Angel had a few completed pumpkin boats already, along with a couple kumara boats and one particularly wonky butternut squash boat that Angel honestly didn't think could stay upright if anyone actually tried to sit in it. He watched them bob in the water with the satisfied smile of a man who actually did a little work for once, hands on his hips, before turning to see if he had any adventurous staff or students wanting a go.

"Right, anyone want to hop in? I can give you a little launch out to sea as it were," he said, waggling his wand in explanation. He'd be careful, hopefully no one would end up launched too far into the lake.

Hazel wasn't entirely sure about this even. The idea was fun, and the food smelled great, but the boats made her a little queasy. They didn't look very stable. She wandered over to where her head of house stood with a bunch of 'boats'. She hesitated. "Did you use magic to make them stay afloat better?" She asked cautiously.

Kaysi had been pretty excited about the pumpkin regatta, so she arrived fairly early to think about what kind of boat she might end up making. As she walked past, the young second year heard what she considered a call to action from the Slytherin Head of House. "Meeeee!" Kaysi raised her hand slightly as she bounced on the balls of her feet. She moved forward, quickly dismissing the squash boat - adventurous as she was, she didn't want to end up in the water. She managed to get into one of the pumpkins, only getting the very tip of her sneaker and the sock within wet. She made a face as she realized.
