Cyzarine hadn’t seen Mihail much over the holidays, they had spent a little bit of time hanging out during the year, but the holidays had been a long few weeks without him. The girl had reached out the moment she had gotten back to school, and they had decided to meet up. It was where Cyzarine currently was, she had said they should do something that was good and fun, but hadn’t been sure what they could do at all. There were endless options for them, but it was not entirely easy to just pick the one that they could do. But given that she knew that he liked cooking and they could sit in the relative peace of the kitchen that was where they were found. Cyzarine smiled softly at him, she was sat at one of the long tables in the kitchen with a charms book and a few other things in front of her. She was vaguely working, writing while she mostly just watch Mihail in amongst the elves cooking something that he wouldn’t tell her what it was. ”Just let me try it Mihail!” the girl said with a giggle, she didn’t actually want to disturb him from his work, from his cooking, but Cyzarine was getting pretty hungry and she was waiting for him to be almost done with at least one dish, she knew cooking took time, but she was hungry now!

The holidays, Mihail spent a lot of time going back and forth from country to country, visiting family members and enduring long meetings with the other students of his family. It was boring and he did not like it at all. He wanted to be outside at all times, then there was his dad that was dating someone. The nerve! Oh well, there was nothing he could do about it now. He was just a kid. He was glad to be back at school where Cyzarine wanted to hang out with him, as if it wasn't mutual. She only asked because he had not asked first, that was the way it was. The two managed to go to the kitchen where he could start cooking. He wanted to have it a secret anyway. He was making some slider burgers, since he didn't know how to cook chicken yet. And if he got it wrong, that would make them both sick. He didn't want that! "It is almost done!" He had to wait on the fries which took a little bit, while he put the cheese onto the meat. He put the bun on top and then the toothpick to hold it together. "Just two more minutes, okay!"

Cyzarine groaned heavily, though there was a hint of a giggle on her tone, ”Ughh,” she was of course lightly joking, she’d happily just spend the time with him, it didn’t entirely matter what they were doing, but she knew it would be good to spend this time together, he’d talked about how he wasn’t allowed to do so, that it could be kept between them and all the elves that would never tell anyone. Of course anyone could walk in and interrupt them but she had a feeling they just wouldn’t and she’d happily lie through her teeth for Mihail. ”I hope you know I skipped breakfast for this,” the girl joked - she hadn’t actually, she’d had a smaller breakfast than she might’ve otherwise had, but she was both eager and hungry. It had been smelling in this room amazingly for a while and she couldn’t concentrate on the work that she was supposed to be doing properly. ”Fine! Just because I know it’s going to be amazing, and I should really finish this before we eat,” the girl turned back to what work she had brought with her, she didn’t have charms in this semester but she had to get ahead of what they would be doing to impress her father. It also meant that she could started on more of the monthly work which she was hoping to get started on. Cyzarine had begun there and she was very keen to impress, so despite how distracting it was to smell something so good, she just focused on her work.

Mihail stopped preparing the last bits when he heard her say that she skipped breakfast. He swore up and down that she was joking with him. She had to be! Regardless, he had to lecture her! “You can’t be skipping meals, especially breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day!” Mihail felt like his mother when it came down to it. She was the chef in the former marriage anyway. Mihail finished with the plates while she was doing her work. He walked over to the small table and set it down in front of her. He grinned as he announced, “Bacon sliders with cheddar and some fries! Or chips if you call them that anyway”

Cyzarine rolled her eyes at him but concentrated more upon the work in front of her rather than on what Mihail was saying. She of course had had something to eat but she’d picked something lighter than her usual because she’d known she’d get great food from Mihail and didn’t want to ruin her own appetite. The girl finished up when she needed to when Mihail finally put the food down in front of her. She closed up all of her books and put them aside bring the plate to sit directly in front of her, smiling lightly at him. ”We call them чипсы, in russian!” she said to her with a warm smile and picked up a few eating them smiled appreciatively. ”This is delicious Mihail,” she said excitedly as she swallowed the little bit of food that she had eaten. It was so nice and tasty. She wondered where he’d learned to make this, if it was the first time he’d made it. But really she was just quite speechless, happily eating away at the food. To think his family wouldn’t want him to do this when he was so clearly good at it.
