Sky and Eugene had been discussing ideas for what to do with the club. It was always a bit difficult as there was so much variety in members. There was a fairly large split between the visual arts fans and the audio arts fans. Something the last leader had tried to bridge by adding the role of music meistro which had worked well when the leader had been a painter but as she and eugene were primeraly musicians it was sometimes hard to find the right balance and not ignore or overcompensate other areas. She hoped that the even today would find a good balance. she had ordered the music boxes, and they had arrived the previous week. After a little time playing with them and working out how to get them to work the best, they had scheduled the meeting.
Sky stood in the main room of the arts club. the boxes on a table behind her. and a selection of paints and other craft items that could be glued onto the boxes on the big long table in front of her. she waited for people to arrive, looking over to Eugene and smiling. Glad that they had chosen this, as it felt right. Once it was the time for the club to start, and she was pretty sure most people had arrived, she played a note on her viola, which she had at hand for the day's activity in order to get people's attention. "Good afternoon. Welcome to the conglomerated arts club meeting. she said, looking around. "Today we are working on music boxes. we have enough for you each ot have one which you can keep, or they would make a nice gift," she said before picking up one of the wooden boxes, which was about the size of a small tissue box. "these boxes can record music, or other sound and will play it back each time they are opened," she said. opening the one she was holding which is the one she had been practising with. it started playing music. a song she remembered her mum playing on her violin but this was lower and transposed for viola "you probably also agree that the boxes aren't much to look at, which is why we have things to decorate them. I have a few boxes with some popular songs recorded on them if anyone wants to just focus on decorating, and i have a few pre-painted if you want to mostly focus on music. though you may want to personalise them," she said, gesturing to the smaller stacks of boxes at the end of the table her paint jobs were not what could be described as comprehensive, mostly block colours, some with a few simple shapes on them but she was not the best at painting, and it would be better for people to add what they wanted to make it feel like theirs. she looked over to Eugene. "do you have anything else to add?" she asked. Letting him finish off the introduction before people got to work.

Please wait for Emzies to post with Eugene before posing; basically have fun. decorate boxes or practice and record music for them. You are welcome to tag niamh or Eugene for help

Eugene had thought this was a rather sweet idea for the arts club, some music boxes that would be able to combine most of the things that this club did. Music and art. He had helped get things ready and had taken a bit of time to make sure that they'd be able to put the music into the boxes, and that instruments were ready. But soon enough everyone was there.

Eugene nodded along as Niamh spoke. He made sure to keep track of all she was saying to that he could pick up anything she could end up missing. But she didn't. He shook his head. "Once the box is finished and you've picked what music you want, please flag it to me, so we can get the music captured in isolation, you don't want to hear in the music box the sound of the rest of the room," was all he said before motioning for everyone to get started.

Dahlia didn't know why she even bothered being disappointed at this point. She'd joined the arts club, but apparently it was only really music and art. It didn't seem like anyone was at all interested in drama. And while she was passable as a musician (in that she could hold a tune) and could do kind of basic drawings, neither music or art were really things she was passionate about. Maybe she should quit it, she thought, but as though she needed more reasons to be antisocial. She picked up one of the pre-painted boxes, humming a couple of songs quietly as she sat in a corner spot, trying to think of one she wanted to use.

Oz felt pretty overwhelmed in club meetings, but he knew he was good enough at art to get away with just focusing on what he could do. If people focused on his skills in a way that wasn't kind of...sympathetic? He was happy enough with it. He knew he had a lot to learn, too, but it all came down to practice. He took some safety tools to carve something into the box without breaking it, though he wasn't quite sure what to carve. He figured he should try and listen to the music on a few to pick something he enjoyed and then would try and make something to match, picking colours to suit when he decided. Though he pulled the boxes close to his ear without pushing his hair back, not wanting people to notice his ears.

Renata always enjoyed going to the arts club, even if she wasn't very artistic or musical she certainly enjoyed being part of it. Especially since her best friend and her boyfriend were in charge of the club, she felt like it was important for her to be there. And while she thought she would like either of them to have a music box she put together, she figured it wouldn't be that much of a surprise or a thoughtful gift if either of them had to do half the work to making it. So instead, Renata decided she'd try and make one for her father. He was far more artistically minded than she was so most of what she'd be able to make would be kind of sad looking, but she hoped he'd like it anyway. She knew there were a couple of classic Weird Sisters songs he might like and that the musicians would probably be able to put together easily. Renata picked up some paints and some little sequin like things to stick on and headed over to the club leaders. She knew they'd both be busy but certainly wanted to say hi. "This is so clever!" she exclaimed, beaming. "You are both really great at this."

Mish supposed he enjoyed the art meetings, it was a nice excuse to bust out his guitar and play some tunes. He didn't much care about the other stuff, so he didn't really pay all too much attention to what the two leaders were saying. Instead, he was quick to wandered off to an open space once everyone else started moving, swinging his guitar around and plucking aimlessly at the strings for a moment as he took a glance of the room. "If anyone want's me ta record somethin' for 'em, just gimmy a holla."
