Brain Overload

Storm smiled to himself. "I asked why youi wear those things." He said, pointing to her clothes.

Taylor blushed. "What clothes?" She let out a laugh. "Wouldnt it be easier if we didnt have to." Shaking her head she took a quick breath. "I dont really know." Taylor said honestly. Why did they wear clothes? It was such a natural thing to do she never really thought she would ever be faced with that question. "Decency?" She said awlwardly, turning her face upwards and swimming along underwater facing upwards.

Storm was kind of hurt by her comment.
"So..I'm not..decent?" He asked, His musical tone sadder now

Taylor chuckled and stopped her swimming to take a breath then look seriously at Storm. "I didnt mean to offend you, its clearly a different situation. You have a tail." She nodded towards it. "Its pretty much like built in clothing." She realised she didnt make the situation better, but she tried.

Storm's face went red, Then, suddenly, He burst out laughing.
"Built in clothing, That's funny." He said, his laughing settling down to a chuckle.

Taylor felt her own blush rise and began swimming around again as a distraction. "Oh, well i dont know." She laughed herself. "Whats it like to be a merman?" She asked him upside down.

Storm looked at her, trying to answer her question. "Well...It's..normal." He said, Not knowing what else to say.

Taylor let out a laugh and got a gulp of air before continuing the conversation. This whole 'need to breathe' was cutting into her chat. "Thats how i had to answer the why do we wear clothes question." She smirked, hoping he knew how she felt. "Would be pretty cool, to live under water, but i spose if i had lived with it my whole life i wouldnt know any different." She said with an understanding tone.

"How old are you?" She decided to ask out of the blue, she actually had quite a few questions she wouldnt mind answered.

"Well I think it'd be great living on the ground." Storm replied, Then heard her ask him his age.
"I'd rather not say." He said, apolegetically. "I heard someone likes you." Storm then said, trying to change the subject

Taylor nodded with a shrug. If he didnt want to say then she guessed it didnt matter. Taylor filed it in her brain to check how old mermaids could live to later. Her attention snapped to Storm and then the need to breathe interupted. Slightly annoyed she took a quick breath before returning. "Who might that be?" Taylor said her interest had been snagged.

"Just a Gryffindor First Year." Storm said. "Why, You interested?" He asked, chuckling slightly.

Taylor thought about the Gryffindor first years she knew. There was Aeon, Robert and Sern. Wow that really wasnt alot of Gryffindor first years. "More curious." Taylor laughed. "As i always am." She smiled cheekily before swimming back to the shore, but not pulling herself up yet.

Storm raised an eyebrow at her. "Why don't you try and guess?" He said, Hoping that she would.

It was then that Taylor pulled herself onto the shore, she thought about it for a moment. Her first guess would be Aeon. She hadnt really talked to anyone else. She stuck her head in the water and took her first guess. "I guess that its Aeon, because i havnt talked to my other guesses as much as i have Aeon." She said matter-of-factly.

"Well you sound very much like a matter-o-fact type, Sure your not a Ravenclaw?" He replied, trying to image her with glasses on. "And you were right."

Taylor laughed at that and pulled her head out of the water for yet another breath of air. He then said she was right and Taylor wanted to beam with her awesome guessing skills, but on the other hand, she had the fact that Aeon liked her. "Didnt really see that coming." Was all she would say. She was slightly stumped.

((Sorry, wasn't paying much attenyion to this ))

"Disappointed huh?" Storm asked, swimming on his back. He looked at her with his aquatic, watery eyes.

Taylor shook her head slowly. "No no, i just.. Dont really know what to say really. I dont know what to think either to be honest." She probably sounded stupid, but that was what was really going on in her brain right now. "How did you know that? Dragged him in the lake too?" She smirked.

Storm raised his eyebrow at the girl. "I didn't drag him in, He came at his own will, He already knew he could speak to me underwater. He comes and goes here as he pleases, It's great having company."
He said with a smile. "Want to meet my pet Toadfoal?" He asked. "A toadfoal, Incase you didn't know, is the baby version of a Hippocampus, which is the head and top half of a horse with a fish tail."

"Fair enough." Taylor laughed, but was stopped at Storm's next words. She looked up at him dumbfounded. "What the?" She said, referring to the animals he was talking about. They were things she hadnt heard of. "Yeah ok. I have no idea what the heck that is though." She chuckled slightly embarassed, but she knew most people probably didnt know what they were.

Storm turned around and spoke in mermish at a hole at the botton of the cave, suddenly, a young half horse half fish creature swam out and made its way to them. It was cute and small with big round curious eyes that seemed the sparkle. It swam up to the girl and seemed to smile. "This, Is Foaly." Storm explained, gesturing to the toadfoal which was now circling the girl. "I think he likes you."

Taylor glanced as well as she could at the creature. She had got used to her eyes being open under the water, but she suddenly needed to breath, so had to stop looking at the creature. Returning under the surface, she reached out and stroked the creature. "Its so cute." She grinned at it.

Storm beamed at her before finally speaking. "Do you like Aeon?" He asked in his musical, enchanting, luring voice. "You can trust me." He stated. Aeon needed to know, If she didn't like him then he'd have to find some other girl instead of waiting for Taylor.

Looking up at Storm, she furrowed her brow slightly. "Im sure you said the same thing to Aeon, when he told you he liked me in the first place." She quirked back, with a knowing grin.

Storm continued on. "He told me to tell you." He said flatly, putting out his hand which Foaly rushed to. He patted the toadfoal and looked back at Taylor.
