<COLOR color="#000">Aphrodite Snow was currently headed to the Quidditch Pitch, she had finished up all her homework for the day and now she wanted to do something she actually found fun. She could have went with her two friends but if she had to be blunt and honest, she got bored while hanging out with them. All they did was pick on people and find ways to compliment Krystin before she started to throw fits about being ugly or something dumb like that. Plus the two of them had a knack for making Aphrodite feel both crappy and awkward whenever she was around them and had to listen to them yammer on. It was hard being best friends with two girls she was starting to think she couldn't stand. When they first met she knew she liked them because all three of them got along really well and had a fun time hanging out. They all enjoy fashion a lot and could go on trips and actually compliment one another on their outfit of choice. But now they were only twelve and Aphrodite thought her friends had become monsters. It wasn't the way they used to be and the young Gryffindor girl missed the old friends she had made more than they would probably ever know. Aphrodite wasn't like them and she was afraid one day they might catch onto that and start to hate her for acting like she did. For starters, Aphrodite was known as the nice one. There was times when she could be bratty but that was mostly when it involved people trying to step in and threaten her chance in the spotlight. But whenever her two friends started to get onto some poor innocent student she started to feel really bad because she never wanted to hurt anyone's feelings. Aphrodite just didn't want to invoke the wrath of her Slytherin companion. Most of the time those kids never allowed her to apologize and explain the situation either. Aphrodite liked fashion just like her friends did but she sometimes thought they liked clothing that was more glamorous than it was cute, and Aphrodite liked cute more than anything. Aphrodite was terrified to being Isaia around them too, she thought that Krystin would want to spite her one of these days and steak him away when he was her friend. Even if it looked like she was already having boy drama or something. the young cub didn't want to risk it.

Since Isaia was nowhere to be found and Aphrodite was avoiding her friends, she decided to go for a later run around the Quidditch pitch. The sun was beginning to set a little but the curfew deadline hadn't been met yet. So she still had time. But she was cutting it awful close though. Honey blonde hair swayed around in the breeze, she normally kept it tied into a large red bow when she was at Quidditch practice. She figured she wouldn't need one right now. Aphrodite glance around the pitch to make sure no one was around to bother her before she shrugged her shoulders and mounted her Scarlet Streak before she kicked off the ground and sped right into the air, the wind lapping wildly at her body. Once she was up in the air and had flown a decent amount she started to hum to herself loudly. Aphrodite wasn't shy when it came to letting others know that she was talented when it came to having a pretty voice. She loved to sing and she knew that one day she would make a career out of it. Aphrodite continued to hum loudly to herself and fly around, like nothing was bothering her, until there was a sharp feeling on her arm. It felt like something small was tickling her. Had a leaf or something blown up here and landed on her? Aphrodite drifted her dark blue eyes down to take a peek, but instead of a leaf she found herself looking at a big ugly bug. One the size of a small leaf even. Of course the girly girl when hysterical. "OH MY GOD, EW!" Her high pitched voice managed as she swatted at the bug to try and get it off of her poor arm. The bug was quite the trooper though and refused to fly away even with her swatting at it like there was no tomorrow. Her swatting though forced her to lose her balance. If Aphrodite had worried less about the damn bug and more about how high up she was, but that was her own stupidity. The young Gryffindor swung her arms trying to regain her balance but it was a lot easier said than done. Alas Aphrodite could not catch her balance and before she could even grab a hold of the broom so she could possibly fly a way she found herself falling through the sky. The broom fell right along with her and she knew that from the height she was, this was probably going to hurt like hell too not to mention her broom would be suffering as well. A shriek escaped her lips. This is why bugs should not be allowed to land on children.

At the moment, Damian Metzger had been planning an afternoon to go outside and enjoy the fresh air, but truth be told, he did not know how things would fan out if he did. Damian had been having a rough morning with waking up all through the night and he had no clue as to why he was doing that. However he thought that sometimes things were just out of control and he would not have to worry about them but he did. This year he had slacked on Transfiguration, but next year he would do a lot better. Perhaps it was the stress of classes baring down on him, but overall, maybe he was just a little stressed and he would have to talk to Dietrich about it. His older brother was like a female at times, but then again there were times when Dietrich could behave himself. Damian stared off into space as he leaned against the tree in the middle of the lawn. Damian twirled his black and blonde hair beneath his index finger and suddenly wondered where Ostensia was at. He sure missed her right now. But she might be busy right now so he decided that he might write her a little note so that she could smile, and he pictured her smile. It warmed him up just imagining her smile right now. She was his girlfriend and everything was going by just fine. He loved everything about her, but this was nothing more than puppy love and not the 'in love' that everyone was talking about. However one could very well be fooled into thinking one was the other. Damian really liked her, and always thought about her. Getting out some parchment, he decided to write that note, slowly but surely. Once he was finished, he folded it up, whistled for his owl to come along before he pinned it to the leg of the owl. He told the owl to hurry and take it to Ostensia. Luckily this owl was smart as it flew off, knowing where to find that sunshine of Damian's life. The young Gryffindor was rather smitten, and there was no denying that at all. How long would it last? It seemed like if it lasted this long, it would last even more, if not for the rest of his life! Damian was a positive thinker, and thought of everything, but when it came to Ostensia and himself, he could not think that he would ever be without her.

