It was the second week of Aspen Faye's first year at Hogwarts and the girl was still buzzing. She had managed to find her way to all her classes, and everything had been super interesting. Aspen had been learning all her life how to sit still as she spent a good chunk of her days sitting in a van or a ute, yet at Hogwarts, she got to walk - no, run everywhere! It was an exhilarating feeling, to be able to travel with her feet, to know that her feet were not polluting the air. As kind to the earth as her family was, petrol in the car was a big source of pollution - at least that is what her mother told her. But, it was better than all the electricity wasted, and all the hoarding that took place if you lived in your own house. Aspen had never had the want of living in a house, but her cousin Riven did. Aspen hadn't seen Riven too much since the sorting, but she seemed to be loving it. Of course she was though, Riven hated everyday travelling.
The day was chilly, but the sun was out, and that meant Aspen was out as well. The previous weekend, Aspen had decided to explore the Castle, though she didn't make it through the whole place. It was way too massive to discover in just a weekend! However, Aspen didn't want to be confined indoors on a sunny day, so she got herself dressed and ready as soon as the sun rose. What a day to be alive! Where there was magic, and friends and adventures to go on! Aspen ran down the stairs, out of her Common Room and down towards the Hogwarts Grounds, apologizing to those she ran into on the way. Aspen hardly stopped for a breath of air, and by the time she had made it up a tall hill, she was out of breath. It had only been two weeks at the school, she couldn't expect herself to be fit just yet. She thought it would be nice to have a running buddy, to exercise with, or maybe even someone to explore with. Placing her hands on her hips, Aspen looked out, realizing that she was by the Cliffs. New Zealand had different scenery compared to Australia, but it wasn't the stunning view that took Aspen's breath away. It was the danger, the closeness to the edge, where if you made one step wrong, you'd fall. Of course, the blonde didn't want to fall, but the adrenaline was pulsing through her body, and it made her want to get closer to the edge. Aspen tiptoed closer, not too close, but close enough to see the jagged rocks at the bottom, the waves beating against the cliffside. Aspen carefully took a step back, feeling an uneasy pit in her stomach. How radical though!

Having spent the past week sitting inside among his peers, gritting his teeth through introductory lessons and repeated lists of classroom rules he found himself insanely stir crazy. In spare moments he dragged Apollo around and together they explored the castle halls looking for secrets or hidden passageways and the short space of a week it managed to satisfy his need to explore, however he quickly grew bored of seeing the same stone walls and corridors over again. Walking to class had become as much of a chore for him as it did any other student. It was safe to say he had become very, very bored. By the time the second week rolled over the eleven year old wasted no time getting out of bed at the crack of dawn and making his way towards the castle grounds. Any hallway, classroom or common room he had yet to explore needed to wait. He had spent too much time inside to waste more precious daylight confined within stone walls.

The morning chill stifled his enthusiasm but he did his best not to let it bother him as he made his way down to the castle grounds. By now he had spent enough time in New Zealand to adjust to the time zone difference, though the change in temperature would take a lot longer to get used to. Even in winter, Australia's weather was warm so the red haired boy found it a task to get out of bed in the bitter mornings. Today he managed it without a second thought but on a regular day it seemed impossible. He was in an over sized, warm hoodie yet even after scaling the edges of the great lawn the cold still bothered him. The sun was out yet did nothing to warm his chilly skin so he sped his walk to a jog in an attempt to warm himself up. His jog continued to the cliffs, and after a quick look around he noticed he wasn't alone. If it weren't for this other person he would have jogged somewhere else, though the sight of them standing near the edge intrigued the boy enough to stay. With tip toed footsteps he approached the girl, keeping quiet as not to be detected, while getting close enough to figure out what she was doing. When he realized it wasn't anything interesting, he decided to have some fun with her. Standing near the edge of a cliff wasn't the smartest thing and Archie couldn't help but frighten her a little. Without a word he grasped his hands around her shoulders and pushed her forward slightly, not letting go of her shoulders as he pulled her back towards him. "Saved your life!" He laughed as he let go of her shoulders and stepped back. She would probably think he was rude but on a cold morning when he had nothing better to do, he really couldn't help himself.
