Valentines Day wasn't anything special to Daisy, but the thing that made it special at Hogwarts was the rose deliveries. She tried to sign up to delivery every year; she got to meet new people, and give them a bit of happiness.
Daisy's next delivery was just as easy as the first. Again, she didn't know who this person was, but she knew that, again, they were a Slytherin. After finding Rory, Daisy decided that using her most trusty person-finder was the best way to go. "This one is for DARCY! Darcy Pratt, are you here?!" Daisy yelled out again.

Darcy was a rose deliverer herself, but she never knew why people resorted to yelling random names out in corridors and rooms when there were other ways to find someone. She winced when she heard her name being called and sighed as she half raised her hand. "Yes, that's me," she said, a little annoyed at the disturbance. She hated all the attention that yelling had gotten her and she didn't want people knowing she got a rose because it made them nosy.

"Yes, super easy find!" Daisy exclaimed, congratulating herself. She made her way over to the older Slytherin girl, completely oblivious to any annoyance that may have been directed at her. She was just excited to be handing out the roses! "I love your name." Daisy commented, as she pulled out the yellow rose, handing it over to Darcy.

Darcy tried not to scold this girl like she had scolded the other first year boy who had yelled out her name, if only because she was eager to receive a rose. The girl approached her and complimented her on her name and Darcy chuckled. "Thank you, I rather like it too," she smiled appreciatively. She took the rose from her, noting that it was yellow and she wondered who it was from. She had no idea who could have sent it to her but she hoped it was from Zara so they could be friends again.

Daisy grinned at the girl's reply. "Do you know what it means?" Daisy enquired. It was an uncommon name, but Daisy absolutely loved it, especially since it matched so closely to her name. Daisy watched as the girl took her rose, before realising she hadn't given the note with it. "Oops! Here, this too." Daisy said, looking around in her basket for the note, before handing it over.

D,

Hope we can be friends again.

Darcy tilted her head as she thought about the meaning of her name. "I think it means 'dark' or 'darkness' of some sort," she said with a small shrug. She wasn't sure if it suited her or not, but she liked her name regardless. She took the card the girl handed her and opened it to read it. A huge smile spread across Darcy's face and she felt a sort of weight lift off her shoulders. This was possibly the best rose she had received out of all of them - and she had received some really great ones this year. Zara wanted to be her friend again! That was all she wanted, and it seemed like the dark-haired girl wanted that too. "Thank you," she said to the girl, smiling.
