Candy smiled at him, "yeah but i've seen you cry and let me tell you i rather see you cry then not for if you didn't then i would think you hated your uncle" she said, giving him a kiss on the lips.
Jasper stood up and walked away from Candy before turning round and looking at her. "Why do you want me to??" His voice was rising slightly. He was angry and shocked and didn't know what he was doing.
Candy stood up to, "because it would show you care about someone other then yourself" she said, not even caring if he saw the tears that dripped down her face now.
"I do!!" Jasper practically shouted it. "The whole time everyone was moarning the death of my parents, I acted brave because then they wouldn't be worried about me and they would be able to go about their day to day stuff with out having to look after me." He shook his head and looked out the window. "I don't care what you say, I intend to do the same thing now."
"I can't help that." Jasper walked over to the window and rested his forehead on the cold glass. He could feel his anger about to explode. He had to stay away from Candy right now. He didn't want to hurt her again.
Candy looked at him, "yeah i guess i was right you don't care what happenes to anyone else as long as your life isn't part of it you rather just stay in a room and pretend everything ok but it isn't Jasper nothing ever ok" she yelled at him, "just look at me do i look like i'm ok hte guy that beat me up is dead and i'm crying because i knew he was part of the man i love family" she yelled at him again.
Jasper couldn't hold in his anger any longer but he knew he couldn't hurt Candy. No matter how much she was making him frustrated. He moved himself away from the window slightly and smashed his fist through the wood and glass. He could see blood there but didn't pay any attention to it. He turned to Candy. "Why do you always have to have your own way?! Why can't you just be here for me?! Instead you have to anger me more than I already am!!" He couldn't stop himself. His anger had taken control so once again he had lost himself in it.
Candy took a step back and tripped over something tears in her eyes, "i am here for you..... just you don't want me here" she said, trying to get back up but she couldn't so she just covered her face and wept.
Jasper couldn't go over to Candy. He stayed planted where he was and looked out the window. He saw the drop below and thought for a minute. Just maybe...wouldn't it make everyone's lives better?? He could feel the pain starting pulse through his hand. It was agonizing.
Candy got up and walked over to him and wrapped him in a hug, "just Jasper think of me and why i'm here" she said, wanting to just have her Jasper back.
Jasper felt breathless. His hand was covered in blood and his mind was covered with black. He didn't know what to do. Then he felt it. The tears fell from his eyes. He wrapped one arm round Candy and left the other by his side so he didn't get blood on her. He kissed her head and held her tight, not wanting her to go.
Candy felt his tears and then she kissed his lips, "you know i love you Jasper but i don't know where i stand in your book so i can't tell you anything" she said, feeling her tears.
"I love you. I just..." Jasper took a deep breath. He couldn't breath properly and he needed to get it under control. "I feel like I'm going to hurt you everytime I get angry. I don't want you to be hurt. I want you safe."
Candy pulled back, "no your afraid of something else you hurting me is when i'm away from you and you do this.... this keep your self away but i'm safe when i'm with you Jasper because i love you" she said, giving him a kiss.
"How can you be safe with someone who punches through windows to stop himself from punching people??" He leaned back against the wall as he felt the blood run down his hand along with the enormous pain which was engulfing his whole hand.
Candy shook her head, "what do i have to do to prove to you i'm safe with you jump out this here window?" she said, starting toward the window like she was gonna jump.
"Don't go." He kept hold of her. He didn't want her to go. He loved her. "I can't live without you." He kissed the top of her head then moved his finger, feeling pain shoot through his hand. He groaned in pain but didn't move from the grip he had on Candy.
"Fine. Be like that. Go." Jasper walked over to his bed and grabbed a raggy cloth from the draw beside it. He then started trying to wrap it round his hand.
