Minoas smirked and slowly receded as his astral projections charged. If he was going to master this spell, in the future he might was able to summon a whole army. There were still a lot of flaws he had to fix. They were an unpredictable bunch of individuals who couldn't be tamed. For now he could only watch them dissolve in clouds of smoke as his two friends were doing a great job of countering them. Things seemed to be getting out of control when one of his projections tried to struggle Sandalio and Minoas pointed his wand to counteract but in the end Elbio made it burst into a cloud of dust. He watched his two friend and now opponents regrouping and he took a step back but ready to use the next ace up in his sleeve. "You did a great job I must confess." he admitted as none of his projections were left to defend him except from a few lost somewhere in the forest. They were nowhere near to cause a diversion. "Well, I can't create more of them now that you point at me with your wands." he said while pointing his wand back at them. Creating more projections was exhausting at least after going through so much pain. Minoas had a couple more spells today to demonstrate, he was just waiting the right moment to use the element of surprise but maybe he had to cast one of them now that he was cornered. However, before he was able to think of it twice, something swooshed above him and pinned down on the earth between him and his opponents. His bewilderment turned into shock when he spotted the arrow on the ground still wobbling.
He turned around to see a herd of hostile looking centaurs appearing out of the thick vegetation at the slopes of the small crater the three of them were standing in. Centaurs were usually tolerant towards young humans but the three of them were no longer children. They were almost adults and they surely looked adults in the eyes of those centaurs. "We don't mean to trespass your lands." Minoas began saying, remaining calm and composed despite the danger he was facing. "We lost our way to the castle. We were on our way back." he explained, not sure if they had really wandered so far away from the grounds and into the centaurs' territory. The glares the three of them were receiving, were suggesting they were into their turf. "No excuses human." spat one of the centaurs, standing at the edge of the crater. "You have been found trespassing our territory, you are going to be punished the centaur way. Catch them!" he barked and the herd started charging down the muddy slopes of the crater. "Run! I'll slow them down!" Minoas told to the other two and waved his wand. "Ormovlasta!" he shouted and every single stone or cone pine resting on the ground raised in the air before him, charged with pure, white light. A chill went down his spine as the centaurs gushed like a river down the slope but he didn't flinch. He wand was pointing at the levitating charged objects in front of him. When the time was right, he flicked his wand and dozens of glowing stones and pine cones hurled towards the slope's feet and the first descending centaurs. Upon contact the charged projectiles exploded, blasting several centaurs backwards, falling on others following behind them. A landslide was caused by this chain of explosions. Mud drifted downhill the centaurs, crushed them and partially buried some of them. With a winning smirk, Minoas wasted no more time and ran for dear life as more arrows missed him for inches. He had to find Elbio and Sandalio. Suddenly, their little game of outlasting each other had turned into a life-threatening situation where they had to join forces.
