Scorpius lay flat on his back on the Quidditch Pitch that evening, with his hands behind his head as a pillow, and the sun setting up in the sky. He wore a long sleeved blue and brown sweater and jeans and his Sienna Storm lay beside him carelessly on his side. He had just finished doing a few 'warm ups' around the Pitch after team practice for the upcoming game and decided to hang around for a while because he'd sent Sam an owl earlier telling him to meet him here later on that day. It seemed the pair of best friends had been so busy all year that they hardly got to see each other at all! Scorpius didn't like the feeling at all and he guessed Sam didn't either, so he had decided to put off the studying that had consumed him most of the time for one night to hang out and catch up with his best friend.

When Sam received the note from Scorpius he couldn't have been more happy. The pair had barely spoken all year and that bugged him. He didn't know why things went like that. But putting that in the past Sam had a lot to tell Scorpius, as far as he knew Scorpius wasn't told about himself and Toni, unless Taylor had told him. When the time came Sam grabbed his Emerald Streak and quickly headed down to the Quidditch Pitch. He was wearing a green shirt over a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans, his hair had no gel in it and naturally stayed a certain way which Sam now preferred. Once he arrived on the Quidditch Pitch Sam saw Scorpius instantly, casually he walked over to him. "Long time no see." Sam grinned down at his best friend on the grass.

Scorpius had only just shut his eyelids over his grey eyes when he heard someone approach and heard his best friend's voice. He quickly opened up his eyes to see the image of his friend standing up over him. Scorpius pushed himself up into a sitting position as he grinned up to Sam as he nodded in agreement with his statement, it had been too long. "Hey mate!" Scorpius replied in greeting. "Alright then? How've you been?" the Ravenclaw asked as he ruffled his messy hair, still windblown from practice.

Sam plopped himself down on the grass opposite Scorpius and placed his Streak next to him. "I've been great!" He said truthfully. Everything was going great for Sam at that time, compared to that time last year when a lot of things were falling apart. "What about yourself? Oh and I was watching the game. You were doing bloody brilliant!" Sam said with a wide smile on his face. It was not only great to watch a Quidditch match but to watch one that his best friend and his girlfriend were playing in was fantastic! "And you beat up Henric pretty bad." Sam said congratulating him. Henric was also an assistant at QQS but that still didn't mean that he was forgiven for hurting Hoshi the way he did, it meant nothing. Sam could say that he hated the guy, especially after how he played in the match.

A sly smile slipped onto Scorpius' face as Sam said he was great. He didn't know it for sure yet, but he had the strangest feeling that Sam and Toni were back together. Whether they were or they weren't, Scorpius still hadn't seen much of either of them long enough to have a chat with them. Scorpius chuckled and shook his head modestly as Sam mentioned his Quidditch game against Slytherin. "And I saw your game too, great job Sam!" Scorpius replied with the grin he got when the two of them began speaking about Quidditch. Even though he knew Sam had tried out for Chaser and preferred that position, he couldn't help but be happy at the fact that they were both playing the same position.

Scorpius laughed as Sam had actually congratulated him for nearly causing Henric to fall off his broom but to say that he beat him up pretty bad wasn't entirely true. Henric had given him a kick in the face as revenge for that but the Ravenclaw was beginning to expect to get hurt one way or another. Scorpius scowled slightly at the recollection of Henric but didn't let his sour mood stay long. He knew Sam wouldn't like the boy either because of what pain he'd caused Hoshi so he said, "Make sure you finish him up in the next match," with a playful wicked grin. He knew Hufflepuff was going to be playing against Slytherin and now that they all knew what Slytherin was like, he wanted his friends to be cautious and on guard.

Sam smiled proudly, he had enjoyed himself so much in that game. Even though Hufflepuff didn't win, it still didn't seem to dampen his spirits. "Thanks. I now prefer playing Beater. For my first year at proper games anyway..I mean there's less pressure and stuff." He said casually. "And hopefully with practice I might get good enough at it." He said while pulling a few blades of grass from the ground. Chaser was Sam's main position and at first he was pretty bummed but after the Quidditch match he was glad that he wasn't a chaser.

Sam had to laugh at what Scorpius had said. The pair were both protective over Hoshi and it seemed they both felt the same way about Henric. "Well, I'll try my best." He said with a playful smirk followed by a soft chuckle. He was very looking forward to his next game. Hopefully Hufflepuff will pull through and win it. "So how are you and Tay doing?" He asked him curiously. It really did not suprise him how much he and Scorpius had to catch up on and Sam was going to make sure that this 'not-seeing-each-other' thing wouldn't happen again.

Scorpius chuckled when Sam said he preferred Beater since there was less pressure. He nodded his head in agreement, after watching all the Chasers in action at the last game he agreed. Seeker too was a tough position. His father had tried to get him into being a Seeker, but Scorpius just liked the brutality of a Beater, and there was way less pressure on that position than any other in Quidditch.

Scorpius grinned once more when Sam said he'd try his best to get Henric back. He knew Sam would do great. Even if Chaser had been his desired position and he was really quite a natural at the position, he was a pretty darn good Beater also. If he remembered correctly he had taken out Andromeda Fiorelli in their last game. He supposed it was just Sam's overall love of Quidditch in general that made him a versatile player.

When Sam asked about Taylor, Scorpius grinned as usual and shrugged his shoulders. "Pretty good," he stated nonchalantly though he thought it was an understatement. After everything in the Gossip Magazine and weird bumps along the road they still seemed to be going pretty strong. "Though I keep thinking about having to play against her in the next game, pretty weird..." he commented with a small laugh. Still, the thought didn't linger on his mind as he was dying to ask Sam a question. "Speaking of girlfriends," he began, his face calm and not grinning this time. "You and Toni been hanging out recently?" he asked with an innocent look. Scorpius hadn't seen his friends in so long since he was devoting himself to Quidditch and keeping up his grades to stay on the team, but that didn't mean he couldn't hear what people were saying in the halls.

