Chase was riding around Obsidian on his bike not really aiming to get to any particular destination, he was just riding around in Boredom. He rode over the sand on the Harbour, when a rock caught the wheel and he came flying off over the handle bars. Luckily Chase was riding over sand, so the fall didn't hurt to much. Although he was a little embarrassed to look up and find some girls watching him. He had landed on his front so he smiled at the girls cheekily, then rolled over and led on his back across the sand. "I'm fine...juuusssst fine." He said loudly, hoping the group of girls heard him, as he placed his hands behind his head.

Layla was bored, which seemed to be her almost permanent state since her brother had moved away with her mother, leaving her alone with daddy oh so much fun she thought sarcastically.

She was just wandering around without a real destination in mind, when she saw a boy fly over the handle bars of his bike, she smiled and giggled to herself a little when he rolled over to his back, she figured that he was a little younger than her, but he seemed to be in good humour so she decided to go and help him up.

She stood by his side and smiled at him in his relaxed position on the sand, "enjoy the flight?" she asked with a smile "you want a hand up or are you planning to stay there all day?" she smiled and offered her hand to help him up.

Chase looked up as he heard a female voice talking to him. He smiled at the girl. "Well the flight wasn't so good..." He joked, with a little laugh behind his voice. "And you helping me up depends on one thing...are you going to join me down here, or do I have to get up?" He asked cheekily, before pausing for a few seconds. He then took the girls hand and pulled himself to his feet. "I figured I should stand up to greet the ladies..." He said, smiling cheekily at the girl.

Chase wiped some of the sand off of him, that he had been smothered in when he fell off his bike. He shook his head, so that his hair went back to it's normal place. Chase liked to think he was looking decent, especially after what had just happened, he needed to redeem himself infront of this girl he had just met. "Ah now that's sorted I think you oughta know that I'm Chase...Chase Grant...and who would you be?" He asked, holding his hand out to the girl.

She laughed "I thought it looked quite good, you definitely pulled off the cool landing look though" she laughed, she put her finger on her mouth pretending to think hard about the question "Well I've only just met you so I'm not going to be getting down in the sand with you just yet" she said cheekily, and helped him up. She giggled "a true gentleman" she joked, "I'm Layla" she smiled and shook his hand.

She watched him wipe most of the sand off of himself, "Missed a spot" she said reaching out to brush his shoulder for him, she smiled "so before you took to planting yourself in the sand, where you off to anywhere in particular, or do I get the pleasure of your company for a while" she smiled, there was no harm in being a little flirty, the boy seemed nice enough, and he definitely looked nice enough.

Chase smiled, this girl seemed rather nice. "The cool landing look eh?...I usually do cool pretty well..." He said, acting overly cool, as he listened to the girl speak. "Layla...I'll remember that...it's good to meet you..." Chase said, holding the hand shake for a little longer than he needed to, before gently letting go, dropping his hand back down to his side.

Chase wasn't going to let himself be bothered by the fact that a girl that he had just met was touching his shoulder. She was doing him a favour...and besides...Chase thought she was pretty. "Well I wasn't planning on going anywhere, so I guess that means you get the wonderful pleasure of........well me....yeah...as you said..." Chase smiled as he took a very small step forward, edging a bit closer to Layla. "And I'm hoping that means I get a nice view for a while...I mean...being with you n all..." Chase laughed a little, a little harmless flirting would do them both some good. Chase reached his hands up towards his head, as he perfected his hair. His hair was the one part of him that he was obsessed with...it always had to look good....even more so around a girl.

Chase then picked up his bike, then got onto it, and sat down. "So, where are we going to end this day off together then?" He asked Layla, with a widening smile.

Layla smiled "right that's the last compliment you get, I swear I can see your head growing underneath all that perfect hair of yours" she joked, she noticed that he held her hand a little longer than was necessary, once her hand had been released she set at the almost impossible task of taming her hair, usually she wouldn't care all that much and just let the dark-mess that she called hair do it's own thing, but she kind of liked Chase and his hair just looked so right it made her feel like she had to at least try.

Layla also took a small step forwards at the same time as Chase, and blushed a little when he complimented her, "Well I don't know about a nice view, but yeah, I'll stick around" she said still trying to de tangle a knot in her hair with one of her hands.

Her smile widened as his did, "I don't know, why don't you surprise me" she said, mainly to see what he would come up with, and also the fact that she had only been in the area a few weeks, so didn't really have a clue where she was, only that it was away from her father.

