Felix had been trying to meditate like Harper had told him but it was easier said than done. Between quidditch and prefect duties and homework he hardly found the time. And if he did find a few spare minutes it was in between lessons or while he was eating dinner. Not exactly calm or relaxing places. Even when he did find a quiet corridor during his patrols or a moment alone in his dorm he rarely was able to completely clear his mind the way he was supposed to.
The sun would be setting soon and most people were heading inside for dinner so he figured this would be the perfect time to try again. Felix thought that maybe he was missing the nature element to all of this. So he sat with his legs crossed on the lawn and felt the cool evening breeze on his face. He had even taken off his shoes to ground himself by feeling the grass. He closed his eyes and focused on his breathing. Every time his mind started to drift he would hear something or think he'd hear something but he kept his eyes shut tight. He would do this.
