After an eventful two years, Thanatos Van Alstyne finally found himself back on the market, though with very little custody of his kids. Asking Thanatos ten years ago if he would have considered himself married, with twins and divorced within a span of five years, he would have glared at the person and said they were ridiculous. Now, he was exactly that. He was divorced, with a son and a daughter that were lucky enough to keep his last name, which was not his original to begin with. Thanatos had been through three different names, all of which to escape his past which always seemed to rear its ugly head. Avoiding family members proved to be difficult, even when he relocated to New Zealand. They should have stayed in Britain and America, where they were originally at the former. Thanatos hoped that, as he frequented the bar that he used to be a regular at, he would not run into one again. Thanatos did not want to visit his normal spot, but he was being dragged out by none other than Benjamen Zhefarovich. Figures he would be forced from his peaceful shack in the deep woods to go out.

As Thanatos sat down at the bar, he looked to his left and right after he heard a loud crack, and the blonde fiend was gone. Thanatos growled under his breath, before the bartender retrieved him a drink. Thanatos shook his head and took the shot within his long, skinny finger tips. Colorful words that would make a sailor blush rushed through his mind like a knight bus. Thanatos down the shot, keeping his nose and light purple eyes turned to the counter. The less he looked around, the better. By the time he would get tipsy, that would be when he would head home. Little did he know, Benjamen was much more sly than Thanatos would have gathered, leading Thanatos to a place where his figure would cross paths with another female.

Dorothy was not a picky person. She was a very picky person and it was one of the reasons, she told herself, that she was still single. She'd had flings and the like, as many had and she lived with her brother instead of with the rest of her family in the manor, which let her work her own hours. She was a freelance journalist, though she mostly wrote gossip column pieces, she had been known to do some tell all extravaganzas in her time. One thing she'd never expected however was an invitation to some dive. Not that she was complaining, she'd need a good night for a while now and to be honest, she wasn't sure if this was it or not, but maybe it would lead to a great night. She wasn't afraid of a challenge though, in fact she lived for them. She knew basically nothing about the guy she was going to meet, except some choice... comments that were made to her from the guy that had sent her here. Still, they probably weren't true... very doubtful. She rolled her eyes at her brother as he commented at her choice of attire, a tight black dress and red stilettos. She may not have been a fan of muggles, but they had a wickedly delicious dress sense.

She was a little late when she headed into the bar. Not her usual haunt, but it wasn't abhorrent which was good. She was nearly thirty after all, she couldn't be complaining about the state and sophistication of such a place. She felt a little overdressed for it, but she didn't care. She knew she looked good, so did everyone looking at her. Luckily it didn't take her long to figure out who she was here for, but from the looks of him he wasn't comfortable in these places and didn't get out much. Approaching him head on was out of the question and either way, she'd have a great story for her column in the morning if this didn't work out, or even if it did. She moved through the small crowd and eventually made it to a seat beside him, placing her wand on the bench in front of her and leaning down to fix the strap on her shoe. Would he say anything? She wasn't sure, but she was going to find out if it killed her.

Thanatos could not help his eyes as they wandered to the female next to him. Especially when she leaned down. Thanatos rolled his eyes as he continued his drink, working on trying not to stare. Though it was hard, which he noticed that the bartender seemed to have absolutely no shame. Was this.. No, it had to his friend’s little trick. Trying to get him some action. Thanatos did not really care for such a thing, unless it was to pass the time. Benjamen was something else. Thanatos snapped his fingers at the bartender to get his attention, and for a refill. Thanatos finally received it, and he gulped it down without a moment to breathe. He rested the glass down, before he spoke to the female, not looking at her with his unusual eye color, "Did a tall man by the name of Benjamen Zhefarovich tell you to come here to meet with me?" Thanatos hated the thought of someone doing something like that for him. It was not like he needed favors. He had 3 kids, which were more than enough for him. But Benjamen seemed to think differently from Thanatos and it was frustrating. So, the sooner he learned about the woman’s purpose, the better, since out of all places, she sat next to him.

Though Dorothy couldn't see anything, she knew there were eyes on her. She wasn't sure who eyes, but it was enough for her that someone was appreciating her beauty. She sat back up, straightening her back a little as she looked at the man. She didn't know much about him, if anything at all, but that mattered very little to her. She went most of her life never really knowing the people she interacted with. She waved her hand for a drink and was immediately provided with one. She smiled her thanks before turning back to her target as he spoke. His question was a curious one and she wasn't exactly prepared for it. Though perhaps he was more aware of things than this Benjamin person had given him credit for. Instead of lying, which she sensed would not help matters, she crossed her legs and nodded, taking a quick sip of her drink. "He didn't tell me he was Benjamin Zhefarovich, but I will assume we are thinking of the same person." Dorothy had never had much cause to mix with that family, they didn't often run in the same circles so she'd often heard of them from Derrick rather than the source. "And he didn't tell me, he asked," she would not be pushed around by anyone, no matter how tall, "I was happy to come."