Chase smiled when Layla stepped forward at the same time as he did. "Yeah, most definatly a nice view...and I'll be glad to accompany you..." Chase said, as he began to cycle slowly away, encouraging Layla to come with him. "You can hop on the back if you want...I don't mind." He suggested, giggling a little.

Chase smiled widely once again. "Come on then...how about we go to a nice cafe I know of or something?" He suggested again, checking to see if that sounded alright with Layla. "Come on, get on the back...and hold on tight..." He laughed slightly, giving his hair once last cheeky flick. He was beginning to quite like Layla.

Her cheeks were still a little blushed, she wasn't really used to getting positive attention from boys, but that was mainly because all the boys back home just seemed to have something against her entire family, even after all the years of trying she was yet to work out why this actually was.

Layla looked from the bike to Chase, "You promise that we wont be going for another fly?" she giggled a little, and took a few steps towards him and the bike, "the Cafe sounds good, as long as you promise to get me there in one piece"

She waited for him to reply and got on the bike behind him, choosing to hold on to his waist rather than the seat.

Chase smiled at Layla's words. "Hey, I rarely go for flies like that, it's just that stupid rock got in my way." Chase laughed a little and couldn't help but secretly smile to himself when Layla chose to hold his waist rather than the seat. He looked back at her and smiled sweetly..."You ready?" He said, as he pushed off on his bike, and raced his way over to the cafe.

When they reached the cafe together Chase once again smiled to himself. He put his hands over Layla's hands, then held them there for a few seconds, before sliding her hands back so he could get off of the bike. He looked back at Layla again. "I told you I'd get you here in one piece." He joked, as he had a little giggle. Chase then got off of the bike and chained it up to the bar he had stopped next to before walking over to the cafe door and opening it.

Chase smiled as he held the door for Layla. "Ladies First." He said, leaving just enough room for Layla to walk through, hoping she'd have to swipe past him. He liked to be a little cheeky from time to time.

"Yes, those pesky rocks always jumping out in front of people on bikes without warning, I mean there was no way you could of seen it" she said in a cheeky tone, resisting the childish urge to poke out her tongue.

Layla smiled back at him before he started to ride off somewhere that she had never been before, she was now very happy that she had decided against wearing the skirt that she had picked out the night before, although she wished that she was wearing something a little more flattering than the hoodie and jeans she had pulled on once she could rip herself from her bed.

In the time it took them to get to the cafe she decided that she liked being close to Chase very much, and also he smelt quite nice too..she looked down at her body and pretended to take a quick inventory "yep, I think all of me is here, I warn you though, I haven't got a clue where we are, so you best not leave me", she smiled when he put his hands over hers, she leaned her for-head against his back a little, she wasn't sure why it just felt like the right thing to do.

she jumped off the bike and watched him chain it up, she walked with him to the door of the cafe, she was a little shocked when he opened and held the door for her "well thank-you kind sir" she said in a very put on posh voice before giggling and walked through the door being sure to just touch him with the side of her body.

Chase laughed as Layla checked for herself that she was still all in one piece. He then followed her into the cafe and smiled to himself because Layla had done what he had wanted and had swiped past him as he held the door. Chase's smile widened as she thanked him for holding the door. "Hey, I'll do anything for a pretty girl." He giggled, slightly.

Chase chose a table in the corner of the cafe, and took a seat, and tapped the one next to him, in attempt to encourage Layla to sit there. "So then what can I get you? I hear they do awesome milkshakes..." Chase paused for thought. "But I bet mine are better." He laughed at his joke.

Layla smiled and blushed a little more when Chase called her pretty again, she walked over to the table and looked at the seats, not really sure where he wanted her to sit, she grinned when he tapped the seat next to him.

She sat in the seat next to Chase and looked around, it was fairly busy with people of all ages, "Anything Is good, milkshake sounds great, Chocolate if they have it?, oh and as for yours being better, I'd like to judge that one day" she asked and laughed with him at his joke, she loved chocolate, and if she was the judge the she would have to see him again "you really are sweet you know, but I can pay for myself if you want?" she liked the fact that he had offered but didn't want to seem like she was taking advantage of it.

Chase was glad and smiled to himself when he noticed that Layla had taken up the offer of sitting next to him. "Chocolate Milkshakes sound good to me...and you'll definatly have to judge my milkshakes one day..." Chase laughed, as he wondered if she was suggesting that they should meet up again...

