Odette walked the familiar streets of Obsidian Harbor, she was glad she was here but wondered if it would be any better than France. It was hard to deal with the lost of her twin. They had been so close and everything she saw reminded her of Jayden. She sighed as she walked. Here they had good memories, and that was why she had come. In France the memories of the fights with her parents and terrible seizures lurked. Here there was shopping and making new friends. It did make her smile just a little remembering some of the things she and her twin had done here. Every shop held a different story and with every street came visions of two teenage girls lost, talking about the latest boys they had met. A single tear rolled down her cheek. It was a happy tear for the time they had shared together. But right now she was so torn apart she didn't know what to do. Finally she wiped the tear off her cheek and continued walking. As far as she knew the few people that were around were taking no notice of her and she was glad. It was about then that she ran into the wall. She fell back and caught herself. She realized how much this fit into her old life. Running into walls and talking to every stranger she saw. Odette laughed just a little. It was the first time she had left since it had happened. It felt good, but it also made her feel guilty. She was here living, her sister would never laugh again. Another sigh escaped her lips as she started to pick herself up off the ground. She knew she had scraped her hands good, she felt the sting as she pressed her hands to the ground, but it was nothing that wouldn't heal. Or maybe when she got home she would use magic to fix herself up, at the moment she didn't care she just wanted her sister back.

Elvera was in obsidian to pick up some supplies for her shop. she had just walked out of one of the shops, when she felt a sensation she was slowly getting used to washed over her like a wave. she staggard and put her bag on the floor before she dropped it, and pretended to tie her shoe lace but anyone paying attention would see that she had ballet flats on, which had no lases.
there was a blond girl, make that two blonde girls, but they were the same. one of them was in a car, the other was walking along the road, she saw the car crash and felt the forse crash through her. then the other girl let a tear leak her eyes, she fely for the girl she looked so troubled. then she saw her walk into a wall, and fall to the ground. just then she heard a sigh
bask in her own body she stood up again picking up her bags. she started walking along the street, when she was the same blonde girl she had seen just moments ago walking into a wall again, this time for real. forgeting her list of things to buy she hurried over to the lady. she must have seen this for a reason. "Are you okay? you seem a little troubled" she said crouching next to the girl and offering her a hand up.

elvera is a seer

Odette looked up to see a women above her. She didn't know who she was but she offered her a hand and she took it. It was weird that this women she had just met seemed to know something was wrong, was it that clear on her face. "I'm alright, I just have a lot on my mind." Odette said once she was on he feet again. The girl looked to be around her age maybe a little younger. "Thank you, for the hand." Her french accent coming through a little. She mustered up a half smile. This was one of the first people she had seen since coming to New Zealand, and she was glad to know that the people here were still as nice as ever. Odette straightened her dress, thank goodness she had worn leggings and looked at her hands. They weren't bad, she had taken much harder falls than this when she had seizures. Being as they were in a wizarding town she decided to heal her hands. There was another person here after all and she didn't want to bleed all over the places. It only took a moment to pull out her wand and heal them. She opened and closed them a few times satisfied with her work she turned her attention back to the girl. "Sorry about that, I'm Odette." She extended her now healed hand.
OOCOut of Character:
That is very cool :)

Elvera smiled at the lady. "do you want to talk about it. it may make you feel a little better" she said smiling at her, she gathered that there was something to do with a car crash playing on her mind but wasn't sure what i was, or even who it was, however the brief image she had seen was that the other girl looked pretty similar to Odette, so maybe they were sisters. she, she thought back to her own sisters, she didn't even know that she had sisters until a few months ago, and she was so glad that she had discovered them when she did as knowing that she had Eden and Lilith made her feel more complete, it was odd like that. when the girl spoke again she picked up a slight accent, and thought that it was french but she had never been that good at accents so she wasn't sure. "don't mention it" she said once she was steady on her feet. she watched as Odette straitened her clothes, and was amazed she she healed her hand with her wand. "that was pretty neat" she said, wondering how she did it. "I am Elvera" she said offering her hand to shake. The lady seemed nice but a little lost and Elvera hated seeing people upset so she smiled again and said. "do you want to get a drink. or a bite to eat" she said wanting to help the girl through whatever she was going through.

