Ai was sitting under the shade of a very thick tree with a black vail over her stark white face that came from a wide brimed hat. she had on white leggings and a black bag like dress with black dress shoes and a light white shirt under the dress. There was no expression on the face that could be seen though the vail as she read a thick tomb about the thiory of Dark Arts. She wasn't allowed the books that told of the mechanics but still it was intresting to her to read about what it was possable to do if one let simple things like morality go.

Ai for one didn't know why they had to care how they got power as long as it was gotten. So what if you had to step on a few people to do it. She kept her mind on what she was reading though it was partcurly sunny day out. She hated it. She wished for clouds so she could leave the hat and vale behind. Still she was tired of the Common room with all the common dunder heads that had made it into Ravenclaw too. If she where the hat she would have placed the lot of them in Hufflepuff. Well maybe not the lot of them. One of her room mates was actually someone she could talk to. Ai turned the page calmly reading of the effects of the Caticus Curse. Like she needed to read about them to know them. Her grandmother had not hesetations about using it on her everytime she thought that she was misbehaving.

[if you dont want Sam joining I can take out the post ^_^ ]

Sam was taking a walk, like most of the days lately, it had been sunny. He was starting to get quite a tan, as he had enjoyed escaping the common room, to the outdoors. Today he was venturing to The Hogwarts Gardens, just for something different. He was just waking along almost admiring flowers that his Mum would have loved. Looking away from the different plants, he spotted a girl, who he had recognised from Ravenclaw. She was reading a rather large book, Sam looked at it curiously wondering what it was about. Not wanting to be rude, he said stopped beside her

"Hi" he paused, then added "Whats the book?"

Ai turned the page and didn't look up at the boy. Her cold nature could make even the warmest day feel like midwinter. He was just foutunet that Ai thought it a waist of her time to stop reading. "The Dark Arts and thier Place in the Magical World." She rattled off the title of the book in her flat toneless voice. There was no reason for Ai to place any emotion in her voice at the time. The boy had not given her a reason to. Just from hearing him Ai could tell she was dealing with one of the better-off-in-hufflepuffs that she had been thinking about not too long ago. Still she had to bare it, he was a Ravenclaw of that much she was certen.

After speaking with her Mama and Jaken Styx, Avrille Grinaes walked out of the Hogwarts Castle with frustration. As she walked by other first years, second years and even third years scattered away from her walking path. Your new siblings are Vladimir and Zinaida, Avrille's mind repeated with anger. Her harlequin green eyes flashed with hatred as she walked into the Gardens and saw someone there, two someones actually.

Avrille tucked her curled black pixie hair cut behind her ear and walked towards the pair. She recognized the girl with eyes like ice, but not the boy. She hissed at the boy, before taking a seat on a bench. Her bright green eyes glared at the boy, he looked about her age, but of course she was much smaller then the normal twelve year old. "Hello Ai," she said with a snake like whisper to her voice.

Ai looked up at Avrille. The hissing had actually gotten her attention. "What is your problem?" She asked putting the smallest amount of stress on the word your. To most it would have sounded like she was challenging them but really she was asking what was wrong with them then could possibly compare with what wrong with her. She caught sight of the boy while looking up. "This is Sam Moore in our year and house." She said her voice not wavering from it's icy monotone. Ai now knew that he would ask how she could possibly know who he was if they had never met. Ai had a brain like a computer and had taken in the names and faces of all the kids that had gone thought the Sorting Ceremony. The older students she had looked up.

Sam had been silent just watching and listening to the two girls, he gave a small nod when Ai - he had figured it was her name - introduced him to the girl. He couldn't help feeling a little out of place as both girls were almost mean and imatating. But not that mean and imatating, he could, of course, handle it. He couldn't help wonder why there was no feeling in Ai's voice, and how the other girl hissed when she had spoken. Deciding he should speak, he looked into the girls green eyes

"Nice to meet you"

Avrille spared Ai a glance as she asked what was wrong with her. "The babies," she said in a monotone. It was obvious to anyone that paid a speck of attention that Rosaline was pregnant, and that she and Rosaline were related, through adoption anyway. She felt no need to say anything more on the subject in front of this boy, because Ai knew the basics. She knew that, like Hadan, she didn't want a family.

With an intimidating glare, Avrille's harlequin eyes ran over to Sam Moore's. She was not at all impressed with how he held himself; she was rarely impressed actually. "We'll see," she said icily, not unlike the Girl with Eyes like Ice's voice, in response to the Brown Boy.

Sam raised an eyebrow at the girl and didn't say anything. He already didn't like her and her harlequin eyes, especially the way she thought she was so superior. He held his siniggering smile in not to agitate the girl. Sam was usually a nice guy, but the Moore family were known for sticking up for themselves and others when needed to. But he didn't feel like a fight today.

Ai's lip twisted a bit in distaise but bore with it. Sam didn't seem to be so bad after all. Most people would have been put off by thier unwelcoming nature though Sam chose to stay. That had to be something. No thoughts reflected across Ai's mask like yet some what pretty face. Though twelve years old there was some beauty to her though she still had the box like figure of a child.

"Unfourtunet. Young children are... Unsettling to say the least. Not that I'm complaining I am an only child as of the start of this year." She said with no emotion. If she was at all upset about her twin's death it was locked up tight in her heart. The only person she even thought about showing emotion to was Aleyha because Ai knew she would understand. The thought came across that maybe she should make the effort to meet more people. It was followed by the thought that most people where idiots compared to her and that she did not need to make that kind of effort. Her books where more than enough company.

Sam found Ai's last comment, well, interesting. Sam didnt really like death, it had really screwed up his family. Especially as his Dad had gone off with that lady, what was her name again? He wasn't in the mood to remember. An image of his dead mother, the smell of her blood, the stains of her blood, flashed in his head. He kept his face in total posture, and only if you could look into his eyes you could read the sadness, fear and anger. Wiping it out of his mind he focused on a particular flower, then looking up at Ai he continued listening.

Ai looked at Sam, her eyes as cold as ever. She had stopped feeling a long time ago. Since her parents died. Her grandmother had gone though great langthes to teach Ai that feelings where a weakness. "It's better than being hollow." She said looking into Sam's eyes. There was nothing there. It must have been like staring into a long since frozen over lake with no life hidden under the ice. Desolet and alone. Ai looked at the person she could consiter a friend next. "Anyway best not think about family Avrille I tend not to even on the worst of days." She droned on the flipped a page. Alchemaic symboles embronzed the page. If Ai did or did not understand them there was no sign on that evern steady face.

Sam shrugged his shoulders, his hands in his pockets.

"Easy for some, I guess" he mumbled.