Chase smiled as she called him sweet. "Why thanks...that's a first..." Chase joked, but he then frowned a little as she offered to pay for herself, he always paid for the girls, it was just the way Chase was. But his smile soon returned, and it was cheeky one at that. "Hey, don't worry about it, I'll pay for the both of us." He joked as he called over a nearby waiter then ordered 2 Chocolate Milkshakes. He then turned back to Layla. "Sorted." He said with a little nod, and a widenin
g smile.

Layla thanked the waiter when he brought the milkshakes to the table, she grinned and took a small sip careful to not get chocolate milk all around her mouth, it was really sweet, she smiled, even at her age her father seemed to think that giving her sugar was a bad idea, so for as long as she could remember she would sneak sweet treats when she was out of the house, and today it seemed that she was lucky enough to enjoy both a sweet milkshake and an even sweeter boy.

She took another sip from the tall glass, this time she ended up with a chocolate moustache, she smiled, he seemed so sincere that she found it hard to believe that he wasn't like this with everyone, wiping most of the chocolate of her lip, "you seem surprised that I think you are sweet, are you not usually this nice to people?" she was quite curious as to why he was being this sweet to her if her wasn't normally.

She looked around taking in the area, It was quite nice, she would probably try to find it again, perhaps even with chase if she had any luck.

Chase smiled as he listened to Layla speak. He liked the sound of her voice...there was something about her that made him feel calm...and made him be himself...and not the cocky and annoying Chase that he would usually be.

He sipped his milkshake before replying to Layla. "Well...I try to be nice...but most people don't like my idea of 'nice'...but I'm glad that you seem to be taking kindly to it..." Chase was beginning to feel awkward talking about himself so much, so decided to change the subject. "Anyway, enough about boring old me...tell me about you...I mean...if you're going to be judging my milkshakes...I have to know about the person judging them..." Chase joked, then laughed a little.

He was beginning to come to terms with the idea that he'd most probably be seeing Layla again. And it was an idea that Chase quite liked the thought of.

((I'm is very very sorry about how long this has taken buddy))

Layla noticed Chase smile at her, it seemed to make her feel safer for some reason, "You have a really nice smile you know" she said absently, resisting the urge to reach out and touch his face as she said it, he made her feel very comfortable with Chase and she hoped that he was having a nice time too, she listened carefully to what he had to say.

"I can't really understand why someone wouldn't think you nice, you’ve been nothing but the perfect gentleman to me today, and those are a dying breed indeed" she smiled, enjoying just being out with Chase, much better than being stuck at home with her stupid dad she thought to herself.

Laylas smile faded slightly, talking about herself had never been one of her favorite habits, "well how about you have a guess" she giggled a little, “tell me what you think me and my life is like and I will tell you if your right or not” she waited curious to see what he thought that she is like.

(Haha. That's okay buddy, you are forgiven. :p)

Chase smiled as she complimented him. "Aww thanks, and I'm glad you've been enjoying my company." He said, before finishing off the rest of his milkshake. "Ah that was delicious..." He said before listening to Layla again.

"Well what would I know about you...I'm guessing there's a plus one...hiding around the corner...I mean...there must be a boy? Am I at least right about that, if nothing else I say today?" He asked, with a little laugh. Chase was kinda hoping that she was single, but there was no harm in asking. "And I'm also guessing...that you like milkshakes...and you like it when you meet boys who have just fallen off of their bike..." Chase said as he smiled. He would always remember that particular fall from his bike. If he hadn't fallen, he might not have met Layla...

Chase looked at Layla, widening his smile as he did so. "So then...are my guesses correct?" He asked, laughing a little.

Layla smiled, still drinkning her milkshake. She chuckled, "the only male that I am likely to have around the corner is my dad and for your sake and mine you best hope that he is no where near here" she sighed it would be nice to have a boyfriend here, it would make her feel like at least one person in the world wanted her.
"so thats one down, your not doing so good so far are you?" she teased, "as for milkshakes, i'll have to give you that one but you only get one point for stating the obvious" she looked down at her half empty glass, it would be just as ovious if he had told her that she is female.

