Pearl had never once celebrated Hallowwen, it was not something her dad had ever enjoyed and by proxy neither had she. She knew of it and had read things about occasionally but the slytherin had never dressed up, had never gotten candy and had never been so concerned about it. She had decided to have a little go of it, buying a little cheerleaders outfit and now she was wearing it for the halloween feast. She had yellow pompoms and had a big B on her chest, which she would decide at each time ask what it meant. She walked into the great hall and spotted all of the food and drinks. She moved further into the room, and then stood at the edge of the dancerfloor and was ready to cheer on if anyone fell or made a mess.

Marnie couldn't believe she'd forgotten a costume. She'd spent so long fussing over what to pack and somehow Halloween costume had never crossed her mind. After realizing her mistake, she'd been trapped in indecision about what to dress up as, starting and discarding too many costume ideas to count right up until it was time to head down to the feast. Strapped for ideas, she'd simply pulled her quilt over her head, not wanting to show up as nothing so it'd have to do. If anyone asked, she was a haunted quilt. A perfectly good costume.

Unfortunately, Marnie hadn't really considered the logistics of her choice until she was already heading down. Getting downstairs without tripping was a mission, watching her feet carefully on each step and just hoping she didn't bump into anyone. The Great Hall itself was a lot harder and Marnie struggled her way through the crowd, bumping off bodies and objects she couldn't see like a pinball. "Excuse me, sorry, haunting quilt coming through oh gosh was that your foot I'm so sorry look out look out I don't have eyes sorry!" She said, nearly losing her balance as she walked headlong into someone standing still nearby.

Pearl noticed a girl sitting not too far from her who'd just bumped into someone and was very loudly speaking. Pearl watched her for a second as she then lost her balance. Pearl was quick to move out of the way of the girl as she walked with her balance mostly gone. Pearl was not going to be knocked over by someone who wasn't watching where they were going. She did however give a big cheer for them, the blanket person.
