Gaby was excited for another year of quidditch, even if there was a bit of a melancholic feeling to it as well. This would be her last year on the team and she'd hate to leave it behind. All the more reason why she wanted to do good, to finally beat Ilvermorny after a couple succeeding years of losing to the American team. It wasn't even as if she felt like the other team was way better than they were. Maybe they had just been lucky. Maybe this would be their year. If anything, she had faith in her teamand loved playing alongside them. After getting everything ready for practice Gaby waited on her team, happily greeting them as they slowly started to arrive. "Hi team, welcome back! And welcome to our newest chaser, Sébastian." She smiled at them before clapping her hands together. "Okay, let's just get right to it. Nothing new, I'm just going not going to divide you into teams as per usual. Amelie, Gemma, Florence and Sébastien you'll be one team. Hugo, Élise, Ava and me will be the other. Beaters, I might set you free from the teams a bit further into practice if things get too brutal. Aramis, well, you know the drill." Gaby nodded at the Keeper, wondering what the team would be like after they had left at the end of the year. "All clear? Let's go!"

[OOC: No arrivals, let's get straight to it!]

Hugo got on his broom and shot into the air looking around for the snitch immediately.

Gemma was looking forward to a new quidditch season. Last year had not gone according to plan and she was ready to get better than ever to crush the American team. She listened as Gabby gave them instructions and grinned at Hugo when they were put on different teams. Without another word she kicked into the air and started to search for bludgers.

Ava was excited for quidditch, quickly making her way to the pitch and listening to what the captain had to say. She tried her best to remember who was and wasn't on her team before pushing herself off into the air and chasing after a bludger. She gave it a whack when she reached it and watched as it sailed towards Amelie but grimaced when it steered off course and sailed towards @Gemma Thorne instead. "Heads up!" Ava called out, hoping the older beater might be able to knock it away.

Sébastien was a bit nervous for his first practice but the captain made him feel welcome immediately. He got onto his broomstick and shot into the air, grabbing the quaffle before the other Chasers could do so.

It was an interesting feeling for Aramis, knowing that he was technically counting down days till he was done with Beauxbatons and done playing Quidditch. He gave Gaby a nod as she handed out their practice assignments before kicking into the air. He winced sympathetically when Gemma got a bludger sent her way immediately, but tried to focus on their new chaser when he grabbed the quaffle.

Once she was certain everyone knew what they had to do Gaby hopped on her broom and pushed herself off from the ground, flying after the new chaser after he snatched the quaffle.

Elise was excited for the next year and she kicked of her broom from the ground. She didn't spot any bludgers around so she just stayed close to the seeker.

Ava looked for another bludger to hit.

When Sébastien couldn't see his fellow Chaser around, he decided to make an attempt at scoring a goal, his first goal. But he missed, his aim was way off.

New chasers were tough to predict but Aramis couldn't help but apparently he need not to have worried about Sébastien too much, snorting as his shot went well wide before swooping to scoop it back up and out to the chasers.

Gaby watched as Sébastien made his first attempt at the hoops, giving Aramis a look when she noticed his reaction. She caught the quaffle when he threw it back out and turned around to take a lap around the pitch.

Gemma sucked in a sharp breath as a bludger crashed into her. She grit her teeth but kept moving looking for one to hit herself.

Ignoring the Keeper's reaction when he missed his first shot, Sébastien turned around to follow Gaby.

Ava gave the bludger she had been chasing a whack and watched it sail off in no particular direction.

Aramis tried to make himself look busy as Gaby did a lap, knowing he'd have to be more on this toes when she tried to make her shot.

Gaby circled back towards the hoops and made her shot, jokingly wiggling her eyebrows at Aramis when the quaffle sailed right through.

Gemma spotted a bludger and raced after it. She swung her bat and watched it fly but frowned when it missed Hugo by a hair.

Aramis was no where near fast enough to stop Gaby, nodding in acknowledgement before shaking his head with a huff of amusement at her. "Alright, alright," he said, grabbing the quaffle and throwing it back out.

Gemma didn't have much of a break before she had to rush and knock away a bludger that was heading right towards Amelie. The bludger went wide but she was at least able to protect her seeker.

Aramis stretched, keeping a weather eye on Gemma when she made any sudden movements.

Gemma sighed when no bludgers made an appearance and wondered what they were up to. Practice had just started and her bat was itching for some action.

Sébastien caught the quaffle when it was thrown back and begun his lap around the pitch.

Gemma spotted a bludger flying just past her head. Thankfully she had been able to duck just in time and chased after it. She swung her bat and grinned as it made solid contact with the bludger and sent it flying right toward Hugo. @Hugo De Rosier
