Celyn was bored. Though with someone like him, it was easy to be. After all with someone with as short of an attention span as his, one just couldn't find himself with enough to do to keep preoccupied. Today he had already went on a bike ride, played with his cousins, and even (attempted to) read a book. He did like reading but not in large amounts by any means at all. It took him a while to get into a book and for that reason it seemed that sometimes school just proved to be a chore.

Taking a pair of keys into his hand, the boy walked out of his house and decided to go for a walk. It had become chilly in New Zealand at this point, and Celyn could tell. Instead of his usual habit of just walking out, he actually had to wear a sweatshirt and jeans instead of shorts. Sweatshirt or not, that wouldn't stop him from walking. It was one of the few things that he found solace in doing during the evening.

Though part of him, he found, wanted some company tonight. He didn't have much on his mind but some company would be nice for the sake of conversation. Maybe he could even meet some people before he was shipped off to a school he didn't even know much about. Though the probability of meeting someone like him where he lived just seemed nothing short of impossible. He had only made acquaintance with one girl, and it seemed to be awkward. So no matter the situation he just started to lose hope in the prospect of a friend. So now he just walked around, happy that the street lamps were lit.

It was dark, and even darker because of the moon being covered by the clouds that night. The street lamps were bright, however, and the leaves cast off a magical glow from the lights. Baralyth swished through a pile of leaves as he walked down the sidewalk, kicking almost merrily, his mind lost like it always was in some thought away from the world. In his life he had never had much social contact, but after receiving the invitation to Hogwarts, he had been going out constantly. He was afraid that some words may slip from his lips on accident, and cause a rise of questioning from his parents.

He had made a new friend since he began going out, and had met a few other people, but he was unsure about whether they were 'friends' or not. For somebody who grew up alone in a lab filled with dead human specimens, and artificial limbs and organs, meeting so many people in such a short time was a blessing. He didn't think his parents would say yes to him going to a boarding school they'd never heard of, especially since he had always been home tutored, but with a clever lie, and some computer tech knowledge, he made the school believable, and got their permission to go. He smiled as he thought about his cleverness as he walked down the street with a smirk on his face.

Always clumsy, and never one to be paying attention to his surroundings, he never saw it coming. Rushing down the street as if he needed to be somewhere as soon as possible, but only lost in a train of thought, he didn't see the random root sticking out of the sidewalk a few yards in front of him and about ten yards ahead of that a lone boy. He had both of his hands in his pockets, and his right leg hit the branch mid-step. He fell forward, and without even being able to switch from thinking mode to 'catch your fall' mode in time, he fell forward, his face smashing against the ground. He lay unconscious, and blood trickled from his broken nose.
