Amodeus wasn't sure how he kept getting into these messes. Well, maybe he was a little aware of why. Balance issues and climbing trees was usually a bad idea. He'd just wanted to see if there were any old bird nests in the branches, maybe some lost, pretty feathers. He sighed. It had been a good idea, to start. But he'd slipped, lost his balance. Tumbled a little. And now he was hanging from the tea, his foot caught in the cross of two branches. His robes were up above his face, his hands a foot away from the ground and brushing the trunk. He had wiggled a few times, tried to get himself loose, but it had only seemed to lodge his foot further into the tree. Amodeus sighed again, debating what his next best move would be.

(Sorry it's taken me so long to reply)

Edward was not the most mobile of wizards on foot, but he did enjoy a walk outside when his bad leg allowed. On this particular day he had not intended to walk as far as he had, but some movement in a tree had caught his attention and he'd gone over to investigate. Once he reached the tree he stopped, looking up and surprised to see a student. And then up a little more to see how this student had gotten into this unfortunate position. Edward cleared his throat, "Ahem. Need a little help there?" He offered. He couldn't see their face but would find out who they were soon enough. He reached for his wand, already pretty certain of the answer.

Amodeus had just decided to start wiggling again when he heard a familiar voice. He lit up, trying to wiggle towards the voice and making really no difference at all other than to make his robes sway. "Hi Mr. Teddys Dad! Professor Teddys dad," He corrected, voice muffled. "I didn't find any feathers and now I'm stuck," He sighed dramatically. "Pretty please help me down?" He asked, unable to do much but ask for the assistance.

Edward realised at once who the trapped boy was. He pressed his lips together, suppressing his amusement at being called Professor Teddy's dad although he quite liked the sound of that. “I see that Amodeus,” he replied.“Well, seeing as you asked so nicely,” A simple levitation charm was too easy and Edward was the Transfiguration professor after all. He pointed his wand at the tree and a gust of wind rustled it's branches. The branches twisted into a slide beneath Amodeus and the two branches trapping his foot separated enough for him to be able to dislodge it. “Alright Amodeus,” Edward called up, grinning now, “You’re good to let yourself slide down, just mind your head on the way.”

Amodeus tried to look up to see what happened- the movement dislodged him, and with a squeak he slid down onto the ground. He laughed breathlessly, looking up to the familiar man with a red face and messy hair. "That was fun! We should do it again," He sat up, wobbling a little as the blood left his face. "Oof!" He laughed breathlessly. "They should have parks just to go down slides," He stated, his mind wandering again easily. "Do you think they have any of those?"

Edward smiled and lowered his wand, taking a step closer in case Amodeus needed steadying since that much blood rushing to his head while he was hanging upside down can’t have been good for him. “You really are one of a kind Amodeus.” he said fondly and also faintly concerned for his own lack of safety. He offered a hand to help. “I haven’t transfigured the branches back yet if you would like to slide again.” Edward invited although it did come with terms, “But first you have to promise me that you won’t climb any trees next time you go feather hunting, or for any other reason at that. Not unless a friend is with you.”

Amodeus let the Professor help him up, laughing lightly and shaking his head to straighten out his hair- and failing miserably. He just left it, smiling easily at the man. He almost agreed to slide again, but Professor Pirrips words distracted him. He tilted his head, looking up at him with wide eyes. "Aw, but why? I like climbing trees! Trees just don't always like me back," He admitted, wondering if maybe he could do more to make the trees his friends. "Maybe I just need to bring them some like... food or something. Trees don't like candy, do they?" His brow furrowed. "Maybe just some water, but water seems so boring,"