She smiled sweetly, "I don't tend to make a habit of riding around with every boy i see fall of his bike, but I am certainly thinking of doing so if I get to meet boys like you, although..... I could always just ride around with you some more, that would be nice"

She blushed a little, she knew that she like Chase amd would like to meet up with him again, she just hoped that he felt the same way, "ok, My turn " she said with a small smile "I reckon you are a boy, who can't stay on his bike who likes milkshakes, and claims to be able to make one" she teased playing the same point out the obvious game that he had, "I also think that we are going to be inturrupted by your girl wondering why your with me insead of her" she sighed, she was expecting Chase to be taken from the moment they met, the good ones are always taken she thought to herself.

Chase laughed at Layla. "Well I'd love to meet your dad...but preferably not right now..." Chase joked. "I mean, I want now to be spent drinking milkshakes with you..." He joked, shuffling his chair a little closer to Layla. "But are you sure there's no attractive boy hiding behind the door or something? I mean...I'm not the only boy who has fallen off of his bike..." Chase laughed. "And if I'm honest...I quite like the idea of having you on the back of my bike more often..." Chase said, cheekily winking at Layla.

He listened to Layla as she tried to make a few guesses about him. "Well Yes...I am a boy...well done...but I can stay on my bike...I already told you...that rock got in the way..." Chase smiled at Layla, as he re-lived the moment when he met Layla after falling off of his bike. "And I can make milkshakes...if you hang around you'll be worth proving it to." Chase looked around suddenly when Layla mentioned about him having a girl. Of course, he did have a girl friend...but they were only just starting out...so he wasn't going to admit that to Layla...not just yet anyway..."Where, where's that girl of mine..." Chase joked, before looking back round at Layla. "I'm joking...nah...I'm free and mingling..." He said, pausing for a second, he had not quite finished his sentence yet. "But hopefully not for much longer..." He said, giving Layla a nudge with his arm, hoping she'd get the point.

(Haha, the cheeky so n so. :p )

Layla giggled, "trust me, you don't want to meet my dad at any point" It wasn't that her dad was mean, in fact most of the time he was far from it, it was just that he could make her feel like a five year old with a single glance and she didn't want anyone to see her like that, especially not Chase.

She smiled, "I am so sure, boys tend to avoid me, for some reason" Layla blushed slightly, "Well you know, the only reason you got me on the back of your bike is because I wasn't ready to get down in the sand with you, and you just pulled off that cool landing look so well..... I just couldn't help myself" she joked "Na I would like to be on the back off your bike more often, although this is pretty good too, and just for the record..I'm not planning on going anywhere until you want to get rid of me" she smiled and moved her leg so it was touching his.

She watched him talk and smiled with him, hoping that he didn't notice her smile drop when he said about having a girlfriend, or the look of relief that spread across her face when he said he didn't, She smiled to herself girl, you are soo not subtle about these things
Her breath caught a bit when chase hinted towards her, "oh really?" she smiled, "And who do you have in mind" she smiled sweetly and turned to look him in the eye, it was only now she realised how close they were actually sitting, just to make a point she leaned in just a little more.

Chase smiled as Layla told him that she'd like to be on the back of his bike more often. It was what he had wanted all along, not just that of course, but it was all part of his way of love..."Aww well I guess you'll just have to come find me and my bike again then won't you...I mean...It's getting lonely on that saddle of mine..." He joked, trailing off as he listened to Layla talk some more.

Chase looked down towards his leg, as he noticed Layla's leg meet his. He then looked back up at Layla and laughed cheekily. "You'd be so rubbish as a spy...Miss Bond. I mean, 1) Your to attractive to not be noticed, 2) You talk to much. and 3) You so weren't sly with that movement..." He said, nudging the part of Layla's leg that was touching his with his knee as he laughed again. "But no worries, I don't intend to promote you to a 007 spy, and besides, I don't have a problem with your leg being there...keeps me warm." He said, giving Layla a cheeky wink.

Chase thought for a minute when Layla asked him who he had in mind. 'Do I kiss her, or what?' Chase thought to himself. 'Man Up Chase.' He thought to himself once again. 'Come On, Just Do It.' Chase had nowhere to hide now. He had to do it. It was driving him crazy. "Okay sooo..." He said to Layla, not sure what to do, so just going for it. He kissed her straight on the lips, then pulled away after a second or two. "Urmmm...sooo...I hope that answers your question?" He said awkwardly, as a cheeky little smile spread across his lips. This was the moment Chase had been dreaming of since he had gotten to know Layla earlier on in the day. He couldn't help but smile, before he burst out laughing inappropriately. Chase always laughed when he felt awkward.