i was half way through replying last night then our mains fuse blew and the router went down. (i was on my laptop just went to battery mode), so i saved what I had and posted this morning

Odette felt really comfortable around this girl, she didn't know why but it was like she knew what she was going through. It was weird but in a good way, That was why she decided she might talk about Jayden to this girl. She felt as if she needed to tell her. "You learn healing spells fast when you fall all the time." She smiled at the girl, Elvera. "Elvera that's a interesting name." She smiled at her, "I'm Odette." Elvera asked if she wanted to get something to eat. It was a little early for lunch but Odette thought it would be better to talk somewhere more quiet. "Yes, we can go to a restaurant and talk there." Odette wanted to talk to this girl more, she seemed interesting, and Odette felt as if she could tell her anything. "My treat." She smiled at the girl, even if she wasn't living with her father she still had access to his money and he urged her to spend it. It was like he thought it could make up for everything. Odette only used it because it was available.
OOCOut of Character:
That's alright =)

Elvera nodded as Odette said that healing spells could be learned fast if they were needed enough. she would ask if she could show her sometime but Elvera Knew that she wasn't very good at spells, she preferred subtle magic like divination, runes and potions. "thanks Odette is a nice name too" she said feeling a bitter breeze sweep in along the street. "Smart idea, its a little nippy for conversations out here. there is a nice shop down there, it is technically an ice-cream shop but it does some nice snacks and drinks." she said, pointing towards a shop a little further down the road. "you don't have to pay for me, but thanks for offering." she said. she felt a connection with this girl and wanted to get to know her better.

Odette smiled, she had always loved her name. "That sounds nice." She said as they continued walking. She wasn't sure what she would get yet but after she got sad she often craved sweets so she thought it would be a good idea. Elvera said she didn't have to pay for her and Odette respected that. There were some people that insisted on paying for themselves. She knew she was probably going to spill her guts to Elvera, and she hoped she didn't mind. Odette just needed to tell someone and at the moment she didn't know many people here. "You may need to lead the way though, it's been 4 years since I was last here." Even though Odette new most of the streets and shops she didn't have a perfect memory. She had missed New Zealand a lot but she had gotten so sick her father had insisted she needed to stay home for a while. But it was so cold at home and she was cold enough without the weather on top of it.

Elvera nodded, "It is nice there, its where most of the students go when they are on their break and getting school supplies. she said picking up her bag and heading along the street towards the shop, in summer there were tables and chairs outside for people to sit at whilst they ate their ice cream and snacks but now the door was shut to keep out the wind. she started walking towards the shop and once she reached it she held open the door to let odette in. the inside was simple but it was warm and welcoming and smelt delicious. "what would you like and i'll order? she said passing Odette a menu.
OOCOut of Character:
sorry if i god moded a little but i always find it hard to rp people walking without doing so

Odette nodded, she remembered a coffee shop in France they served everything you could think of, all the students used it as there hang out when school was out. "It's nice that they have places like this to keep students occupied on break." She knew of how boring it could get if you had nothing to do when school was out. Odette walked in the door as Elvera held it, "Thanks." She smiled and took the menu, she didn't want to eat too much but she did want something. "I'll just have a muffin." Odette put the menu away. It was too cold for icecream in her mind and a muffin sounded good.
OOCOut of Character:
It's fine I understand that :)

Elvera went up to the counter and ordered the muffin and some millionaires shortbread and some hot chips. hen she headed back to Odette and took a seat at a table whilst the order was coming. "here is pretty nice, the sundaes here are to die for' she said licking her lips at the thought of them. "so what has been troubling you" she asked, hoping that she could make the girl feel better. she knew she didn't have as much practice at that as her mother did, who frequently talked to her customers about their problems but she hoped she could help this lady out.

