Bright Yellow

Kauri recognised the next person on his list as well, she was a Slytherin prefect. That made things easier. Basket in hand, Kauri made his way down to the dungeons, looking around for the recipient of his next delivery. He had been wandering back and forth for a while when he spotted a familiar head of blonde hair heading in the opposite direction. Finally! "Charlotte!" He called, hurrying over to the older girl. "I've got a rose delivery for you!"

It had been quite a long day and Charlotte was excited to get back to her dormitory for a good rest. As she made her way to the dungeons, she was stopped by a smaller Gryffindor who approached her. "A rose? What colour?" Charlotte asked, hoping that it was a red one from Daniel. After all, he hadn't given her a rose yet and it was almost the end of the day.

Kauri beamed, relieved to have found the right person so quickly. "Yellow." He said happily, pulling the rose and its card from his basket. "Happy Valentines Day!" He gave Charlotte a bright smile, handing over her rose and message.

Charlotte was delighted about receiving another rose, but she felt her heart sink when she saw its yellow petals, realising that Dan had not given her one. Nonetheless, Charlotte opened up the note and was glad to see that it was from Cairo. The girl hadn't thought of sending a rose to him but made sure that she would say a special thank you to him later. "Thanks." she said to her rose deliverer. "Happy Valentine's Day to you too."
