Fleur was glad that classes hadn't started back up yet, after the holidays. She was sad that she had to return to the school so quickly after the new year came. She hadn't even gotten a chance to ride her Christmas pony around in the riding barn at home before leaving. To her it seemed a waste of a present. The horse wouldn't be able to get used to her when they were on opposite sides of the world. She wished her horse would be able to live at Hogwarts too. She even demanded it be done but her parents let her down once more. Even though it was probably raining and snowing hard back home, it was summer here and Fleur was enjoying it for sure. She was never one to get much sun, being from England. But she loved the warm feeling it gave her. Today she decided to take a mid-morning stroll through the gardens. The garden here was nothing compared to the one back home, where she had her own little wing of it she got to decorate herself and everything. But she did enjoy this garden too.

Fleur was looking for a quiet place, she'd be able to come and relax after classes this semester. The garden seemed like a good idea for days like today. Warm and sunny ones. She hoped that others wouldn't also have the same idea as her when classes started back up. Walking around, she'd stop and smell the flowers and smile; Fleur was happy in this place. She normally had a mean face on, she was polite, but she wasn't always nice. Finally she spotted what seemed to be the most perfect tree to sit under. Going over, the young first year sat down underneath a large tree, the branches were swaying in the breeze and she was glad it wasn't a willow tree. She'd heard stories of the whomping willow on the grounds that could seriously hurt you if you got too close.

The day was Boring, the weather was Boring, the grounds were boring, no one was doing anything of interest, no one was causing trouble, doing anything exciting, there was hardly anyone around to influence into getting in trouble for his own amusement, Cole had taken to a leisurely stroll around the grounds, which was becoming more and more dull each step he took, he kicked the grass like it had wrong him in some way 'Stupid Grass' he murmured 'stupid shoes' he added as he walked he wanted to do something fun, he wanted something interesting to happen or else he would have to do something interesting himself.

Moving to the Garden he saw the perfect opportunity to create some fun for himself, a girl close to his age seemed to be enjoying her afternoon in the gardens, which wasn't allowed according to Cole, he wondered how he could create some commotion, she looked too good to be a rule breaker so that was exactly what Cole wanted her to do, still out of her sight he quickly messed up his hair to appear disheveled and took a deep breath and ran over to the girl, he wanted to appear panicked and his acting performance would have to be the top of his game.

He faked like he was running past the girl when he suddenly stopped 'excuse me' he breathed heavily leaning over slightly as if he had been running for a while 'Have you seen a puppy?! my friend, it's, he's, well.' Cole acted flustered 'It's missing' he took a gulping breath and suddenly looked up stunned, dropping to his knee's he looked up at the girl 'Did you hear that?' his eyes moved slowly panning across the grounds to the forest 'Oh no' he pretended to hear a dog barking in the forest 'It's in the forest' he put one hand behind his neck and rubbed it 'I have to go find it' he looked at the girl again and then scrambeled to his feet 'Quick Hurry, Help Me!' he yelled at her

Fleur was enjoying her moment alone when she saw a boy coming up to her. He seemed to be worried by his facial expressions and she wondered why. Her eyebrows went towards the middle of her face as she listened to what the boy was saying. "Are we even allowed to have dogs at Hogwarts?" She questioned the boy. Being a first year she couldn't remember the rules about animals allowed, she knew cats were acceptable, but she wasn't sure about dogs. She was looking at the boy who was just kneeling before her. He seemed to hear the dog and being a girl with lots of animals at home she felt bad for the boy. Suddenly he wanted her to go into the forest with to find the dog. Looking up at the castle she knew she had to make a quick decision, remembering all the girl's talking about Valentine's day in the dorms she figured if she found this dog the boy might be her Valentine or something.

"Alright let's go, but we better be fast, it's forbidden to go into the forest you know," Fleur said to the boy. She didn't even know his name yet, but he was sort of nice looking and she figured it would be fun to do something against the rules anyways. She hadn't done anything really bad since showing up in the boy's first year dorms to see what the place looked like compared to the girl's rooms. She stood up from her position and brushed off the dirt and leaves that attached themselves to her skirt when she had sat down on the ground underneath the tree.

Choosing to Ignore the girl when she questioned if dogs were allowed to be kept on the grounds he kept up his panicked act until she followed him into the forest, Thankfully she mentioned that it was forbidden to be in the forest, which is exactly what he wanted, nothing made Cole happier than others being uncomfortable.
He glanced back over his shoulder and saw she had started to make her way to the forest after him, he turned back and smirked, it was too easy to manipulate people, even in his second year he had gotten extremely good at manipulating others.