Odette watched as Elvera gave their order to the cashier and come back. "I'll have to try one sometime." Odette did like icecream but she just hadn't felt like it today. Elvera got right to the point, what was bothering her. Odette contemplated easing into it, but she really couldn't find a way too. "My twin just died in a car accident." Odette just threw it out there. She knew it would be best to get it over with quickly. "I'm..." She paused trying to find the right words, "It's just we were identical, and we were never apart." Odette closed her eyes for a moment. She was finding the easy things in life hard to handle without Jayden. It was taking her long to adjust to not having her there all the time. Sometimes she even forgot for a moment and went to say something to her when no one was there.

Elvera was shocked when Odette said that she had just lost her twin in a car accident. she realised that that was what she had seen earlier. she put her arm round the girls shoulders in a way that she hoped would be comforting. "that must have been terrible" she said thinking what it must have been like. "i have a twin sister, and i cant imagine what it would be like if anything would happen to her." she said. realising that like most twins Odette had grown up with her sister, unlike her and eden who only met once they were both at school, and only found out they were twins during their graduation. just then the food arrived, two cakes and a large basket of chips. although she didn't feel hungary any more she took a chip and ate it before offering them to Odette "help yourself, i got them to share" she said trying to think of something comforting to say about her sister.

Odette was so glad Elvera was listening, and her arm really did help. Right now she was trying not to cry, she had on way to much makeup to cry in public. "You have a twin?" It was more of a rhetorical question, but she knew know Elvera could probably understand what was happening with her more than anyone. The food arrived at the table and Elvera offered her some chips. She didn't know how she could eat at a time like this but she did. Grabbing a chip she smiled meekly and said "Thank you." Odette thought again about the day, the day she had lost her. She really should have been in the car too. But Jayden had insisted she was too sick to go with that day. She had saw the whole thing happen, it had occurred only a little ways from their house.

Elvera realised that although she had a twin she didn't know what it was like to be particularly close to said twin. "yes i have a twin, but i am just getting used to the whole idea. we were separated at birth, and we only realised we were twins a couple of months ago. we have been friends for a few years though" she said, giving a brief summary of her life story. "how did it happen?" she asked hoping that it wasn't too much of a hurtful question. she smiled as she saw Odette having a chip.

Odette was shocked a little at Elvera's explanation. She couldn't imagine having a twin and not knowing till this late in life. "That's awful." She wondered exactly how it happened but didn't ask. "But it's good you found her." Then Elvera asked how it happened. It was really horrible. "Well we were at our house and we were going to be going to a friends birthday party. I was supposed to have been going to but I had had a seizure earlier that day, I'm the mirror twin and I've been an epileptic my whole life. So it was normal and Jayden said I couldn't go. I watched her leave and it wasn't a block after she turned out of the drive way that she was hit, straight on by a drunk driver." Odette let one tear fall that she quickly wiped away. "It was terrible, she died on contact but the other driver walked away with minor injuries. He's in jail of course, but that doesn't help any." She looked at Elvera, it was a sad story, everyone expected the she would be the first to pass, being a epileptic it was more likely she would have.

Elvera liked that odette thought that it was awful to have been separated from her twin at birth. "It it better to find your twin at eighteen than loose one. we were pretty close friends and then both eden and morgan had a vision which confirmed it, its a long story" she said. not wanting to take all of the attention with her life story. she was happy now, and that was all that mattered, the past happened for a reason and the future would take care of its self. however Odette story made her think that was something wrong with that philosophy as someones death was always hard, especially someone close. It was such a sad story she fault bad for anyone who had to go through that pain, "I am sorry. that must have been so horrible, and the drunk driver was not hurt. it seems so unfair." she said putting her arm around the girls shoulder. but i believe that everyones life is for a reason, Maybe Jayden had already done what she was meant to. I not it may not sound like much, but try not to morn that that you lost your twin, but celebrate that you had a twin, something amazing that very few people have the opportunity to experience." she said she hoped that she was making sense. she knew that she had a different outlook than most people and, if the same thing had happened to Eden or Lilith and someone told her that it shouldn't make her feel much better but different people felt and thought different things, so maybe it was the right thing to sat to odette.

