Killian would be the first one to admit he was a bit rusty at dating. It had been years since he'd been on a proper date. But he was trying to court Telia properly. So, he'd invited her over for a romantic dinner. With a view of the ocean from the balcony, and not long before the sunset, he went ahead and pulled out an expensive bottle of wine, a nice seafood dinner ready and waiting for them on the balcony. He had dozens of roses everywhere, lit candles, and he was dressed smartly in a tux. He was just waiting now, pacing a bit nervously. She would like this, right? He stopped, rearranging some roses in an effort to make them look nicer.

Teila wasn't sure what to expect when Killian told her that they were going on a date together. She hadn't gone on a proper date in quite some time so there were a lot of different scenarios going on in her head. Would it just be a normal dinner or was she supposed to dress up really nice? She decided to go with the small red dress and heels, figuring it would be nice, but not too nice just in case she was overthinking it. The woman slowly walked to the front door of his place, admittedly a little nervous as she shakily knocked on the door. She hoped she wasn't too early.

Killian felt his heart leap into his throat when he heard the knock on the door. Grabbing a red rose, he hurried to open it, smiling shyly. "Hey, you," He greeted, offering the rose to her before leaning down to try and kiss her cheek. "You look beautiful," He told her, his voice tender. He stepped back, revealing the scene he'd set up. "Please, come in," He gave her a shy smile, holding the door open with one hand while tugging a little on his collar with the other.

Teila instantly felt the butterflies as soon as Killian opened the door to reveal himself. At his compliment, she felt her cheeks turn hot, and she was glad she had chosen the darker shade of blush. Why did he always make her feel like a teenager? As he stepped aside to reveal what he had set up for them, Teila couldn't help the smile on her face. No one had ever done something even close to this for her before. "How long did it take you to do all of this?" she asked, glancing around at all of the candles. She would be standing there forever if she decided to count them all. "Thank you Killian." She spoke softly, scared that if she thought about it any longer she just might break down in front of him. "So, what's on the menu?" If there was something Killian should know about Teila, it was that she was always excited for the food, so she hoped she was in for a treat.

Killian chuckled, and lead Teila out to the balcony. The sun was just starting to set, candles lit everywhere and a few roses in a silver vase in the middle of the table. "Only the best seafood you've ever had," He teased gently, hand hovering over the small of her back but not quite touching her. "Lobster, snow crabs, shrimps, prawns, oysters, mussels, cavier, scallops, octopus," He chuckled, biting his lip. "I wanted to show you my world... the best seafood, the oceanview over dinner." He smiled shyly. "I hired a personal chef for the meal, so it's bound to be the best," He promised. He could cook, but he didn't want to give her anything but the best.

As Killian began going through the menu, Teila's heart warmed even more. She was sure Killian had a lot of seafood whilst he was out on his adventures, and she felt honoured to be enjoying a meal with him that he must have had all too often. It was definitely a taste of Killian's life, and Teila couldn't wait to dig in. As he mentioned he hired a personal chef, she gasped a little. "You shouldn't have done that!" she exclaimed, a little embarrassed that he was spending all this money on her. She didn't want to get caught up in it however, and just sighed a little before smiling at him. "You know you're amazing, Killian?" she said softly. "Truly, no one has ever put in as much effort as you. You're one in a million."

Killian smiled, moving over to pull out her seat for her. "Don't be silly," He murmured, moving over to sit across from her, smiling as the evening breeze ruffled the flowers he'd set along the balcony, raising a sweet floral scent around them. "You're an amazing, beautiful woman." He countered, offering out his hand for her. The food was set before them, the pleasant smell of dinner lingering in the air. "Anything less than the best would simply be criminal," He gave her a playful wink.
