Édelie was nervous about the upcoming game, and she just needed a moment to not focus on quidditch or school. As she headed down to the gardens, she took a few moments to appreciate the flowers and then took a seat on a grey stone bench nearby. The weather was gettting chillier as they headed into the winter months, but today was abnormally warm. Probably the last one before winter really started to set in. She pulled out her journal from her shoulder bag and found a pen, starting to write down her thoughts. Maybe that would help with her stressors.

Gabrielle was excited she had managed to get a spot on the quidditch team, even if there were so many spots that had to be filled. It had been a hard decision for her not to try out for the position her mom used to play, the one she was most familiar with but she figured it just wasn't for her. She was glad she had though, because she truly enjoyed being a chaser so far and she knew her mom was proud of her no matter what. Gaby had been wandering around the gardens, clearing her head and enjoying how mild the weather was for this time of the year. As she continued her way through the gardens she suddenly noticed one of her teammates on a bench nearby, deciding to head on over without even thinking about it. "Hi." She brightly smiled at Édelie. "Mind if I sit with you?"

Édelie heard a voice nearby and looked up from her journal. "Oh, hey," she said to Gaby, giving her a smile. "Of course you can sit." Édelie moved over to allow room on the bench for her teammate. They had only met at their practices and had never spoken outside of that. She thought the girl was the same age as her sister Paula, but there were just so many younger students she didn't know. Closing her journal to hide her thoughts, she looked over at Gaby. "How are you doing? Ready for our game?" The idea of traveling to America and then playing on a field they were unfamiliar with was a little nervewracking, but hopefully things would turn out okay.

Gaby happily took a seat next to Édelie when she moved over to make some space for her on the bench, shooting the girl another smile. She didn't really now the older girl well yet, but she did feel like they had made a pretty solid team during practice which, in her own opinion, had worked out really well for them. They had managed to score various times and she felt like even if they didn't know each other all that well it had worked out good for them. "I'm good." Gaby nodded, even if she had to admit their upcoming game was pretty much all that was on her mind at the moment. "I think so." She laughed, trying to somehow get the pressure of talking about the upcoming game. "Definitely nervous but if we all play like we did in practice I figure we might have a shot." She continued. Practice had been going good for everyone and even if she hadn't enjoyed getting hit by bludgers it did mean their beaters had been doing a solid job which could work in their advantage. "I'm excited we get to travel for it though." Gaby ended her answer with a smile. "What about you? Nervous? Excited?"

Édelie nodded when Gaby mentioned she was nervous. She was nervous as well seeing as there was a winning streak. But with all the new team members, she hoped Mualla would understand if they did indeed lose. Gaby was a much better scorer than she was, but she did find the camaraderie they had on the field a happy surprise. "I definitely agree. That is one nice thing about being a chaser - we have someone else to rely on," she said with a friendly smile. "But I'm okay. Trying not to worry too much on it. I'd rather look at other things coming up like dances and the winter weather." She enjoyed the winter season more than most, mostly because of the fashion.

Gaby happily nodded at Édelie's mention of how being chaser meant having others to rely on. She definitely agreed with that. Even if they were all a team she felt like, at least for the chaser part of the game, she needed to rely a whole lot more on their fellow-chasers than on the rest of the team. Even if the rest of the team seemed far more important in helping them win the game. "Right? So many more fun things coming up." Gaby smiled when the older girl mentioned trying to think about things like dances in an attempt not to think about their upcoming game too much and get too stressed out. "If only exams weren't in the way first." She joked with a little shake of her head, not really looking forward to the different kinds of stress those brought before they would even get to some more fun things.
