Open Dashing Delivery

((Red rose for Ren Lockwood, open after Jess))

Alice had asked Ava for help with the next delivery. She had thought Ren Lockwood was probably related to her, and had been glad to be right. She found Ava's cousin outside, rushing over to him and tapping him on the shoulder. "Hi, Ren, right?"

Ren had been in the courtyard for a bit now, working on a new drawing for Sam. He'd been thinking about her a lot lately. He was startled when someone tapped him on the shoulder. He looked up, surprised to see his cousins other best friend. "Hello, Alice isn't it? Avie talks about you." He shut his notebook. "Is everything okay?"

Alice smiled. "Yeah, you're Ava's cousin right?" Ava's family was a little hard to keep track of, though Alice knew she had no real room to talk on that front. She noticed the boy had been drawing, but hadn't been able to see what he had been drawing. "Everything is great, because I have a beautiful red rose for you!" She took it out of her basket and held it out to him.

Ren's eyes lit up. "Thanks, Alice!" He beamed, taking the rose from her. It just had to be from Sam! Right?

The excited expression on Ren's face made Alice smile. This was why she liked doing this so much. "Here you go!" She told the boy, handing him the red rose with a grin.

Ren eagerly took the note, his face falling as he saw who it was from. Well, that was sweet of Ava, he supposed. He bit his lip and gave Alice a smile. "Thanks, it's from Ava." He sighed, setting the rose aside with less enthusiasm now. "Alice? Do you have a minute?"

Alice saw the boy's expression change, and wondered if the rose had been disappointing. She smiled when he said it was from Ava. "Oh,that's nice." She said, wondering if he had been hoping it was from someone else. "Of course, what's up?"