That had considerably lifted his mood up enough so that he could get up from his seat. His bottom was rather sore after sitting on the trunk for who knows how long. Perhaps an hour? Damian decided to head out to the Quidditch pitch to see if anyone he knew was there. He was pretty known within his year, but then again he was one of those people that everyone would seem to like. Damian had that type of attitude, but he had also made some enemies, which was why he had a few scars from where Leviathan had left in him after hanging around Ariah Rowan. It was sad that he could not hang around her anymore. Damian did miss her but things had turned out for the best he guessed. Pure-bloods like that should not be messed with apparently. He let out a rough sigh as he entered the Quidditch Pitch to see that it was almost empty. That is, he thought it was until he heard someone shrieking. Now that was a sound that he did not hear often at all. He looked around to see what was going on. Whipping out his wand just in case, his teal eyes landed on someone that happened to be falling. He could tell by that blonde hair and small body who it was immediately. Aphrodite Snow, one of his chasers. Did she always get herself in some sticky situations? Time seemed to slow because he wondered whether or not to stop her fall before realizing that it could hurt her. And then he might be a chaser short for the game. He had no other choice but to do something. Performing the first charm off the top of his head, he tried to use the hover charm, only to see that it slowed her progress in falling while he ran out in the middle of the pitch. As soon as he was underneath her, the charm lifted and she fell right into her captain's arms. Damian grunted a little bit from the impact because he was not strong at all, and carrying someone that weighed over fifty pounds made his arms scream in protest. He could never be a beater, that was for certain. Damian then dropped the young girl before he folded his arms across his chest and he inquired, "Are you all right, Aphrodite?" He had to see if she was all right because he would need to know how in the world she managed to fall off her broom.

<COLOR color="#000">Aphrodite waited for the pain of hitting the cold, hard ground to overtake her body. It was obviously a mistake getting on that broom today and cursed Hogwarts for not being more careful about their bug problem. But the ground and her body never met. Well seemingly anyways. She felt like she was falling at a slower pace than she was supposed to. It was so scary because she didn't know what was going on right now. Then she felt herself fall into someone's arms. It was a guy that had caught her because she heard him grunt in protest as she landed with his arms. Aphrodite surely did feel bad but she also was more than grateful that she had been caught instead of being let hit the ground. Shock took over the young Gryffindor and she gaze around with large blue eyes. They were filled with horror and worry. But she had almost just plummeted to the ground so could she really be blamed for being in a state of shock? Her small body was dropped to the ground and she realized who had caught her. It was her Captain and the one who had busted her earlier in the year for flying around the corridors. Her eyes lifted to Damian before she opened her mouth, oh boy was he going to hear a story today. ”Um, I guess? My dignity is pretty much shot though. This school really needs to take care of it's bug problem!”Aphrodite admitted as she glanced around to see if anyone else had seen her fall from the sky like an idiot and be saved by her rival and teammate. The young Gryffindor had thought that Damian didn't like her so she wasn't sire why she had been saved by him. Maybe it was because they played on the same team and he wanted her to be able to play in the next game? Well she had no idea why he did it but she wasn't sure if she wanted to know why. Sometimes things were better left unsaid and since she knew Damian and her were already on sketchy grounds she decided not to really press anything that could make it worse between them. She was lucky that he wasn't biased or she probably wouldn't be on the Quidditch Team right now. Truly they were a sight to see and the fact that Aphrodite and Damian's girlfriend Ostensia didn't get along well, made it all that much more interesting for them to be on the pitch together.

