Oskar wasn't sure what he preferred, Hogwarts or his new home. His home had gone from a large house with his family to a small apartment with just his mother. His mother who spent most of his holiday working, leaving him to fend for himself. Not that Oskar was unaccustomed to entertaining himself. But he had been bored out of his mind more than once as he counted down the days till the train left for Hogwarts. School, at least temporarily, felt like a sanctuary. Until he remembered how much he didn't fit in and the discomfort began again. The first week had passed and he sat by himself in the great hall. Grateful to be left alone but the chatter of everyone else kept him from feeling too lonely.