Odette listened without speaking as Elvera spoke. She didn't understand everything at the beginning but her advice at the end really made her think. She should be happy for the years that she had with her sister. She knew anyone could go at any time, she was just having issues understanding why it had to be now and it had to be her sister. Plus the circumstances were certainly not fair, the most undeserving of the two the driver had survived. It made no sense to Odette. Then there was the fact that she should have been in the car too. She should have died that day, but here she was, fine besides her preexisting problems. Elvera's arm felt strong around her shoulders and she was grateful for the support of this stranger. She hardly knew Elvera and she was being so nice to her, listening to her problems and helping to try and help her get through them. "That really puts things into perspective doesn't it?" She looked over at Elvera, "I think I have a lot to think about now, thank you." She said sweetly.

Elvera was glad that Odette found some comfort from he words. she now understood why her mother helped her customers. it was a good feeling knowing that you positively changed someone's life even if it was just by a little bit. "don't mention it." she said as the girl thanked her. she had another mouthful of chips wanting to cover them in tomato ketchup, but she didn't as that was a very english thing to do, and many other people thought that it was odd. she then looked up at the girl and wondered if she had any plans for the day, or if she was just randomly meandering through the harbour. "would you like to go shopping this afternoon. I don't mind if you have other plans." she said.

Odette was glad that Elvera had enlightened her now that she thought about it she had many things to be thankful for. She knew that things would never be the same but maybe, if she tried she could be happy again. Elver asked her if she would like to go shopping, she really had nothing to do but unpack so she thought shopping would be a great alternative. "Shopping sounds great." Odette mustered up a smile, she could use some new things anyway. She had gotten rid of a lot of things, and the things she kept were in a hope chest along with Jayden's matches. They had worn a lot of matching outfits and Odette didn't feel right wearing them without her.

Elvera smiled, she would enjoy an afternoon of shopping like a normal teenager/young adult that she was. "I have to drop this back to Morgan in the eye, but it wont take long." she said gesturing to the bag of groceries at her feet. after that where do you want to go? here is obviously good, or we could go to Brightstone or Makatu, i'm happy ether way" she said. she took a bite of her cake, it was nice but her mother and grandmothers cakes were better, but then again she was probably a little bias.

Odette feeling much better now nibbled at a few chips. "That's fine and we can stay here if that's fine with you." She smiled at Elvera. Odette was taking her mind off all the sad things, she needed to try and move on. She knew this was going to be difficult. But today at least she wanted to try and have fun shopping with Elvera. She was glad to have stumbled into that wall, because even thought she was younger this girl had helped her so much, and she didn't know if she could ever repay her for what she had done.
OOCOut of Character:
I'm sorry forgot about this :(

Elvera smiled "here is good, but morgan will probably want her food, and other supplies so i will have to nip back to drop it off. i wont be a minute." she said standing up. taking one last chip she left the shop. once she was on the road she walked a few meters down the street before turning on the spot and vanishing. instently she felt the wind stop as the appeared in the mall. she took the familiar ruit to the inner eye. "hey morgan. I've got your shopping. but if it os okay with you, i need to head back to the harbour to spend the afternoon shopping with a friend" she said she said to her mother. "thats okay, and thanks for dropping the stuff back. Have a good time" came her mothers reply.
once she had but the food in the back room and flicked her wand to send the shopping away, she headed back out of the shop and turned around again, the cold breeze much less welcoming than the mall. she hurried back to the shop empty handed and went back inside, to the sweet smell of food. "sorry about that" she said reclaiming her seat. she had a couple more chips and then had some of her cake. "so, is there anything specific you want to get" she asked, wondering where they should head.