Sam nodded with a small smile on his face as Scorpius said that himself and Taylor were going pretty good. He was glad that there wasn't a lot of drama for them and any drama that was there had died down. A lot of drama had died down since the Gossip Magazine had ended, or maybe thats just what Sam thought since he didn't know about any other drama's around the school anymore. Sam knew that this woud come up in the conversation: him and Toni. He looked down at the grass and continued to pluck random blades while a happy smile slipped onto his face.

"Eh..yeah.." He said before looking back up at his friend. "We're kinda a thing now." His smile was growing wider and wider. They weren't kinda a thing, they were a thing. But Sam knew that Scorpius would understand what he meant. It seemed that everyone in his group of friends already knew about him and Toni before they even knew about each other. He was almost positive that Scorpius wouldn't be surprised with the news.

Scorpius wanted to laugh as soon as he saw the smile on Sam's face that could only come from liking a girl, but he refrained from laughing because he knew that he too got the same look with the mention of Taylor. Once Sam revealed that he and Toni were an item however, he actually did laugh out loud. "About time don't you think?" he teased his best friend. At first Scorpius hadn't caught on at all about Sam and Toni liking each other since the beginning of the year but when he had finally realized it he had thought back through the entire year and noticed that they had always been showing signs of a crush on each other. Weird signs though, like avoiding each other's eye rather than sneaking flirty glances. Still, Toni and Sam had always sorta had a 'thing' all along, now they had just made it official. "Anyway, congrats man," Scorpius said with a grin, clapping him on the shoulder.

Sam rolled his eyes as Scorpius said it was about time, "Yeah I know." Sam had liked Toni since the beginning of their second year and it took him half the year to realize it and to actually do something about it. Sam laughed as Scorpius clapped him on the shoulder though he didn't really want to talk about girls anymore. "So...anyway." He said quickly changing the subject, "Its going to be weird once Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff have a match won't it?" Sam said to Scorpius almost picturing it in his head. The pair of friends were both beaters so they would really be playing againt each other. Of coarse it was all just fun and games but when Sam got into a match, he really got into it. But also the thought of firing bludgers at Scorpius worried him a little, he had seen players being rushed off the pitch after a bludger injury and with Scorpius being his best friend, things would be a lot different.

Scorpius and Sam didn't dwell on the subject of girls very long, since their partners of choice weren't anything new to the two of them. As usual for the pair of boys, the subject of Quidditch came up again, one that they could surely talk about for hours on end if no one interrupted them. He grinned crookedly as Sam brought up the fact that they'd have to play against each other, but then again, the entire Quidditch season was going to be an awkward one all around for them. "I know it is," he agreed with Sam with a small nod of his head. "But then again pretty much every game is. There's Toni and Hoshi in Slytherin, Taylor in Gryffindor, and you in Hufflepuff," he listed, ticking them off on his fingers.

Still, he knew that playing against Sam would be completely different, more competitive, more run-ins with each other. They were both Beaters, which meant they would automatically be working against each other; if one tried to hit their team's chaser then the other would come in and block it. Still, it wasn't going to stop Scorpius from doing his best, he had to focus on only helping his team to victory. He was just glad that Sam wasn't a Chaser like he wanted to be, because then Sam would have to be a target for him.

[Sorry!]

Sam listened as Scorpius listed off all their friends. It was probably one of the downfalls of having friends in separte houses. "But.." he began as he looked up at the sky with a mock innocent expression on his face. "I'm not going to hold back on kicking your teams a$$." He said with a smirk. He didn't know how this match would turn out. Ravenclaw seemed to be a good strong team, it would be tough. Sam wasn't going to hold back though, he would play his part for their team. Even if his best friend happened to be apart of it.

[No worries! :) ]

Scorpius laughed as Sam said his team would kick Ravenclaw's butt. "'sif!" he replied, giving his friend a friendly shove on the shoulder. "We're gonna win the cup, I just know it, you'll see," he stated confidently, though really he could never predict that outcome for sure, they had only played their first game, there was no need to jinx it just yet. And in the end, it didn't even matter to Scorpius, because Quidditch was something he found fun, something to let loose in, and not something to stress or over-work for, he didn't care if they had practices morning, day, and night, because he didn't ever seem to get tired of it. The feeling of flying was an irreplaceable kind of feeling by anything else. "But still, it'll be a great game no matter what," he said somewhat more serious, giving his friend a small nod of respect for his team as well.

Sam rolled his eyes playfully as Scorpius said that Ravenclaw would win the cup. After the first game against Slytherin they certainly showed they were well able of winning the cup. But Hufflepuff wouldn't go down without a fight. Sam was passionate about Quidditch and he was going to show that in the next couple of games. Sam was excited just thinking about playing with the team once more. The roars from the crowd, the adrenline from flying, even smacking a bludger was fantastic! Being on the team just seemed to make quidditch a lot more fantastic. "I've no doubt about that." Sam nodded in agreement, the game against Ravenclaw would certainly be one to watch. Just thinking about him and Scorpius being on the team brought him back to the times when it was just himself, Toni and Scorpius. When they would talk endlessly about Qudditch and would laugh at the day when they would have to play a match against themselves. "It seems such a long time ago." Sam finished his thoughts outloud. "When me and you and Toni would be laughing about playing against each other?" He looked from the grass to Scorpius to see what he thought about it.
