Crystal had never ever had an date to something and she had gathered all the courage she had to ask Weston along to the Yule Ball. Although it would be friendly. At least that was what it seemed to be. She wore an dress in the colour of her house, which was just happend to be so. Evelyn thought it was fitting for her. And there she waited in the hallway for Weston to show up. Hoping this was gonna be an good evening.

Weston had been a little surprised when Crystal had asked him to the ball since he'd never gone with a friend to a ball. He met up with his friends at the dances all the time, but he never went with them. It was a little different knowing there was someone waiting for him, so he actually tried to show up on time. But it seemed she'd still beaten him there. "Hey! Hey! Hi! I'm not late, am I?" Weston asked, a little out of breath from hurrying down a million flights of stairs.

"Okay, good, Weston said, breathing a sigh of relief. He was about to suggest they go in when he remembered he should probably compliment Crystal. He didn't want a repeat of his disastrous date from first year. "I like your dress. It's very winter-y." It was a little strange how the Yule Ball was almost always winter-themed, but he'd mostly gotten used to it now.

Crystal smiled back at Weston, glad that he even showed up. Which was an fear that went through her mind as well. As he gave an compliment Crystal had figured he would use another word so the last word to his sentence made her an bit suprised. And she had an feeling it wasn't as pretty as she hoped. '' Thanks..'' The blonde said with an small smile. '' Let's go inside.'' She than added, and made an gesture to go.

Crystal had smiled and not stormed off, so that meant he'd said the right thing... right? Weston returned the smile, nodded and walked inside, eyes growing wide at the decorations. It felt like he'd stepped into a forest. "Is that a lake??" He wondered how Professor Alcott-Ward had pulled that off.

The thing she liked about Weston was he had interest for Magical Creatures as well. And Crystal just felt it was cool that she went with someone and he was nice to her. Although it wasn't perhaps the coolest person she could go with. He than mentioned the decorations. '' It's beautiful.'' The blonde said. '' This one doesn't have an creature in it.'' She than added.

"It'd be cool if it did," Weston said with a slightly wistful sigh. "There might be fairies in the main tree." The school sometimes used them as decorations for the ball. "What's the Yule Ball like in Scotland? Is it summer themed?"

Crystal nodded and smiled shortly. And looked over to see the tree's to try and see some. She did noticed Louis and some other friends. Also Eugene with an girl. Crystal had hoped she would be liked by boys as well, but Weston seemed to like the decorations more than her. Not that she had the courage or confidence to speak to boys in a other way than friends. '' It's kind of similar. But has it's own charm.'' Crystal didn't want to think of that time. But he didn't had to know. '' Do you uh want to dance?'' She than asked him.

Weston supposed it made sense that the two Hogwarts would host similar events. At Crystal's question, he automatically replied, "Sure!" and headed for the dance floor. He always enjoyed dancing with his friends at these events. A much more romantic song started up, and he realised Crystal probably meant slow dancing. He had a lot less experience doing that. "Uh, I might not be very good," Weston warned before placing his hands at her waist.
