Susie wasn't sure what Ruby looked like, but she did know her name. At least, she assumed it was the same Ruby her brother talked about sometimes. Jasper's little sister. She wondered, with a bit of a thrill, whether the red rose she was about to deliver was one of Freddie's. Oh, she was going to tease him so bad if he had a crush - once she'd found her, of course. After a bit of searching, someone pointed her down the fifth floor corridor. There was only one girl there small enough to be one of Freddie's friends. Susie tapped her on the shoulder. "Are you Miss Beese?" she asked, unable to contain her grin. She recognised the girl now from the Hufflepuff common room. "I have something here for a Miss Beese."
@Ruby Beese

Ruby might have sent a rose or two but hadn't considered the possibility of getting any back. She jolted up when someone called out Miss Beese. It sounded weird, but it must be her. "Hi, do you mean Ruby?" She checked, "Although the only other Beese around here is my brother, and he's a Mister Beese."

Susie hadn't considered there might be any other Miss Beeses in the castle. "Right!" she said, trying not to let the nervousness behind her smile show. "So that's you, huh? This is yours, then. I can't tell you who it's from - I mean, because I don't know who it's from - but it's red, so, I guess someone li-ikes you." She handed it over. Ruby probably didn't want Susie to stand there and watch, but she really, really wanted to know what it said. Was it a compliment? A cute poem, maybe? A tender confession of love?

Yoooooo b****es! No idea what this is for but hey free owl service! We still on for tonight?

Ruby took the rose and read the note and was immediately confused. Firstly because it had no name so she didn't know who it was from, and secondly because one of the words had stars where letters should be, "I know you don't know who it's from because you literally just said that. But what does this word mean?" She asked, there was no way she was going to be able to pronounce it so she showed her the note and pointed at the word b****es.

Susie leaned in to look at the note. "Oooh," she said, dragging the vowels out as long as she could. Think, think, think. "I think it's... Beeeese. They weren't sure how to spell your name, right? So they put stars. Look, they even got the e and the s the wrong way around." Whew. That sounded like it could be true. It wasn't from Freddie, anyway - the spelling was way too good. "Someone thinks you've got plans with them tonight. You don't know who it is?"

Ruby looked back at the note and cocked her head like a confused little puppy. "I suppose... that does make sense." She hummed, "I haven't got a scooby who it's from but I don’t even feel bad if they can’t spell Beese or sign their own name."
