Teddy had agonized over the lead up for the Yule Ball, and the whole blind date event with the Brotherhood had only made his nerves even more fried. He'd thought it sounded like a fun way to get to know people, but he was now having doubts and almost wished he hadn't signed up because now he couldn't just back out. He had opted to wait outside the hall for Thalia so he'd at least have some kind of warning about what he was about to walk into. Peering into the decorated room, Teddy gulped and backed away from the entrance. Teddy didn't particularly like crowds on a normal day, but tonight felt so much more overwhelming and he already felt nervous enough without having to worry about more people around. He pulled at a loose thread of his robes that he'd somehow missed and wished he had more confidence in using a severing charm to fix it. There'd been a package from home that he knew contained a brand new set of dress robes waiting for him earlier, but Teddy had instead opted to sew his own for the night. His curiosity to see what the latest formalwear fashions were had thankfully been overridden by common sense of avoiding the haircut charms that were undoubtedly laced into the "gift". Teddy would much rather have been wearing pyjamas, but he supposed he had to put in at least some amount of effort if he was going to push through the night.