Once past the boundary lines of the forest he kept up his pace to make sure they got good and lost far into the forest, he stopped at a clearing and turned around to see the Girl if she had kept up, he took a few steps back and stood on a stick making it snap 'Did you hear that?' he asked wondering how easily the girl would scare, he turned a few times to look around them, although difficult due to the thick coverage of leaves above them blocking out the sun 'I can't hear the puppy anymore' he said softly

Fleur wandered after the boy, she was more intrigued in the upcoming Valentine's Ball than the lost puppy now. She also was set on not scaring herself too much by looking around in the forest. She had heard about the magical beast that had been granted this land as their own, and apparently they didn't like visitors all that much. "You have very blue eyes," the young girl said unsure how to compliment a boy. Of course, their general physical characteristics were quite similar. Dark hair and bright blue eyes that stood out. She was always told she had the best combination of hair and eyes. She wasn't very sure, she thought red hair and her eyes would be cool to have as well.

Fleur stopped when she heard the snap, she had older siblings so she was more apt to see when someone was tricking her. She could have sworn the noise came from close to the boy, if not from him. Glancing around Fleur listened for the dog, she hadn't been sure their was a dog to begin with. Not after she thought she saw a grin on the boy's face. "No I can't either, but I haven't heard him at all. . . maybe he's gone back to castle," Fleur said taking in their surroundings. It was dark and mysterious in the woods and the young girl was really hoping the boy knew how to get back to the castle from this point. Knowing she was a Slytherin the girl was trying her best to not show that she had gotten a bit nervous being in the forest.

Looking around to making sure he wasn't at any risk of getting attacked by any of the various creatures that lurk in the darkness he tried to figure out if the girls was scared or catching on to his brilliant acting, she commented on his eyes and he paused for a moment, a compliment? really? had he ever received a compliment in his life? probably not. was it even a compliment? possibly? He wasn't really sure how to respond to the girl he ended up deciding to go with a generic 'Oh, You too, well not AS blue as mine' pointing out the obvious.

The Girl seemed to be catching on, he could tell by the way she looked over at his direction when he snapped the stick, he looked to the side pretending not to notice the direction of where the noise came from She suggested he went back to the castle 'That's awfully positive' he mocked. He moved closer to the girl pretending to look around and listen, for a moment in the distance he thought he actually saw something move 'There!' he shouted putting his arm around her and turning her in the direction of what he saw or what he thought he saw and pointing into the distance 'Did you see that?' he asked. Cole wasn't sure if he did actually see something the woods play tricks on you and he didn't want to stick around if his life was at risk, his parents would kill him if he died, at least he knew he didn't have to be fast, just faster than her.

Fleur had had her fun walking through the trees but she felt more and more uneasy about their current surroundings as time went on. She tried her best to focus on what else she might be able to say to compliment the boy. She may only be eleven but she was sure she didn't want to show up at the dance on her own. And her prospects were between this boy and Rory and going with an older guy might make her seem a bit cooler. "Well, maybe your dog wanted to find you a date to the Valentine's Day dance?" She ended her statement as more of a question and shrugged her shoulders at the thought.

Fleur batted her eyelashes as the boy came closer to her. But she paused her attempts at flirting when he turned her around, letting out a shriek as he did. But she didn't see anything but darkness through the trees. "Maybe we should give up and go back to the castle. I really think your dog might have gone there. . ." Fleur was getting a bit scared but trying her best not to show it at the moment. She started going back the way they came wondering if the boy would go as well.

Satisfied that nothing was about to jump out of the woods and get him he let go of the girl, he was worried he would have to fling her to the ground to distract what ever was coming to make his escape, which would be a shame, she was fun to torment. The girl suggested that the dog may have found him a date for the Valentines day dance and he tried hard not to roll his eyes 'I think then it would have tried to pair me up with one of those dog professors' he commented, not sure if the girl knew that a few of the Professors had Canine Animagus forms. 'Besides, I don't think the Dog is smart enough to find someone for me, he got himself lost in the forest after all' he smirked lapsing into his cocky attitude which he quickly snapped out of.

The girl batted her eyelashes at him and he looked down at her 'Do you have something in your eye?' he asked pulling out a monogrammed handkerchief from his pocket he handed it to the girl. The girl seemed to be good and scared now, he felt slightly bad not knowing the Girls name and tormenting her like this, but only slightly, kind of like how you'd feel if you stole the last dessert but it tastes good so you don't really mind that much. 'If we give up now it could be lost in here forever and then it might die' he urged Cole took a few steps away from the girl and looked around, walking towards a thick collection of trees he stopped and looked around them, stepping over the roots which twisted all of the ground trying not to trip. He didn't want her to leave just yet, he was having so much fun she seemed so uncomfortable it was fantastic to him. The girl suggested again leaving and he looked over his shoulder 'Are you coming?' he asked trying to see if he could tempt her to turn around since she had already made her way out.
