A firm believer that if things are worth doing, they’re worth doing right, Amanita extends this philosophy to all factors of her life. The oldest daughter of Professor Angel Castillo and HNZ Nurse Josephine Arora, Amanita practically has Hogwarts (and Slytherin) in her blood. When it came to her schooling, there was no doubt about which house she was going to end up in.
Amanita grew up in a very magical household, enjoying her early years with one parent or the other around the Hogwarts NZ grounds. Once she got older (and her little sister, Morchella, was born), Amanita stopped spending time on school grounds and instead spent it at various tutors, daycare, or with her favourite aunt, Ella, whom she idolizes.
Her father's relaxed, sometimes careless attitude often leads Amanita to being the voice of reason when with her father. She takes pride in reminding him of important dates, rules, or stupid things he's done in the past to keep him on the straight and narrow. Angel appreciates her candor despite the bossiness. She is a monster of his own creation after all.
Amanita is far more like her mother, collected, proper, and focused on taking care of people. She emulates her mother on all things when she doesn't know what to do and takes great joy from earning her approval or attention.
With her sister, Amanita decided she was going to take care of her from day one.
