Back down to earth

[Liberty Kaelen]

Libby was sat in her favourite tree. It was late evening and the sun was begining to set. She hadn't been to this point within the last year and now she had finally found some time to spend by herself. She thought about others who did the same thing. Only Ti was the other person who she knew jumped out of trees, but whether he liked to stay in them a while first she didn't know.

It was quite and she didn't want to run into anyone who was up for a fight. She had had enough of Larissa and her little plans recently. She hadn't done anything wrong anyway. Quidditch had been suprizingly more difficult than she was expecting it to be. That was anothing thing she should start practing for again.

She sat in the tree a while longer, before turning her attention to the group below. She would have to get out of this forest soon or she might not be able to through the darkness. Dropping out of it, she was pleased to find she'd managed to land on her feet, however as she went to walk the front of her foot caught a branch, making Libby fall.

Emilie was wandering the forbidden forest, which really to her was just the forest. She didn't really care about the forbidden part. She wasn't lost, but she didn't exactly know exactly where she was. Oh well, she continued to walk. She heard a thud a little while ahead of her, she stopped. Listening. She couldnt hear anything so she continued to walk. Suddenly she spotted a girl who looked as though she had tripped over. She rushed over to see if she was ok.

"You okay?" she said when she got there and offered a hand. She recognised the girls face and was sure she had met her; but cudn't remember her name.

Libby stood up and brushed herself off, just as someone came over to her. "Hey" she smiled through the darkness, even though it would have been impossible to notice. "Emilie?" she asked. She'd only spoken to her once at the begining of the year. "Yeah, yeah i'm fine" she said. "What are you doing around here?" she asked, looking at the first year on her own.

Emilie nodded

"Yeah, and umm Libby? Right?" she asked when it came back to her.

"I dunno" she replied shurgging "Just wanted to be outside in the fresh air" she explained

"And you?"

"Yup" she grinned. "Oh i just like the trees." she said, before returning to one and climbing up it again. "You get good views" she called, once she reached the top. "Wanna try?"

Emilie couldn't resit climbing trees. She loved it, Ryan, Rubie and her used to do it all the time in there backyard.

"Totally" she replied to Libby, when she asked 'Wanna Try?'. She walked to a tree beside Libby and grabbed a sturdy branch, and pulled herself up. She smiled remembering the last time she had climbed one of these trees. It was when her and Ares had ended up having a huge fruit fight. Good times. She smiled over at Libby, after she had looked around.

"Nice views, for sure" she said, then laughed "Climbing trees is pretty awesome isn't it?"

"It is. And falling out of them is even more fun" she grinned. However last time she had been spying on Larissa from a tree, Larissa had managed to pin her down, which wasn't pretty. "How have your lessons been going? Excited to start your second year?" she asked Emmi

Emi giggled

"Yeah, cept for some odd reason, I fall of brooms more than trees" Emi lost count of the times she had fallen off. Yet she had always tried again, she could be determined when she wanted to.

"Second years going to be great, first years like all about settling in, second year is like 'your here now', plus my brother and sister are joining." she smiled at Libby.

"What about you? Looking forward to third year?"

"Yeah, i know what you mean." she laughed. "Sweet, what house are they hoping to get it? I have a brother who is nearly 10 and a sister whos just had her first birthday. Cedric's coming up when i go into fourth year. I'm looking forward to it, because you know electives and that. I love astronomy most." she said, realizing she had begun to waffle.

"I don't really know, I'm guessing Hufflepuff or Gryffindor though" she paused "Yeah, that will be cool" she said agreeing with Libby. "Astronomy huh" Emi stopped wondering what she liked, she wasn't really sure. "I can't wait for Care of Magical Creautures; not many people know but I love animals" Emi stopped decided she'd talked for long enough, it was Libby's turn.

"sweet" she smiled. "I'm taking Astronomy, Charms, HOM, DADA, Transfig, COMC, Muggle studies and divination.. i think" she said trying to remember them all."

"Do you like flying? You don't get flying lessons in second year" she said remembering her dissapointment.

"Wow, sounds good" Emi replied.

"Flying is.... good. I'm just horrible at it. I've broken my arm once, and many other times gotten bruises and scratches" Emi said, smiling. "Really? No flying lessons? Thats a shame."
