Malachi hadn't moved since his twin brother had entered the house. He just stood, leaning against the wall on the opposite side of the room, arms crossed, and a scowl on his face.

Disgusting. That's the only way you could describe Peyton. He glowered as his parents welcomed him though, hugging him as if they actually loved him... How could anyone love a death eater?

He'd been at his parents' house for all of half an hour and already Malachi was plotting his escape. The less time he had to spend around his sick brother, the better. But when his glare was met by Peyton's, Malachi forgot about his escape. He hated his twin but he was not about to leave his parents because of something so trivial. At this point, Malachi still cared for his parents more than he hated his brother. So instead he decided to settle for just pissing off his brother and trying to make him look bad in front of his parents. Sure, it was childish, but it was Malachi's goal to get their parents to see who Peyton really was.

So Malachi greeted his twin with, "Hey, is that a bit of blood I see on your shirt?" Followed by a smirk which was a mixture of a forced smile and a scowl.

Peyton had decided to move back in with his parents since he was having a hard time finding a job. Honestly he had wanted to move back ever since he had moved out. No bills, good food, and two parents who pretty much worships the ground you walked on? Who wouldn't want to move back. He walked through the door whistling a little tune as he went. He had just spent the night with a girl and he was ready to rub it in his twins face. It was a shame though that he had to leave her alive, but her husband would have started poking around if his wife mysteriously disappeared. Almost on que Peyton's mother and father stepped into the room and greeted him with adoring hugs. Ah home. I love it here. he though patting his mother on the back. "Hey guys, sorry I'm just getting back now. I was pretty drunk and didn't want to trouble you." Peyton said putting on his best perfect son act. They knew there son was a death eater, but they didn't know about his little side projects. The only people who knew about the little bone yard he had in his room was him, and a few unfortunate house elves who had stumbled upon it one day.

Once his parents had made sure he was feeling okay they left the room to get some drinks for the boys and themselves. Now it was time for the fun to begin. Peyton looked down at his shirt when his twin commented on it. Peyton looked Malachi right in the eyes, a little smirk plastered on his face. "Why yes, yes it is. I was with a girl last night." Peyton said trying to really get on his nerves. "I've noticed you've looked a little upset, whats wrong, get a girl pregnant?... Oh wait, thats impossible." He knew it was cruel, and thats what he loved about it. Malachi was perfect in every way and Peyton hated it. Why had he been the sick messed up boy and not his brother? So of course Peyton has to make him feel horrible everyday about the one thing that was wrong with him.

Malachi found his brother's act with his parents simply gag-worthy. How could his own mother be so blind? It was despicable how Peyton used them... He was stupid, blood-thirsty, and a freaking death eater for god's sake. But his brother was sick, and so their parents couldn't possibly leave him. Instead they cherised him, ignoring the son who truly did care about them and their well-being.

When their parents left the room, Malachi knew that the battle was on. Granted, he had started it and he deserved whatever kind of verbal abuse that his brother threw at him. His stomach twisted though, when his brother said that he'd been with a girl last night. His mind immediatly conjured up the image of a mangled girl tied to his twins bed, her nearly disembodied head lolling to the side... Fighting back the nausea, Malachi shot back at him, "I was with a girl last night too, the only difference is that we could have another night together if I wanted to..."

He wasn't prepared for his brothers comeback though. He went right for Malachi's weak point, pointing out his infertility. "Shut the f*** up." Malachi couldn't help it. His brother had crossed a line there, as he always did. Malachi clenched his fists and tried to fight off the urge to cross the room and pummel his useless brother. His control crumbled though when he saw his twin's smug face. He cleared the room in a couple strides, bringing his fist back and slamming it into his twin's face.

"Little Malachi had a date? How cute. I'll have you know I could have another night with my girl too. I really didn't feel like dealing with a grief stricken husband" Peyton replied casually, as if killing two people meant nothing to him at all. It didn't of course, but the casual way he spoke of it would have given any normal person chills. Peyton's cold laugh rang through the room when his brother told him to shut up. This is by far one of his favorite pass times. As Malachi ran towards him Peyton raced himself for the impact. He knew he would never be able to beat his brother when it came to physical strength or speed. As soon as Malachi's fist connected with Peyton's face there was a loud cracking sound and extreme pain. Blood gushed from Peyton's nose as tears welled up in his eyes from the pain. "You ****ing broke my nose!" Peyton growled whipping out his wand. Peyton was about to curse his brother into a million little pieces when there parents came running into the room after hearing the commotion.

"Boys stop this right now!" Abigail Sabrina Wilson screamed running to her younger son's side. "Here sweetie let mommy fix that." she said pulling out her wand and fixing her babies nose and cleaning up the blood. Peyton complained that he was old enough to take care of himself but she didn't really care. He would always be her baby. "Malachi how could you? You know your brother is frail!" she added as she placed her hands on her hips and turned to her other son. She loved Malachi just as much as she loved Peyton, but she felt guilty for the way Peyton turned out so she tended to treat him better. Noah however placed a hand on his older sons shoulder and took his side. "Now darling, you know Peyton has a habit of egging Malachi on. He shouldn't take all the blame." Noah added on. He was always a little more fair when it came to the boys. "But, you are to never fight family under this roof" Noah finished the conversation.

