Oh this is based on my thoughts that the U.S Department of Mysteries would be sort of like the CIA of the wizarding world. Ok the run though of the story is that Alex got burned (a sort of fired where she is cut off from everything even a lot of her identity) in the middle an operation to uncover a U.S faction of Death Eaters that was starting to grow. Then she woke up in New Zealand with her brother.

What I need is people that would help her other than her brother on trying to find out who burned her, the actual person who had Alex burned along with the reason for needing her away from the ministry, a couple of enemies that might think Alex is fair game now that she no longer has the protection of the U.S and (If it's allowed) maybe some clients that might need Alex's help.

(I'm also putting this up for the Amins to see and approve.)
 
I read this and it sounded quite interesting, though couldn't the U.S department of mysteries be something like the wizarding world secret service , I think That more fits but It is up to whoever makes it and approves it :)
 
I would be something like that. Of course there is the whole wands and spells thing but I would think it would need some sort of intelligence gathering. If not they would be Aurors.
 
I think it would be the DE's that would want Alex out of the Department of Misteries in the first place so year I need them. So far it's shaping out like this. Thanks people I really needed something to do with the adult carcters I have ^_^

My name is Alexandra Bones I used to be a spy for the Ministry of magic and then I got burned. When your burned you have no bank account, no job history, no assets nothing. So you do whatever work come your way and realiey on whoever still talking to you. A friend who is also part of the Ministry, an ex-enemy with a dubble personality, and a brother who is keeping tabs on you for the Ministry. In short until you find out who burned you, your not going anywhere.
 
Erm well I suppose if you would like more DE's to participate, assuming of course this is approved then its probably best to pm Julian Faulkner with the details ;)

Is this storyline strikingly familiar to that of the Bourne series with Matt Damon? ;)
 
Only Alex has all of her memories and Alex can not leave New Zealand.
 
I think that this could be a potential plot, but I think that this needs to be more thoroughly discussed. And most importantly of all, it needs to be admin approved.
 
The Department of Mysteries isn't really like the CIA.
The Department of Mysteries does research on magic and its property. I've always thought of them as like magical scientists. Just by the type of rooms they have in their department we know they're not like the CIA.
If you're looking for CIA like stuff that'd probably be more Auror. ;)
 
Your right. It will change that but still do I get aproved?
 
I really don't understand much of the plot at all.
What do American Aurors have to do with anything? Who /did/ burn her? What was she trying to do? Where is she employed? How does a fire make her forget stuff?
 
Someone from here burned her. That's what I'm looking for the person that burned her and why Alex wouldn't know herself would she?

She didn't forget. Basicly she was let go but it doesn't work that way in the American system. When they let go Aurors like her they cut her off compleatly basicly erase eveything she was so that there was no proof that she did any of the things she would say she did. As to why she was dumped in New Zealand it would be up to the person who is saying they burned her.

She was getting to close to something over there I would assume again it will need to be talked about.
 
Well, I've discussed this with Cecily and I think I'm going to have to say no to the plot.
There are a few reasons, but the main one boils down to the fact that this would be a huge plot, and it'd be a lasting site one.
HNZ has had a few smaller site-wide plots, but no giant site-wide plots that would affect most characters and the 'history' of the site/New Zealand Wizarding community forever. An international dispute involving an American conspiracy of sorts isn't something we think HNZ needs.
If you want to know the rest of our reasoning feel free to PM me about it.
If you want to rethink this plot and have it on a much smaller scale with more complete ideas to it we'd be willing to discuss it with you again.
Also, I was unaware that Alex was an American Auror. :blink: At any rate, that doesn't matter.
