She feels a great deal of responsibility for them and does her best to be a good role model. Aroha has had a happy childhood so far, though she’s grown up with a modest amount of income. She had a good number of friends at primary school and looks forward to making more at Hogwarts.

Aroha's first year at Hogwarts was good for the most part, although she struggled to get anything good out of her wand. She went on many adventures, exploring the castle, and even tried out for the quidditch team (although she didn't make it on to it). She made some friends along the way, and found potions class in particular to be quite engrossing.​
