Closed Dating Makes This Fun

Valeria liked being on Charlie's arm. It was nice to be able to have someone to date. Having someone to spend the time with someone at them. She always like having a date to these things, but having her boyfriend at them that was cool. She made sure this time that she was meeting him at the entrance hall, rather than the dorm. Val didn't want him to trek all the way up when she could just come down to the great hall without too much bother. Val had her best dress on and had done her make up impressive and put her hair up nicely. This was going to be good. Valentines day with an actual boyfriend. ​

Charlie was oddly looking forward to the dance. He'd asked Valeria out, despite knowing her wild spirit. He admired that about her. She was just so... free, it seemed. He was a few minutes late, having lost his tie, and eventually he just gave up the search altogether and had hurried down to the ball, jogging up to Valeria. "Hey, you," He greeted, kissing her cheek. "You look beautiful tonight." He told her with a small smile, pulling out her favorite flower and offering it to her with an almost bashful smile.

Valeria wasn't waiting too long before Charlie joined her. She smiled at him, leaning into his kiss and giving a little twirl for him to see the whole outfit. ”Thank you,” she replied and then took the flower, ”This is so sweet Charlie,” she placed the flower behind her ear so that it would be out of the way. ”Happy Valentines Day,” she told him, putting her hands on his cheeks and pulling him down for a proper kiss. ​

Charlie smiled, leaning down and returning her kiss. "Happy valentines day," He returned easily, placing his hand on her hip as he took a small step back. "Would you like to dance?" He asked, offering out his arm and giving her a warm smile. This was nice.

Valeria leaned into his hand and took his arm. "I would love to dance," she replied leading them out towards the dance floor, being sure to lean into him as they walked. She moved to stand in front of him and then placed her arms on his shoulders. Beginning to dance with him.

Charlie chuckled, following after her easily. "This is nice," He murmured, placing his hands on her waist and swaying her gently to the music. He couldn't help but smile softly at her, enjoying the closeness. Part of him knew this was only temporary- Valeria was a free spirit, and he couldn't see her settling for long, but it was nice to have her attention. He chose to just focus on that, leaning his forehead against hers and shutting his eyes.

Valeria nodded in agreement as they swayed gently to the music. It was nice, this was nice. She leaned into him and let him lean his forehead against hers. She watched him a moment, watched as his eyes closed and they swayed. This was different than with any other boy. He was different. She liked it a lot. She was glad they had spoken, and that they'd gone to the yuleball together. Valeria didn't say anything, just closed her own eyes and letting herself just dance lightly to the music and enjoying just being with him. ​