Layla grinned, she was almost sure that Chase liked her, "you know, I just might have to do that" she laughed, "But I don't want to leave it to chance, I mean we can't have you getting to lonley on that saddle and getting some different girl on the back of your bike can we" she smiled, she hoped that they would be able to arrange meeting again.

she followed his gaze down to thier legs, and smiled in relief when he didnt pull his away, "well it's a very good thing that I don't want to be a spy and that I wasn't trying to be all that sly, but I am going to have to dissagree with you on the pretty thing as your the first to say it"

She looked into Chases eyes and waited for him to make his mind up to what he wanted to do, layla kissed him back for the couple of seconds that his lips touched hers, she smiled at him, he looked uncomfortable so she decided that she would try and ensure him that he had done the right thing "hmmmmmm, well i'm not to sure about that" she smiled cheekily, "let me just check" she said just before leaning in and kissing him softly on the lips for slightly longer than he had kissed her, she noticed when she pulled away that her hand was resting on the edge of his knee, she decided to leave it there, just to see what he would say.

"I think I got It right now, and you wouldn't make much of a spy either, spys need to be brave, and don't take that long to decide on weather to kiss a girl or not" she smiled "not that I mind of course, feel free to think about kissing me any time you like" she added with a cheeky smile

Chase smiled widely when Layla kissed him again. He now knew that his decision to kiss her had been the right one. He looked down as he felt her hand land on his knee. He placed his hand on top of hers then giggled at Layla, a little immaturely. "Ah, that's better." He said, relaxing the tension that he had been feeling in shoulders.

Chase chuckled when Layla told him that he wouldn't make much of a spy either. "Well I'm brave...ish..." Chase trailed off...before going against himself and shaking his head in disagreement with what he had just said. "Actually no I'm not brave...but I never said I wanted to be a spy...I mean...James Bond gets all the girls...but there's only room for one girl in my heart." He said, as he looked back up at Layla. He looked away in awkwardness, before smiling at Layla again, as a cheeky thought came into his head. "Yeah the girl next door is very attractive..." Chase joked, before pausing again..."Wait...you don't live next door to me..." Chase laughed as he found himself moving his hand to take hold of Layla's.

Layla grinned when chase said 'that's better' and smiled when she could see him physically relax some more "hey, any time" she smiled and she meant it, kissing chase could defiantly become an event that she could happily get used to.

She giggled when he was talking about himself not being brave, and blushed when he made a comment about there only being one girl for him, she smiled and looked into his eyes when he looked at her, she really hoped that he was talking about her, Layla was almost certain of it when he looked away obviously feeling awkward, he's so cute she thought to herself "James Bond may get all the girls, but you could get so many more, your better looking than all the guys that have played him"

Her heart sank a little when he first made the comment about 'the girl next door' she just couldn't help it, she liked him a little too much. Layla noticed that he was joking and hoped that he didn't notice her little panic where she was pretty sure her muscles tensed up a little, relaxing fully again she smiled and giggled "I wish I did, but I'm not that lucky" she sighed "and trust me, If I lived next to you, you would be well and truly fed up with hearing my voice by now" she smiled and looked chase in the eye, wondering if he would ask more into that last comment that she made, she linked her fingers with chase and beamed like a five year old with a new toy, In a way she sort of was, she had never been this close to a boy before, let alone one that seemed to like her as much as she did him.

Chase couldn't help himself. He was madly in love with Layla. His smile was almost permanent now, and it was a smile that Chase wanted to keep. "You really think I could get more girls than James Bond?...I don't think so..." He said, as his smile turned to a shy one.

Chase hoped that Layla would have recognised that he was joking about the girl next door. He thought he spotted a little sense of panic on Layla's face, but he wasn't sure, so he chose to ignore it. "I'd never get fed up of hearing your voice...who would?" He said, using his charms once again to try and win Layla over a little more than before. "And that face...I'd never get bored of that..." He said, placing his hand on Layla's cheek as he spoke, then moved it back down to his side when he had finished speaking.

Chase giggled a little as he tried to catch eye-contact with Layla. It was something that hadn't happened very often between the pair of them. But when it did, Chase absolutely loved it. "Oh, and those eyes...not even James Bond could get a girl with as catching eyes as you..." Chase paused for a second. "I feel like this is all one big fairytale...a fairytale that I hope will end with 3 words..." Chase wanted to say I love you, but felt that it was the wrong time, so cheekily changed his words to something more suitable. "Happily ever after...." He said, before kissing Layla on the cheek, then waited for her reply.
