Charlotte was in a good mood. The Slytherin Quidditch team had won the last game of the year, and even though they didn't win the cup like last year, Charlotte was still proud of the team. She was glad they were able to win for Alana's final game and hoped that her fellow co-captain was also proud. Better yet, Daniel's reaction when he found out was priceless and she couldn't help and smile whenever she thought about him. It wasn't hard for him to always be on her mind, no matter how much she tried, and she wouldn't replace that with anything.

The prefect was on her way to the Great Hall for some lunch. She decided she was rather hungry and hoped that the food the house elves had cooked would satisfy her needs. Unfortunately, as she walked through the courtyard from the grounds, Charlotte quickly became distracted by the sight of an injured bird who had something caught on its foot. Upon further observation she realised it was a thick piece of string. The girl quickly approached it and daintily tried to give the string a tug, jumping quickly with a loud screech when the bird made a sudden move. She wasn't sure what was wrong with it but was too scared she might hurt it even more if she helped it.

Ever since meeting Jerara at the Yuleball, Eleanor had always kept her eye out again for him. Unfortunately, she hadn't seen him yet this semester but was positive that she hopefully will. It made her look forward to breaks where she could be out looking for him and pretending to be doing something else. She hated having to sit still in a classroom when there were so many good things to discover outside where nature did its thing. Instead of wasting her time in the classroom she could be taking her flower crown making to the next level, and she was sure she could learn more out of that than any boring professor could teach her.

Eleanor began to make her way out to the grounds with a full stomach after a splendid meal in the Great Hall. Meals at Hogwarts had always been the highlight of Eleanor's school year. Nothing could ever beat food made by house elves themselves and she couldn't be more thankful for all they have done for them. But as she made her way through the courtyard she became startled when she heard a high pitched scream from nearby. The Hufflepuff froze, looking around to see what the fuss was. When her eyes lay on the bird lying on the ground she could almost feel herself tear up. There was no way she was going to let this happen. She quickly made her way over to it and realised when she did that it was Charlotte, the older Slytherin prefect, who had screamed which probably made the bird feel worse. "Shhh it's okay." she told the small bird, approaching it carefully with her right hand out in front of her. "There's no need to scream." she added to Charlotte, rolling her eyes. Seriously, some people were stupid.

Alessio was on his way for some fresh air, going outside on the grounds as the weather was fairly nice that day and he was in a good mood, for the first time in what felt like ages. He wondered for how long the Hufflepuff could be in such a great cheerful mood because normally, it didn't last very long, but the thought of his friend Mia made him smile like an idiot. He couldn't help it. The roses she had sent him were just so adorable and he was thinking of what to give her in return. Would confessing his feelings be enough? Al wondered as he walked in the courtyard, hands in his pockets.

His thoughts were soon interrupted by a loud screech, however, and the only thing Alessio could do at this point was to check if the person was alright. It didn't seem like a...happy scream. The Italian found the source of the sound and stopped himself from gasping in shock. Seeing an animal that was hurt saddened him. He didn't miss a second girl on the scene, a fellow 'puff whom he'd seen around the common room quite a few times, though he couldn't for the life of him remember her name. "Uh, is everything okay?" Al queried, still eyeing the girl who was trying to help the poor bird.

Charlotte's scream had seemed to catch the attention of people walking past and she instantly regretted it. She watched as Eleanor, the younger Hufflepuff she had met earlier in the year, approached the bird first without even giving Charlotte a glance. The girl really did have some attitude, especially when she rudely told Charlotte not to scream. The prefect simply pursed her lips as another Hufflepuff boy had come to the scene, asking if everything was okay. "Yes, it's fine." she told him, watching as Eleanor carefully handled the bird. It seemed to like her much more than what it liked Charlotte and she considered leaving for a moment as it would probably be fine without her, but Charlotte didn't just want to walk away whilst it was still in pain, especially considering she was the one to find it.

At first Eleanor didn't notice the boy as she was too occupied with the bird. She wanted it to know that she was not going to hurt it and let it investigate her fingers, not making any sudden movements. When she did notice the boy, she opened her mouth to speak to him but was interrupted by Charlotte who had claimed that everything was fine. This was a lie and it made Eleanor furious, but she took a deep breath before speaking, ignoring what Charlotte had said. "This bird is a bit stressed." she informed the boy. "Do you know anything about birds?" She hoped the boy did as she wasn't exactly the wisest person when it came to animal welfare but she wouldn't bare to leave it alone and wanted to do something to help. The bird slowly limped closer to Ellie's fingers and she smiled at it before proceeding to place a gentle hand on its head, stroking its feathers. She wanted it to know that she was friendly and meant so harm before she tried anything.
