Personality: Arachne is a quiet, strange girl. She grew up a little isolated, only with her twin sister for company. With her father and uncle as their example, they realized early on that they only needed each other and other people aren't as important. Arachne is a curious child with various interests, she inherited her father's mild obsession with bugs, though she's unsure if she wants to examine them the way he does. She's interested in anything strange and odd, feeling a kinship with anything labeled 'different'. She's creative and loves to draw, often fixating on specific things she draws over and over until something else catches her eye. Arachne is a gentle soul, not as prickly as she pretends to be. She's curious about the world, but is worried about leaving the things she knows. Between her and her sister, she is usually the one who gives in first, going along with what Nessie wants. Secretly, she pines for connections with others. She would love to make new friends at Hogwarts, but she wants to do it together with her sister, who isn't as keen.

History:
Arachne grew up in New Zealand with her parents and her twin sister. The girls' mother stayed home to raise them, so in their early years they mostly spent time at home. Thinking it would be good for the twins to socialize a bit more, their father changed jobs so they could enroll in the Obsidian Daycare, something the twins didn't really care for at the time. Arachne is the gentler of the two twins and usually went along with what her sister said. In the rare instances she went against her, Nessie would get mean and controlling. Arachne grew up hearing about and seeing the close bond her father has with his brother and she wants the same for her and Nessie. At the same time, her time at daycare has made her more curious about other people. The older she got, the less she enjoyed Nessie's controlling tendencies. Whenever her sister is a bit too much, Arachne distances herself for a while, as long as Nessie lets her. Usually, the two go back to normal without discussing anything unpleasant that happened between them. Arachne is a little closer to her mum than her dad. She loves them both, but she feels like her mum understands her more, even if she also feels like she doesn't really understand Nessie.

Arachne and Nessie are inseparable, they are always together. The two of them understand each other perfectly and often don't need to speak to communicate, a glance is enough.