"Yes really Kai, you really shouldn't pick on someone weaker then you" Peyton said glaring at his brother while his mothers back was turned away. "I'm very sorry Mom and Dad, I'll try not to start anymore fights. Its just so hard to get along with a brother who goes against everything this family stands for and apply's for a job as an auror" Peyton sneered. The idea of being related to anyone who had anything to do with the aurors made him sick. The family had been built on serving the dark lord, and Malachi was an embarrassment to him as well as there extended family.

"Oh, so you're going after cougars now... I guess its okay for somebody like you to have low standards..." How could you go after somebody's freaking wife!? Malachi didn't even think it was possible, but his opinion of his brother was dropping even further. He really was the scum of the world...

Malachi had thought that he would feel guilty after hitting his twin, but the cracking bones under his fist actually felt good. It went against everything that Malachi stood for, and yet hurting his twin felt so fulfilling. He didn't even flinch when his brother pulled out a wand; he just brought his fist back and prepared to hit him again. His mother's voice quickly made him stop though. He really cared about his mother, and he loved his parents. He didn't want them to hate him. Malachi scowled as Abigail rushed to Peyton's aid though. Why the hell is she taking his side? He could feel his anger building up inside him, bringing him to the point where he was almost trembling with rage. His father's touch managed to calm him slightly though. It reminded him of who he truly was, or wanted to be. The kind of person who would never lay a hand against somebody else.

Malachi responded to Noah's scolding with, "Yes father, I'm sorry." He really wasn't, he was glad tht he had hit Peyton. Somebody had to knock some sense into that snot-nosed brat. But he knew that all his parents wanted to hear was an apology, so that was what he gave them. He resisted giving his brother another big "F*** you," in response to his teasing, but resisted because of his father's presence at his side. Instead he simply glared at Peyton, willing his head to just spontaneously combust. Malachi fought back the bile that rose in his throat as his brother sucked up to their mother. It was simply despicable how he used his own parents.

Malachi's face dropped when his auror application came up though. He hadn't broken the news to his parents yet, because he was afraid to see what their reaction would be. He had always worked hard to please his parents and he tried not to go against them, even if it meant going against his beliefs. He just couldn't bring himself to serve the dark lord though, the thought of killing people made Malachi ill. Instead of trying to explain this though, Malachi glared at his brother and said, "One of these days your gonna end up in Azkaban, and I'm gonna be the one who put you there." He fully intending on going through with this threat one day. Malachi didn't care what his parents thought or what kind of punishment he recieved for saying this to their beloved son. It was simply the truth.

Peyton simply rolled his eyes when his brother said that he would be the one to put him away in Azkaban. "Oh and just how do you plan to accomplish that? With your fists?" Peyton asked gripping his wand tightly. Magic could beat muggle fighting any day. Yes Malachi could duel, but Peyton knew things Kai wouldn't even dare read about. His years of homeschooling had payed off and in the end Peyton just knew more then any regular student would.

Abigail couldn't believe what she was hearing when Peyton announced that Malachi had submitted an application as an Auror. All these years she had been letting the boy slip through the cracks was finally coming back to bite her in the ass. "Malachi how could you?" She asked tearfully. "You know there are people in this family who would kill you if they found out, and they will find out!" the distraught woman added on. Her oldest baby was as good as dead. However what came out of her sons mouth next sent her over the edge and she fainted. Abigail had always been weak due to her families 'background'. Noah just stood there contemplating what was going on during the whole exchange. If his son wanted to through away his life then so be it. He wasn't going to make an emotional display about it like his wife. When she fainted he just managed to catch her and lay her gently on the floor.

Peyton watched his mother faint and facepalmed.

Wow that is the lamest reply ever :p

Malachi had failed to think of how the rest of his family would react to his future as an auror. There certainly would be people of his own blood who would come after him... But it was too late to back out of it now, he had already applied, and he sure as hell was not about to bail and switch over to the dark side. Freaking death eaters, why did they have to act so superior and clique-ish all the time. Why couldn't they just allow a guy to be an auror? Sure they were enemies, but what the hell did that mean. Malachi tried to find a way to put all of this into words to explain it to his mother, but he just couldn't. It was beyond explaining.

When his mother fainted though, he didn't want to say or do anything, because he didn't want to make the situation worse; he didn't move to help his mother, because he felt as though, at this point, his mother wouldn't want his help.

Malachi simply couldn't kill people like she wanted him to as a death eater though, and for that he had no excuse. If being an auror meant having his whole family hate him, so be it: he would rather die than kill another innocent being. Key word; innocent. Malachi would gladly kill anybody who dared to lay a hand against another person, anybody who called themselves a death eater, and anybody who went by the name of Peyton Wilson. He didn't care if Peyton knew more about the dark arts than him, or even if he had a pack of death eaters protecting him: Peyton had to sleep sometime...

At this thought, Kai's lip twitched, threatening to curl up into a smirk. It had been the only form of movement he had made since his mother had fainted, and it kind of sickened him. Why the hell was he smirking when his mother was passed out on the floor and his dad was so dissapointed he was beyond words? But he wasn't taking back what he had said; Malachi had meant it and his parents would just have to accept it. So all Malachi could bring himself to do now, was to clench his fist and look away from his family. Look to the wall, look to the floor, look to the front door. Look anywhere but at the dissappointed faces of his parents, and the hideous face of his twin.

It was all Peyton's fault, Malachi wasn't sure how, but somehow it all circled back to Peyton. After all, everything that was wrong in Kai's life was Peyton's fault...
