Closed Big Secret

Priyanka could no longer hide the fact that her eyesight was quite bad and that she had to wear glasses, but she was ashamed to wear them. She was afraid that others would laugh. She had been sitting in the Conglomerated Arts Room for quite some time, realizing that she couldn't see the notes without them and couldn't play anything, and she even cried, wondering what she would do now. She probably couldn't do anything else, but Priya needed her cousin's shoulder and also encouragement that everything would be okay. So she tore a page out of her music book and wrote a message to Vikram that she would wait for him in the garden urgently.

Before going to the garden, she took the music book and the music book to her room, then took the case that contained her glasses from the chest, then slipped the note under the door of the room where Vikram lived. Priyanka hoped that her cousin would find the note pretty quickly. When that was done she went out of the palace and slowly walked towards the garden. She put her glasses case in her jacket pocket. When she reached the garden she found a bench that was free and sat down and waited for Vikram to come.

Vikram had been taking a walk about the castle, and returned to the dorm rooms only after a shower. He stepped on the note as he walked in the door. He was a bit surprised, bending down to pick it up. The ink was a little smudged yet still legible. A quick scan told him what he needed to know. Humming, he tossed the towel to the dirty laundry and slipped on his shoes, jogging down to the gardens. "Hey, Priya," He called as soon as he spotted her sitting down. "Sorry it took me a second." He dropped down next to her. "What's up?" He asked, stretching out his long legs and looking to the younger girl.

Priyanka only had to wait a few seconds, when Vikram was already there. She looked at her cousin, smiled at him. ''Hello, Vik!'' she said, gripping her glasses case tighter in her hands. Vikram asked what happened. Priya didn't know how to start, but then she took a deep breath. ''What happened is that since the summer my vision started to get bad, so my mom took me to the eye doctor, but now I have to wear glasses.'' she said, pointing to the glasses case. ''I'm afraid I'll look ugly in it and everyone will laugh at me.'' Priyanka confessed to Vikram, because only he could reveal it.

Vikram raised a brow as she spoke, glancing down to the glasses case. "Well, have you considered contacts?" He offered gently. "And if you aren't comfortable with that, then that's alright. Here, put them on," He motioned for her to put the glasses on her face, sure that any reassurances he tried to offer wouldn't work unless she was actually wearing them. "They can't be that bad. Let me see," He gave her his most reassuring smile.

Priyanka looked at Vikram when asked about contact lenses. Of course, she had asked her parents about it, but the answer was glasses first and then contacts. ''Yes, I asked my parents, they said later. You already know what they are like." she replied. ''They are comfortable, but they make you see better. "Put them on?" she asked him again, but then opened her glasses case, took them out, and put them on. She had just put on glasses, looked at her cousin. ''What does it look like? Be completely honest, please.'' she asked him, a shy smile appearing on her face.
