Nina knew she still had to keep trying out to be on the Quidditch team. It felt a bit unfair, since she thought that the game against Hogwarts would at least let her keep her alternate spot, but they were the rules and Nina wasn't going to start arguing about them. Besides, Vincent was one of the captains, and she wasn't going to be taking his starting spot. She liked the older boy, though, he was cool. She beamed at both Vincent and Malik (having to crane her head to look at the beater, but she honestly thought it was kind of awesome that he was so tall). "Niniane Archambeau! Trying out for seeker!" she figured they'd know who she was, but she had to go through doing the right thing anyway.
Nina mounted up and took off with the others, searching for the snitch and dodging bludgers that got sent her way. It took a little while for her to find it, but she got there eventually. Her fingers clenched around the tiny golden ball and she held it up with a grin. "Voila!" she called, before letting it go. She managed to find it a second time before the tryouts were up, and despite taking at least one bludger hit (which she'd feel more once she stopped flying), she felt pretty happy about what she'd done.
