cast a shield against the spell she cast and spent no time holding back, "Reducto," he opted for this spell again, with a bleeding shoulder she definitely would have slower reflexes and Isaiah really wanted to win this.

Veronica's shoulder was very sore and she could barely move her left arm without aggravating the wound, but she was determined not to lose this. She moved her feet a little to give herself a better stance, but given her condition, she was moving a little slower than she could be and so she didn't quite bring her wand up in defence in time. Isaiah's curse struck her shield and knocked her back several inches almost to the edge of the stage. She steadied herself and stepped forward, her anger and annoyance higher than before. "Stupefy!"

Isaiah couldn't help but feel like victory was not that far away for him, that he was likely to win this if he could, and so after putting up an easy and lazy shield he just cast again, "Diffindo," he liked this spell a lot and it was clear that she was somewhat struggling, and he felt this put him in good standing

Veronica cursed as a second diffindor ripped into her thigh. She was bloody, bruised and beaten, but she wasn't giving up yet. "Hey, *******!" Tossing her wand to the side, Veronica launched at Isaiah and lined up a good punch ready to hit him square in the face. If she was going down, she was going down her way.

Kalif made sure to keep an eye on these two, and when things turned bloody, that was when he was forced to interfere. He walked onto the stage and held his arm out to stop the physical attack. He looked down at the GRyffindor and murmured, "In the rules of dueling, there are no physical blows. Get to the hospital wing before I send you to your Head of House." He then named Isaiah Jeffreys the winner by disqualification of Veronica Boneheart.
