The open breeze the quidditch pitch allowed, was quite refreshing. It was spring, and summer was right around the corner. The temperature was just right, with a slight wind wiping against the pores of your skin. It just allowed enough, that it was rejuvenating. The quidditch teams were practicing and many other students, like Monty, were standing around watching as they did their homework.

Monty was just wearing his basic clothing. He didn't have much to do on this day. Monty had already finished his class homework and was simply enjoying the suns rays. Spring was always beautiful, to Monty. He appreciated the flowers that bloomed in spring time. But, he wasn't the person to skip and pick flowers. Monty just liked the view of how the flowers rested in the air.

Monty watched the quidditch teams endlessly, as some would practice lift off, and some making sharp turns. He had nothing planned and just waited for someone. Not knowing who, but he waited.

Do you mind if i join? :)
Lauren decided to go some place she had never been before, somewhere where she wouldnt find people studying for no reason like ravenclaw tower. At first it was ok, but now its just annoying.

She found: The Quidditch pitch. There was people practising Quidditch, all different skills. Some were really good & some were learning. Lauren longed for the day when she would be that good at Quidditch, she really liked Quidditch. She even has a tryout for her school team.

Suddenly Lauren noticed a boy, who looked like a first year. He was looking at the people playing Quidditch like Lauren. While approaching him Lauren asked: "Do you like Quidditch then? Only I noticed you looking at them" she pointed to the people on brooms & smiled.

Monty was still enjoying the sun and the temperature that spring had brought on its arrival. Still admiring the students on their brooms and showing unbelievable skill. He began to daydream a bit, and pictured himself as a seeker. He had keen eyes for the position, but Monty still had no experience on a broom. Which put a speed bump in his dreams. He knew someday, he'd be up there winning the House Cup for Gryffindor.

"Do you like Quidditch then? Only I noticed you looking at them" A girl said.

Monty shook himself from his unrealistic dreams and looked over at the girl. The girl seemed to be in the same year as him, but he wasn't sure unless he asked.

"Oh, yes. I love the idea of flying. Putting it in a sport, like Quidditch, is just amazing." Monty said, as he still watched the students sailed through the sky. He rotated his body to face the girl, as he stood up.

"I'm Monty Phoenix." Monty said, as he lent his hand out for a friendly shake. He waited a few seconds for the girl to introduce herself, as Monty did.

Yea, your fine. Just trying to get some relationships. :)

Lauren shook Monty's hand. "Hi Monty, i'm Lauren. I agree Quidditch is an amazing sport" she smiled.

"Have you thought of trying out for your house team?" Lauren asked wondering if she was being a bit too forward. She turned to watch the students flying. In a couple of years that could be me Lauren thought liking the idea.

Monty listened closely as she stated her name was, Lauren. He watched again, as the students on their brooms zoomed by. Monty didn't want to join the Quidditch Team for Gryffindor just yet. He wanted to pass his Flying Class first. Before he even attempted to be on a broom in a sport, or in front of thousands.

"Have you thought of trying out for your house team?" Lauren asked.

"I would, but I want to make sure my skills on a broom are up to par." Monty stated, as he appeared to have some eagerness in his voice.

He knew he'd have his opportunity someday, just not right now. He would enjoy being the Seeker for Gryffindor. But at the moment, it was only a dream.

Lauren listened to Monty, she had to agree. To be on the Quidditch team you did need to be good.

Lauren's face fell she had signed up to be on the team, but she didnt know how good she was. stupid! Lauren thought to herself. i'll never be as good as the people in older years

"So how did you find the first flying lesson of the year?" Lauren asked wondering how well other people's lesson went,

Monty knew you had to have some skill; well at least to be good, you did. He was sure he had seen something mentioning that you had to be a second year or higher in order to join the team. Monty began to ponder the idea. If you were able to fly, you should be able to join the team.

"So how did you find the first flying lesson of the year?" Lauren asked. As Lauren asked this, it broke Monty's train of thought. He began to think about his flying lesson. Even though the broom didn't go to his hands after the first try. It did go to his hands on the second try. Monty also didn't like the fact that they didn't get to fly on the first day, but you must learn to walk before you can fly.

"It was good. But, I wanted to fly." Monty said, with a bit of disappointment in his tone.

"What about you?" Monty asked

Lauren thought about her first lesson. It went extremely well, the broom went up on her first try. "Yeah, it went well, i cant wait till we get to actually fly though" Lauren smiled. "But i would rather learn the basics before i go flying incase something bad happens. Knowing me, i'll probably fall off the broom" Lauren said with a little laugh.

He was pretty sure his next lesson would involve some flying; at least we could hover on the brooms next class. But, he also realized they were first years as well. He listened as Lauren explained her reasons.

"But i would rather learn the basics before i go flying in case something bad happens. Knowing me, i'll probably fall off the broom" Lauren said with a little laugh. Monty followed her as well with a small giggle.

"Yea knowing me I'd probably crash into something." Monty said.
