An overactive Perseas Stratis was roaming the grounds that morning with nothing else but mischief in his bright mind. His hyperactivity needed to be fed constantly or it could be put into bad use. Being bored was one thing that the second hear didn't want ever to feel so that Sunday morning that the castle was frustratingly quiet and dull, he had decided to search for thrills outside, under the bright sun. He had hoped that he was going to find people playing Quidditch at the pitch but no one was all he had found. On his way back to the castle, his attention was drawn by the enormous pumpkins of vivid orange colors, thriving at their patches. A quill and a bottle of Everlasting Ink was all he need from his back bag to start drawing funny faces on the large vegetables. When he was done after a few minutes, the pumpkins had acquired funny expressions, some others were smiling devilishly, whereas a few others were left staring depressed.

His trail of havoc continued by statuaped little animals like birds or chipmunks which were unfortunate enough to come across his way. Perseas loved using his wand and he was casting the spells he had learned already whenever he was given the opportunity. A crow was his last unlucky victim which petrified on the spot as he arrived at the castle. It was hard to miss the great fountain in the middle of the sun showered courtyard with the four houses' mascots spitting plumes of water into the central pond. The idea dropped in his head as the sly smirk formed on his face. His silver grey eyes were sparkling with impatience as he walked closer to the fountain and took his wand again in his hand. The young trouble-maker started mumbling incantations while constantly flicking his wand at the badger's statue which gaping mouth was currently pouring water. Perseas was trying a spell they hadn't been taught at transfiguration classes but he had found in an old book with transfiguration spells for ambitious pranksters. Although it seemed he wasn't getting it right, he didn't seem discouraged. His crafty eyes were radiating determination as he kept chanting the incantations. And suddenly, the water coming out of the badger's mouth changed color. It acquired a dark shade of brown as well as a heavier smell that was reminding him of pirates and tropical islands. He watched excited the transparent water of the pond being contaminated by the dark liquid and scooped with his hands some of it from the statue's mouth. He tasted it and it was sweet but with the strong aftertaste of alcohol burning his nostrils.
"Rum!" he exclaimed with a smile and let the rest of the sweet drink flow among his fingers and end up in the fountain's pond. He watched for a bit longer the pond being filled with rum as he was starting thinking of his next little mischief.