”I don't know why you did it because I probably deserved to fall on my butt. But Thank you for not letting me hit the ground ” Aphrodite thanked Damian once she was up from the ground and was wiping dirt and grass off of her clothes. He didn't have to rescue her at all so she just wanted him to know that she was thankful that he was there to catch her. Breaking her back or something sounded so damn painful and Aphrodite wasn't sure how she would work with having such a serious injury done to her. Especially with her singing and stuff. Now it was just awkward because it felt like Aphrodite owed Damian a favor or something and they didn't like one another too much. Horrible things could happen on her part if Damian figured that out and decided to use it against her. He seemed too nice and polite to do such a thing but if it was one thing Aphrodite learned from her older sister Alyssa and events from the past, was that you could never fully trust a person you didn't know very well. They could always be capable of doing something you didn't expect them to do. Damian could very well be the same exact way and Aphrodite didn't think she wanted to find out the hard way. Finally, Aphrodite's broom made contact with the ground and her eyes turned softly towards it. It didn't appear to be broken but she wondered why it had taken so long to fall? With a sheepish smirk Aphrodite walked her way over to the broom and she picked it up to make sure there was no damage. so far everything looked perfect. ”What are you doing out here this last anyways?” It wouldn't be long before Aphrodite would have to head inside to avoid the curfew and getting into trouble. Was that why Damian was out here? He wanted to tell her that she needed to get inside? Was he and his girlfriend meeting out here for one of those gross, overrated kissing sessions the older students seemed to have. Aphrodite suddenly grew annoyed with herself. Why was she even talking to him when they hated one another?

It was times like this when Damian Garic wished that he was stronger and worked out more with his tattooed arms. He was getting bigger and stronger, but that did not mean that he was able to catch a falling girl right out of the sky without having it hurt. At least now she was on the ground and not in his arms. That would be awkward considering that he and Ostensia were going out and dating, and Damian was convinced that they were going to last for years and years. The only thing was, he did not know what he was going to be doing for the next twenty years. Damian ran his fingers through his hair and he narrowed his eyes down at the young Chaser. She was good at Quidditch, he knew this for a fact, but he did not know if she could ever stop falling off her broom long enough before she would get hurt. What if she hurt herself so much that she managed to break something, and then never play Quidditch again? Damian did not think that he would appreciate that. Damian rolled his eyes when Aphrodite said that her dignity was shot, and then said something about the school having a bug problem. Sometimes when Damian was not in the best of moods, like he was now, he could be slightly sarcastic, "I know, the bugs just keep falling out of the sky, don't they." He smirked a bit when he practically said that she was the bug, and that was it. However Damian was hardly ever truly mean, he was just playing around and the smirk on his pierced lips said it all for itself. Damian was never mean enough to say that no one deserved to get seriously hurt like she could have been with someone there that could have done something to help. Damian was that type of person, probably why he was awarded Prefect in the first place. He had a big heart, and the only person he did not truly like was the one that hated him for his blood status. He did not get what all that was about but he did not care either. Apparently he was even dating a pureblooded female, but she was not like that snake at all, which was why he liked her so much. Damian did not want to hold anything against anyone, especially when someone like Aphrodite was apart of his team, and what they stood for in Quidditch. Besides, she did not seem as mean as Krystin did either so it was not all that bad.

Watching the young Gryffindorian girl wipe the dirt off of her clothing, she thanked him even though she did not know why he had done such a deed. Damian shook his head and he stated, "I'm not about to let anyone, no matter who they are, fall from that height and get hurt. Whatever happened up there in the sky, no one deserves." Damian shrugged lightly as if he did not know why she thought like that, and that was true, he did not think that she was being serious about her deserving that. Damian moved his hair from his blue-green eyes and he looked down at Aphrodite with curious eyes. There was no sign of dislike that could be seen in his eyes. Just a little concern, seeing as she had fallen off of her broom. What if that happened and there was no one else around her? Damian looked over her broom that had made contact with the ground now, and luckily it was not destroyed by something vicious or took off in another direction. Damian was then asked what he was doing out this late anyways, and he shrugged lightly. He just wanted to be around the Pitch, seeing as it was his favorite place to be. Damian looked down at the grass for a moment and he answered in a casual almost bored tone, "Ostensia is kind of busy and I had nothing to do so I thought I'd come out to the Pitch for a while and get some fresh air. Not like I was following you to see if you were up to anything bad or against the rules." Damian looked at the sky and did see that it was getting late, but he did not know if it was around curfew and everything. The sun was going down and it was getting later and later. That and he was thinking about going in for dinner, because the male was getting hungrier and hungrier. Damian looked over at Aphrodite before he added, "Besides the fact that you fell, and I saved your butt because we can't afford to lose a Chaser and... Whatever, maybe we should head in or else we might run into Styx." Damian did not care if the man was not working in the Greenhouses did not mean that he was not lurking around from time to time.
