Closed Competitive Sprinting

Seamus knew that it was vital that he keep up his running. He knew that he wouldn't be able to do much while at Hogwarts but he liked running and he liked sports and he was doubtful about his chances about getting on to the quidditch team this year so he'd have to do something to get his practice up for next year, so running was the best idea, if only because he hadn't brought his bike to school with him. He brought some jumpers outside with him, and set them up a certain distance apart, markers from him to sprint back and forth from. He'd been on his school's football team he knew how to push himself how to make sure he got the most out of it. He had his water bottle filled and was stretching, it was important to make sure that he was limber for running, especially if he'd be doing drills. It was a cold enough day that he doubted anyone would actually be outside so at least he'd have some peace. ​

 

[Xiuying Huang]

Xiuying had woken up a bit early than normal, as she thought that getting up early would give her enough time to study for a bit before her day began. However, she became bored of studying but had done good enough for the day. She wasn't gonna visit her brothers and annoy them, that was a job for another day, so she had decided to venture outside and see if there was anything she could do. Some exercise would be good, but she was a bit lazy to go back and get changed into more suitable. Xiuying walked towards the lake, and maybe look around the eel that everyone has literally been talking about. As Xiuying got closer to the lake, she noticed that someone was already there, stretching, and it had looked like he was going to do some drills. The Ravenclaw smiled excitedly and called out to the boy "Yoo!" Xiuying calls out to the boy before jogging and making her way towards the boy. "Do you mind if I join you? I'll be quiet if you need quiet" Xiuying asks the boy, if the boy didn't want her to be there, she for sure would find something else to keep her exercises going.

Seamus missed his music player, he'd always enjoyed putting on a face paced song and trying to keep with the beat. He was just finishing his stretching when someone called out to him. He was a little surprised to see anyone out here but he didn't greet them or say hello, looking to know what they wanted first before he decided on how to act, what tone to take. As it turned out, it was a girl not much older than him looking to probably like him, do some running. He thought about it for a moment and then nodded, "Yeah sure, but only if we make it a competition, 10 drills and then loser has to do a push up, and repeat until one of us yields," If he couldn't have his music, he could make this into a competition. he knew he would push himself more with it and that would only be good. ​

 

[Xiuying Huang]

Xiuying smiled as the boy agreed and as he continued to speak, Xiuying had a small smirk lingering on her face, "Oh you're so on" Xiuying says with a chuckle, she loved some competition. Anything to get competitive. Xiuying also loved anything that was related to sports or exercise. The Ravenclaw quickly ties her hair up, her competitive mode turned on. "Are you ready to rumble?" Xiuying says with a laugh, as she was trying to hype herself as she was not one to lose.

Seamus couldn't help the little smile on his face as she agreed, seemed even eager to agree to it. She seemed as competitive as he was. He finished his stretching and then nodded, "Yes," he told her. It was a pity that they didn't have a third person to count down, Hamish would be useful at this point in time. But he figured it would be fine, "To keep it far, I'll count down this time, you'll count down next, we'll go on go," he knew it would give a short head start but when this was about sped that was important.
