Dropping things off

Cyndi nodded to indicate that she loved the idea. "Cool. I can't wait to meet her." She giggled as Riley coached Speedy along. Midnight saw Speedy too and walked over to the tortoise. Giving it a sniff, Midnight continued her search of the apartment.

Glad to be relaxing in her apartment again, Cyndi kicked her heels off and laid her head back on the sofa and sat silently. With most people, the silence would make Cyndi uncomfortable, but somehow it was ok with Riley. Even though they had only known each other for a short well, it didn't feel that way to her. "Anything else going on in your life, Riley?" she asked.

Riley let out a sigh.He watched as cyndi took her shoes off then relaxed. He smiled t himself. "No nothing much has really happend since i last saw you, i mean i met a dark presence and he diddnt like me much, but who cares." He smiled widely at the memory. "I showed him who was the boss." He turned to Cyndi. "What about you anything happend?"

Cyndi's eyebrows rose. "Dark presence?" she asked, confused. She didn't know what he meant. When he asked what she had done, Cyndi shrugged. “Well the Daily Prophet is looking to make one of my friend’s lives a living hell. They…well not they. It’s really just Cynthia Vandervoort" she said the name with disgust in her voice, "keeps writing these stupid articles about Kiera and James Potter and now she’s getting all of these howlers.”

She shook her head, remembering all of the howlers that Kiera had to deal with. Cyndi desperately wanted to share the secret of where she had been the past couple of days with her friend, but knew that it wasn’t her secret to share. Sighing, Cyndi stood up from the sofa. "I'm getting something to drink. Want anything?" she asked as she stepped toward the kitchen.

Riley chuckled slightly. "Yeah i dont really know what one is but i was in bleak street in the silver snake when this bloke came in and everything dissapeared and he was going on with himself and put me 6 feet under ground in a coffin tree times and then did some stuff to afew people i met there and a teacher who had a go at me for using dark magic to save my and the people i was with lives and then i escaped with one off the people and the other two i could get too." Riley listened to Cyndi say how a girl from the newspapers was making one of her friends lives a missery. "Well if you want i could go and find her and teacher her a lesson, i know a few spells that would make her look stupid and take her mind of your friend for a while." Riley smiled at the thought then answered her question. "Il have a butterbeer please." He grinned at her as he answered.

Cyndi listened to Riley's story as she reached the fridge. As the story continued, she froze in place, listening in disbelief. She had never been to Bleak Street before, though she had certainly heard many stories about the place. It didn't seem like the kind of place to go to alone, and Cyndi had never had anyone to go with or any reason to go. Whatever the dark presence was that Riley spoke about, it seemed downright frightening. Cyndi was brave, but something that could bury you and make things disappear sounded terrible.

She continued walking when he changed the subject to what he could do to Cynthia. Smiling, she shook her head and then realized that Riley probably couldn't see her. Reaching in the fridge for a butterbeer for the both of them, Cyndi replied, "Nah...I think they've got it under control. I hope they do anyway." She quickly returned to the sofa and held out his butterbeer as she took her place back on the sofa. "I'm really glad you're ok. That dark prescence doesn't sound any good" she said softly, hoping she never came across the thing.

Riley laughed then shook his head. "He wasnt that scary just some bloke who was too big for his boots because magic doesnt work on him. Im still here so he carnt be that good." Riley looked at cyndi, she was sat in a very awarkward look postion, he wundered how she could be comfertable like that. "How can you possible sit like that it looks so uncomfertable

Cyndi shook her head at Riley. "I've heard stories about something in the Borely mansion, but I didn't know there was anything on Bleak Street too. I guess it makes sense though. That place is kinda shady..." she said, still thinking that she never wanted to run into that thing herself.

Taking a sip of her butterbeer, Cyndi's eyebrow rose as Riley asked her how she was comfortable. She looked down at how she was sitting. She was facing Riley and her legs were bent and tucked under her body and she had one arm leaning on the top of the sofa. It was how she sat most of the time, so it was normal to her. With a shrug, Cyndi laughed. "I don't know...I sit like this all the time" she said, "I guess you wouldn't be able to though."

Riley smiled. "Yeah i have heard that there is one in Borely masion but i have never been so i dont know for sure. And i dont think that i will try and sit like that im happy with how im sat now." Riley looked at how he was sat andit was just a tipical manish posture, legs apart and he was slighlty lounged beck. He felt a little self contious now so he straited up a little and crossed on leg slightly over the other so his anckle was resting on his hamstring. Then for some unknown reason he looked at the sofa and giggle silently to himself and remember when the first time Ana came over and they had chips and watched top gun on the T.V. " Do you want anything to eat?"

Cyndi shrugged because she had never been to the mansion either. She was certainly curious about all of these odd presences, but not so curious that she had plans to go to either place.

As Riley shifted position and then asked her if she was hungry, Cyndi nodded. "Yea, now that you mention it" she said and then asked, "you cook?" She was finding out new things about Riley every time they spoke. If his cooking was any good, Cyndi was definitely going to be happy to have him as a roommate.

Riley grined widely. "Well you will have to be the judge of that cyndi. If you wake you tonight being sick you know that im not." Riley winked at her then walked into the kitchen and using wand less magic, got all the ingredeants out of the fridge to make a stir fry then got all the equipment ready. He stuck the pan on the hob then ted cutting all of the food up and threw it into the pan then got the noodle ready and then put them in with the pan. Riley got a few plates out and put them on the side then moved along at bit then jumped up to sit on the ****er while the food cooked. After a few momnets he got down and walked into the living room where cyndi was and got his drink. He gav her a little smile and took a swig and walked back into the kitchen a served the food on the plate then gave it to cyndi and smiled again. "There you go." Riley gave her a fork then dug his own one in and took a mouth full .

Cyndi laughed at what Riley said and watched as he quickly got out ingredients and began whipping something up. While he did that, Cyndi went into her room quickly and used her wand to put her clothing away. With her room looking neat again, Cyndi headed back into the living room and sat down just as Riley came out with their plates.

The food smelled amazing and her stomach grumbled in anticipation. Cyndi took a bite and then looked over at Riley. "This is awesome!" Cyndi exclaimed with her mouth full and then stopped to chew and swallow. "Sorry. That was gross, but this is so good." She took another bite and when she was done said, "You can cook...you're good looking...." She blushed, realizing how what she was saying might be taken by Riley. She hurriedly returned to eating, figuring that the more she ate the less time she would have to put her foot in her mouth and say the wrong thing.

Riley laughed then shrugged at her comments. He saw her blush in the corner of his eye then he smiled again. " Im not that good. Its just something that i do in my spare time is all. Do you want me to take your plate for you?" Riley looked at her empt plate and then back at her with a smile he stood back up. "Il get you another drink while im at it." He held his hand out for her plate.

Cyndi passed her plate to Riley. "Thanks again. That was so great" she said as she stood up too. If Riley kept this up, he was going to spoil Cyndi. Being a Gryffindor, she was very independent and used to doing things herself. It felt kind of good to have someone helping her.

When he offered to get her another drink, Cyndi nodded. "I'll just be right back. I want to send an owl to Val to see if he wants to come over one of these days. I'd like you to meet him." She had yet to introduce anyone to her new boyfriend and wanted some honest feedback from someone she trusted.

Riley smiled. "Ok then have fun with that." He walked into the kitchen and put he plates in the sink and got to butter beers out of the fridge then put Cyndis one on the side and opened his.He took a swig then leaned on the side with his elbows out in front of him so he could read a letter that as open on the side.
