With no date, Sianna felt a little bored, most of her friends had plans for the Yuleball, and she was left with nothing. There was a saving grace for Sianna and the yuleball, a way to excuse herself from the pressure of being alone while at the ball, and that was the yearbook, if anyone asked what she was doing, she just had to simple motion to the camera in her hand and say yearbook. She didn’t want to have to be working on the yearbook on such a night, but since she always had to take a couple of pictures it did little harm to just do a whole bunch in the one. To just substitute a duties instead of a date. She was walked around the hall, in the red dress that she had picked out, it that suited her with ease, and she felt it suited her forming body. She held the camera, holding it up every so often and snapping a picture whenever she could. It wasn’t too bad really, she felt pangs of jealousy at the couples in the hall, but, she knew where these kids were all having fun and not thinking of the future she was ensuring that upon leaving school she would have masses of experience that would enable her to get a head start over this lot, and she held that idea close, though she was clutching at straws. The yuleball was fun, but Sianna knew it would be better if she’d had a date

Lennon had become increasingly busy throughout the semester so he hadn't been able to hang out with anyone as much as he would have liked. He had considered asking someone to the Yule Ball but with his conflicting feelings for two different girls he thought it best not to act upon anything just yet because he didn't know how they felt about him in return. Instead he decided to go to the yule ball by himself to try to have some fun because he needed it. He threw on a blue suit and headed to the great hall. He had already grabbed himself a cup of punch and sat down at a table when he noticed his friend Sianna at the ball, but she wasn't dancing or with anyone else, she was working instead. He hadn't noticed her right away because it still took him a moment to recognize her with her brown hair, but with the camera in her hand he was sure it was her. He smiled to himself and walked over to the Ravenclaw girl. "Hey you," he greeted her. "Are you really out here working on yule ball night?" he said with mild shock and playfulness.

If Sianna was honest, she was rather surprised to see Lennon, having been so busy over the semester she hadn't had much of chance to see him or speak to him. That and annoyingly she was beginning to feel something for him, but she knew that he was interested in someone else. But, she still smiled warmly at him, greeting him as she always would've, "Someone has to," she replied simply with a small shrug of her shoulders and a little smile, since it was in part true, and also because it was better to look busy than to admit that no one had asked her to the ball. The accio did need pictures of the ball, and though they could be done within a small space of time, she had decided to just get a lot of pictures and have a choice when putting them together. Sianna looked at him and wondered if he was with anyone, she wasn't sure, assuming he had to be with someone, but he was talking to her, so perhaps not, "Where's your date?" she asked. Sianna hoped in a slightly optimistic but horrible way that he too was alone at this thing. It would indicate to her that perhaps he wasn't actually with anyone currently. It wouldn't help indicate if he was interested in her, but it was a little information, and with a little information she could find out more, that was the ravenclaw way.

Lennon smiled woefully as Sianna said someone had to get pictures of the event because he knew she was right, he just didn't think it would have to be her. Though given that she was now deputy editor he should've guessed that she'd have lots more responsibility such as this one. He put his hands in his pockets as he leaned against a table and shook his head. "Don't have one," he shrugged. He looked up at her knowing he could probably already guess the answer to this question but he still had to ask. He cleared his throat. "Do you have a work date?" he chuckled nervously as he asked. He didn't know if his actual question came across but he was just trying to find a polite way of finding out whether or not she was here with someone else too, whether that was a colleague from the yearbook also taking pictures or if it was someone else entirely.

Aminia watched within ear shot of the two. He hadn't even mentioned whether he'd wanted to go with Mini or not - was he even thinking of her while standing with the other Claw. Aminia made her approach, the god skirt long, her heels clicking the floor. She was nearly the same height as Lennon with her heels on as she approached. "No date?" She answered Sianna's question from Lennon, not sure if she had one. "That's such a shame, such a pretty girl." Mini smiled at Lennon. "You two love birds are getting on fine though I'm sure." She spoke in a fairly spiteful tone, eyes conveying sweetness better than before, an emotion she had been working on faking for a long time. "I hope you two have tons of fun though." She remarked, shooting Lennon a glance with a mix between jealous and hurt - true emotions she tried to withhold, before leaving the two of them hoping at least to have ruined one of their nights.

The teen shook her head, she was rather surprised that he didn't have a date, the teen had thought that Lennon would come with that girl. She shook her head at the question and had been about to say that she couldn't exactly have a date while working, when someone else, the exact girl she had just been thinking about arrived on the scene. She listened to her, and frowned a little at what the girl said, she could tell that it wasn't exactly sincere. Definitely not the last part. Sianna stared a little in disbelief as the girl walked away, she looked back at Lennon with a questioning glance, as if to ask why he liked her. Sianna smiled a little at him, "That was a little weird," she commented, raising her camera to take another picture of the crowd, "Maybe we should stop hanging out? If it's going to annoy her so much that we spend even two minutes together," Sianna was lying, though doing a better job than the other girl had, but she didn't want to not spend time with him, he was one of her few friends in the school, but she really didn't want to get involved in whatever was going on between him and that girl, Sianna knew she would always be happy being his, "I just want to be friends with you Lennon, nothing else,"

Lennon felt guilty for being happy that Sianna had not come with anyone else, but his happiness at that news did not last long as Aminia appeared out of nowhere and made some comments toward Sianna. Even if they hadn't been exactly mean comments, he knew they were not said out of sincerity and he didn't know how to respond. He caught Mini's eye as she walked away and then sighed frustratedly, unsure of what to do. "I'm sorry about that," he told Sianna, feeling weird for apologizing on her behalf even if he wasn't sure why Mini cared so much. One minute she was dismissing him and the next she was jealous whenever he talked to Sianna.

He looked up when Sianna suggested they should stop hanging out and looked hurt for a moment. Lennon shook his head and said, "Mini isn't - we aren't..anything," he sighed once he realized that truth. "So I can hang out with whoever I want," he said firmly. Even if Mini did get jealous of his and Sianna's friendship, it wasn't going to stop him from hanging out with her because she was one of his only friends at this school since their first year and he valued that friendship. The next words out of Sianna's mouth hurt Lennon more than he thought they would though. Just friends. It made him realize perhaps had had been developing more feelings for Sianna than he thought which would essentially ruin the friendship he cherished with her. He would have to accept that nothing was going to happen between them so he could continue to be her friend because he didn't want that to change. Lennon ran his palm over his face as he considered what to say but put on a smile for the Ravenclaw girl. "We'll always be friends, Sianna. I'm sorry for any conflict this whole thing caused you," he gestured between himself and her and then towards the area where Aminia had left.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw Mini dancing with someone, constantly looking over at him to see if he was noticing, so he ruffled his hair and said, "I'm sorry, please excuse me." He gave one last brief smile to Sianna before going to find Mini to ask her what that was all about. As upset and confused he was about the whole thing, at least now he knew where he and Sianna stood so he could focus on fixing things with their friendship and that meant talking to Mini first to see if she could apologize to the girl, though he doubted that would happen.
